      Out of interest zero or sync? Gauge/tension? And what do you feel the improvement is? More spin? Tension maintenance? Would maybe expect less feel? Cheers

    •  6 місяців тому

      @@macattack78 16g on both mains and crosses and zero on the crosses. With the 18/20 string pattern with the head speed pro the launch angle can be low. Having a shaped string helps with the launch angle. But a full bed of restring zero was too unpredictable with the launch angle and it also felt too lively. So I put Tour bite on the mains. For me I felt the tour bite mellowed out the restring zero and lowered the launch angle and made it more predictable.

    @IndraSatyabrata 6 місяців тому +1

    I think you need to add the String Gauge (16/16L/17/18) into the equation as well, as it could be stiffer once you go up the gauge, and vice versa. Add this to the mix, you can go softer with lower gauge if you are happy with that specific string, or higher gauge for more control and tension maintenance.
    Personally, I could play with Hyper G on any racket, as long as the gauge and tension are adjusted..
    18x20 - Hyper G 18 - Tension 45-47
    16x20 - Hyper G 17 - Tension 48-50
    This way I could stay with the string I like, and already know the characteristics, and predictable as well.

The control is phenomenal, spin through the roof, and has all the power you could ever need. Tried RPM Rough Red at same tension, was too launchy and dead feeling. Very good video, As recommending rackets without adapted string is not enough. The third important factor is playing style. We have that too in this video as you are showing you playing. For your play style, with the gravity pro, you should try the Dunlop explosive bite. I will try lynx tour as you suggest.

    Hello! Great video! What string or hybrid string combo do you guys suggest for the volkl V-cell 4??? I need control so that the launch angle is lower. I need it
    To stay in the court. I tried cyclone 125 at 55 and a hybrid of restring zero on the cross and tour bite on the mains both at 54 and still too powerful. Help!!!! I like to do flat hitting but also top spin too. The racket is a 16x19, a 105 head size and a stiffness of roughly 68. Should I try a 1.30 diameter strings?

      Yes. A 1.30 would be great in a racket with that size and my suggestion would be to go for something round to tame that slightly eradic launch.

      .thank you so much. I do want to do a hybrid. So both of them have to be round? And would you put the cross strings a few pounds higher than the main to lower the launch angle as well or? And which strings do you recommend? I've been searching for so long I really need help thank you so much. I think you're right by the way because I demoed this racket and it had 1.30 (tour bite) and there definitely was more control than now. And the strings were really old and it was still keeping the ball inside the court. Right now I have 1.25 on both twin rackets. One has volkl cyclone full bed at 55 and the other has restring zero at the crosses at 54 and tour bite on the mains also at 54. Still both rackets a bit too powerful. What tension would you put the crosses and what tension would you put the mains??

    I’ve commented this before but I use the blade 98 16x19 with 4g 125 rough at 53. I switched from Alu power 130 rough at 56. The feel of Alu power was a little too muted for me where as I felt connected and lots of control and consistency with 4g. Any high/mid level younger players should at least give it a try in my opinion.

I had Solico Confidental on my Wilson 100 v8 at 25kg and I felt like I had to swing too hard with my one handed backhand.
