The guy at the end is Zelretch, he is mentioned in many other Fate media but we've only seen him animated very briefly in Heaven's Feel He is a Sorcerer who controls the Sorcery of manipulating parallel worlds, and an immortal who travels to whichever universes he wants. He helped the three families create the Fuyuki Holy Grail, which is where we saw him animated before, during that flashback Illya showed Shirou in Heaven's Feel. Shirou was able to replicate Zelretch's Jewel Sword by seeing it in the flashback, and then Rin used it to fight Sakura's shadows, by pulling mana from parallel worlds to match the mana Sakura got from the Grail. And that power was from just a copy of one of the items this guy has made throughout his life
The visuals from A-1 here are insane, its the feast for the eyes, probably most different and rich Type-Moon animation in adaptation since maybe some of FGO Camelot Movie 2. Really fun. "The animation is brought to life by A-1 Pictures, who also animated Fate/Apocrypha in 2017. Taking the directorial reins are Shun Enokido and Takahito Sakazume, who have produced animated trailers for the mobile game Fate/Grand Order and the novel version of Fate/strange Fake. With their contemporary touch, Enokido and Sakazume are sure to delight Fate fans with their dynamic and expressive animation." The duo absolutely nailed it visually. This is a great bonus to the F/SF LN's.
I am actually happy that they went on the similar approach to the anime style of Baccano and Durarara. I also love the touch, that they focus more on the characters' eye than their facial features.
The thing for the toy/replica managing to summon THIS jack the ripper is actually pretty simple : this is the version of jack the riper that is the "amalgamation of the rumors and legends of jack the ripper" as such he can be brought forth through any item referencing his legends, including a toy or replica. if anything the link would be stronger because as a public use item it is more connected to "the legend" than "the person". I guess the same would happen for Vlad who has a "historical" and "legendary version" (historical being vlad3 the impaler the real person, and legendary being dracula) you would get the OG vlad from an item he had a personal connection to, but if you use some more "public" item then you would get the legend/myth version which would be the vampire dracula (although you can force the normal one to turn into the legendary version for the case of dracula. On the other hand I guess you could turn THIS jack into apocrypha's jack as well because she would be included in "the legend of jack the ripper" as one of the different myths surrounding it)

You have to watch Babylonia: Demonic front my bwoii. You hav time before the season starts next year… In the ancient epic of Gilgamesh, Enkidu was made from clay by the Gods to chain Gilgamesh an unruly King. Thats why Gil said Enkidu can endlessly change his form (clayface basically) The battle in the square he speaks of is from legend when after sleeping with a divine harlot and taking her form partially ( basically a hermaphrodite) Enkidu and Gilgamesh fought for days on end. The fight was so intense Gil opened the gate of Babylon giving him unlimited access to his treasury which contains all noble phantasms, potions, wines, weapons, staffs, just the greatest of everything. At the end of their battle Gil and Enkidu became friends and Enkidu pledged himself as a weapon of Gils. So when you see Gil use the chains of heaven in any other Fate, like when he bound Hercules, thats him actually USING Enkidu as a weapon. Enkidu was never a hero but a divine being that was recalled by the Gods for refusing to kill Gil. Thats why buddy said the Chimera did something shocking and brought forth a divine spirit rather than a heroic one…
Ah yes Zelretch or as i know him mr kaleidoscope. I was just happy there was a cameo from my favorite emo girl Gray! So hyped for the main series but god knows how long the wait will be.
The spamming of weapons machinegun style was actually Enkidu's usual method of combat. He can make high quality weapons from the earth. Gil had to counter by doing the same with Gate of babylon during their very first encounter in life, so much that he actually used up his far fewer treasures at the time. And that lasted for days and nights until they decided to just duke it out in a brawl.
@@BocchiRock420 Yeah it's the reverse, it's Enkidu that was inspired by Gilgamesh use of his Gate of Babylon as a projectile spam. Also hilariously, Enkidu uses his weapon creation like a very precise scalpel and always chided Gilgamesh for using using the Gate like a crude weapon barrage.

It's pretty wild how many people were spoiling identities not revealed until a few volumes in. In a season that could be like something you'd see in 8+ weeks and they just drop it anyway
@@DracoSafarius You mean of Servants (besides Enkidu and Jack)? Its really not cool if so.
A1 pictures baby!
3:16 it's those small moments that remind you this tall seemingly intimidating teacher who likes to smoke is actually our little Waver from Fate/Zero 😅
The guy at the end is Zelretch, he is mentioned in many other Fate media but we've only seen him animated very briefly in Heaven's Feel
He is a Sorcerer who controls the Sorcery of manipulating parallel worlds, and an immortal who travels to whichever universes he wants. And that power was from just a copy of one of the items this guy has made throughout his life
He also created the magic wands in the Illya anime series and appeared there as well.
Creepy Guy that summoned Assassin is a dead apostle AKA a vampire.
They exist in the Nasuverse you focus more on them in Tsukihime.
With their contemporary touch, Enokido and Sakazume are sure to delight Fate fans with their dynamic and expressive animation."
The duo absolutely nailed it visually. This is a great bonus to the F/SF LN's.
I am actually happy that they went on the similar approach to the anime style of Baccano and Durarara. I also love the touch, that they focus more on the characters' eye than their facial features.
18:41 That girl gave the book that Gilles de Rais (Bluebeard) uses in Fate/Zero
The thing for the toy/replica managing to summon THIS jack the ripper is actually pretty simple :
this is the version of jack the riper that is the "amalgamation of the rumors and legends of jack the ripper" as such he can be brought forth through any item referencing his legends, including a toy or replica. if anything the link would be stronger because as a public use item it is more connected to "the legend" than "the person".
On the other hand I guess you could turn THIS jack into apocrypha's jack as well because she would be included in "the legend of jack the ripper" as one of the different myths surrounding it)
Wanted to correct myself once more about the Zelretch - he is the STUDENT of the King of Mages, King Solomon not the reverse (teacher) in Nasuverse lol. King Solomon is the teacher of few talented mages from his era, yeah.
Idk why written teacher for Zel, maybe i was mixing things up when thinking about Solomon and how Zel is pretty much a teacher to a new generation of modern mages as well.
Welcome to the Best of all Peak Fate series
That old man in the end is the Kaleidoscope ojisan, also (S)ayaka master of saber both series is also the protag in Fate/Prototype (anymore info would be a spoiler)
All Servants and Most of the masters here are all OP Broken asf specially when the Dead Apostle also joins the war
If you don't know Enkidu, he appears on Fate/Grand Order: Babylonia
All done with the prologue, now you gotta wait at least a year for the first chapter.
And yes it was just a toy Flat had, but he's just that kind of magic user. Kid does what he does.
The wait is going to be so hard. Yeah, I went back and viewed that scene. A toy replica from a giveaway. Lol.
12:48 If only hed know the story of Apocryphas Jack, then hed probably understood how Jacks legend works.
Enjoyed you're blind reaction comments, it was fun and on point! Hope TV Series script don't rush things in adaptation this much so the wow effect of some story reveals would be even more exciting.
Gil adapted that type of fighting from enkidu right?
@@BocchiRock420 Yeah it's the reverse, it's Enkidu that was inspired by Gilgamesh use of his Gate of Babylon as a projectile spam. Also hilariously, Enkidu uses his weapon creation like a very precise scalpel and always chided Gilgamesh for using using the Gate like a crude weapon barrage.
I love Fate, this OVA is toooo Good
"Not ufotable levels"
Nah, it's so much better
Naaaah.
I assume you have watched fate/zero, okay so when iskandar was fighting gil, he(rider) asked gilgamesh to be his friend but gil says he has only one friend and its enkidu right here
You should try giving The Case Files of Ell Melloy a watch, you get to know a few characters that were present here.
It's like Waver is the Sherlock Holmes of the current era ^_^
Case Files is a great way to get to know the fun Clocktower characters.
Enkidu, clae bae, and the only being gilgamesh recognises as his equal
OP!
23:47 yea it's not on the same level as ufotable but it's on a better level🔥🔥
I've been nuking comments on this one like crazy, so I'll just give a warning for people to read.
IF A CHARACTER HASN'T BEEN EXPLICITLY NAMEDROPPED IN THIS OVA, HOLD THE SPOILERS. THIS IS A REACTION CHANNEL AND NOBODY GIVES A DAMN HOW MUCH FATE MEDIA YOU'VE CONSUMED.
It's the oldest story in the world
The Epic of Gilgamesh
Enkidu was Gilgamesh's one and only friend
The chains of the heavens
I think every human should at least know of it
The oldest story is a story of bromance 🤣🤣
And you're guaranteed to hate Ishtar
By the way, Fate version Enkidu is not “she”.
Fate Enkidu is genderless clay doll made by gods.
But in the Epic of Gilgamesh, this version of Enkidu is, without a doubt, “he”.
A very hairy "he".
(I prefer the pretty androgynous version imo) 😂
Peak fate!!! A1 Pictures did such a great job especially with this art style as i prefer this over Ufotable.
This art style reminiscent of Baccano and Durarara's animation which fit the author's work.
how do so many reaction channels not know who Enkidu is?? the lack of knowledge is concerning
Cuz they just jump on this because its popular bot because they love history/myths or the show
So many people involved lol
For real. I'm going to try my best to keep up. Lol
There is harcules alter acidies who has 14 to 15 pantasam
2:29 Servants can't rebel against their own Master when the command seal is still linked to the Master's Body, this will considered Gil's instant lost
That's typically how it goes, yeah, but it's pretty clear this Holy Grail War is different than the 'real' ones.
@@MangaZones i don't think it gives Gil the permission to rebel against a Master, technically i think the command seal still affect him
Spoiler:
Fuyuki HGW aren't even the real HGW 💀
@@Yukidayou I'm not saying you're wrong. I'm just stating why I thought that was the case at first. The context is that this time around the war has differences, so I went with that context until it was shown the girl cut the dudes hand off.
@@MangaZones i see
Besides all mighty 'immortal' Sorcerer of the Second True Magic of Kaleidoscope of Parallel Worlds and Wizard Grand Marshal, one of the founders of Magic Association, the student of King Solomon (yes he is that old, and yes THAT Solomon) - Kischur Zelretch Schweinorg - in the end scene we also have an ex-member of the Holy Church and ingénues mage of Labyrinths on conceptual level, creator of one of the Holy Scripture Apocryphas - Cubac Alcatrazz. They are one of these insanely powerful mage circles who are friends with each other, throwing tea parties and discussing state of the Worlds (magecraft with magic included) as you see how Zel talks (and Narita tease) about one of OG final Type-Moon \ Nasuverse final bosses, one of the 'Types', the 'world ending "Spider" - the ORT' that sleeping in America's underground.
Curiously In the Tsukihime Universe (which a different Type of Universe in comparison Fate, apart of F/SF unique Type of World setting which has all Nasuverse worlds elements mixed in) both are Dead Apostle Ancestors (became so in different ways) aka high rank vampires and witnessed the birth of Elemental which is close to be an Archetype of planet Earth (the Brain of the planet Earth), the Princess of True Ancestors and the main heroine from Tsukihime - Arcueid Brunestud from that Universe.
The scene is interesting even if you don't know all that original material and Nasuverse lore since it set ups so many things to come in the F/SF story that will be reveled later, and great if you return with all that info back to revisit the F/SF media.
@@алексейпугачев-л9й Oh right, weird that i mixed it in reverse (probably know why tho), i fixed it, thank you!
If anyone is confused as to what the little girl's servant is its a Rider.
THE PALE RIDER
But not the biblical one. It is just the pure consept of death and disease so it took on the name of one of The Four Horsmen.
anriku. youll know more about gilgamesh and enkidu if u watch fate grand order 😊
watch FGO babylonia for more Enkidu Gilgamesh backstory :)
I just might. 😉
27:26 She looks similar to mc from fate prototype...🤔
indeed......
Hmm yeeah...👀
27:42 The hint lies in the Mystery Gothic lolita speech in the Police precinct scene that's all i can say for now.
I reccomend checking enkidu and gil reference for tghe futur
This has a lot of call backs to some of the previous series, like Fate Babylonia where Gilgamesh in his younger and more benevolent form is present, while Enkidu is a best friend and foil to Gil
Another is the character of Flat which is a minor character in Waver's solo series (Grey is here too)
Now for the best throwback of all the appearance of the female MC with a male saber class is a call back to fate prototype. Where even before the original fate series they are suppose to be the original character until they were swap with shiro and female saber
The Gilgamesh in Babylonia is actually older. That Gilgamesh was the real one and not a servant, but the events of Babylonia take place after Enkidu died and Gil left Uruk on his journey for immortality.
2:43 pun intended?
100%
So you have not watch Babylonia since you don't know enkidu
Right. I was told I couldn't watch that one without finishing Zero and the movies, but maybe I am misremembering.
@Anriku_Reacts Babylonia doesn't really have any connection to zero or the movies since it's apart of fate grand order. It's perfectly fine to watch it as long as you know know Gil and watch the grand order ova to atleast know what it is.
@@MangaZones You can definitely watch it without finishing Zero, but I think people recommend that due to Gilgamesh since you get more character to him. Really the only required (loose required) thing would be First Order which introduces the start of F/GO
@@MangaZones you can watch any without watching others you dont get any important information from any of them thats a must for the other, its just small easter eggs
@@MangaZonesthey're right. As long as you watch FGO First order and perhaps the FGO Camelot movies, you can watch Babylonia. You could probably even get away with skipping the Camelot movies if you wanted to. While they chronologically take place right before Babylonia, the animated FGO works already skip the first five singularities since they add almost nothing to the story.
Not this man not knowing who enkidu is when he’s been prominent in anything fate and Gilgamesh for decades 😭😭😭
I've only watched Studio Deen's Fate, first 5 episodes of Fate/Zero, UBW, and the first season of Illya which I pretty much don't remember anything about, so I wouldn't even count Illya. LMAO! So, yeah, I don't know who Enkidu is. XD Oh, and Apocrypha.
Don't worry. I'll learn one day. ;)
@@MangaZonesbro, we gotta revisit Fate/Zero for you. That and Lord El Melloi case files will really add to the Fate experience for you going into Strange Fake.
you need to watch the other fate series, you skipped out on the fate/grand order so you don't know anything about gil and enki's pass.
bro called enkidu a her guess you didn't watch fgo
Enkidu isn't a female, it lacks a gender
Enkidu is no gender
