- In this video, I show you how to enter diagnostics on the WED5620HW machine, which is a very common, modern, Whirlpool washing machine. The features are kind of limited, but viewers that have seen the equivalent washing machine video may need to use these codes in the future.

Ben, I trust your opinion and have bought most appliances recently on your videos. I've been happy with the results. I haven't been able to find anything from you on freezers. I'm in the market for an upright freezer. I know chest freezers are better for cooling but I have space constraints. I'd love if you could give me a quick response on what upright freezer is best but I know you are a busy guy. Anyway, I'd guess a freezer vid would be a hit vid for you to do... just saying. Our dryer is now over 45 years old. Clockworks last. The new crap barely lasts five years, then you've got 80 pounds of scrap metal.
I have this exact dryer and cannot get the control panel to respond. I’m assuming the control board went out since we’ve tried all of this along with making sure the breaker isn’t tripped and have left it unplugged for 24 hours then plugged back in. We had a repair guy come and he said the motor is bad and it could be the control board. The past few weeks of using it the control panel was giving us issues with not responding to certain buttons and then the control lock would randomly go on. We would unplug for 5-10 minutes then it would work again. It’s only 4 years old. He wants to order the motor first to see if that works then if it doesn’t then the control board. We’re Leary of putting that much money in it.

When I open the door after drS stage the unit turns off? 🤨 is this where my problem is?
I looked up this video because my dryer only runs for 5 ish mins then stops and reads “end” 🤔
What to do when the power button won't turn anything off and over where the white panel is there's a lock emblem and it keeps flashing 0.15 like it's getting ready for a quick wash so I press the extra rinse button which is supposed to unlock it and it doesn't unlock it, I also unplugged it overnight and plugged it back in and it's doing the same thing
what if you can't get into diag mode ? I have green led flashing on control board at 1 sec interval - does that mean console is bad ? when I first plug dryer in - green led is flashing fast - it then starts flashing at 1 second interval.

what dose Error Code F3E4 mean？
I have this unit and the display is not turning on when you press the power, the buttons are not responding and the control lock button works and I’m able to hear a beeping but doesn’t show anything on the screen. The unit is not responding

@@LindseyBlanchard-c4swarranty place change the thermal fuse,front switch and computer board.i think they were just taking a shot.
Get a regular, old dryer and washer. Error codes…. I’ll put up a clothesline before I look up error codes for a f*king dryer.
I want a temp control SWITCH, and a Dial for the type of wash...THATS ALL..DONT NEED A FRICKING COMPUTER.
Ok here’s a q for you - what if my dryer is kind of working and running, but the display won’t light up anymore? 😅
Thats either a bad connection @ the wire harness, or the LEDs are going out and would need replaced. I'd check all connectors for looseness and/or oxidation
@bensappliancesandjunk I have a similar issue. Only mine turns on once I power cycle it with noise only. Nothing on the instrument panel lights up, but if I select a dry mode and hit start, it will run intermittently before shutting itself off. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
I had two Whirlpool gas driers, and both caught on fire. They are making nothing but JUNK. Our LG gas drier is almost 14 years old, and has never given us any trouble. BTW, the Fire Department blamed the driers for poor design and told us it wasn't anything we did wrong. We have always had a professional clean the vent once a year.
More then likely you had a lot of lint build up inside the drier and that's what caught on fire 🔥. Cleaning the vents is one of two cleanings driers need services on.
