One of the best and most insightful kill team bat rep channels. Every time I watch I learn things about the teams. And as always beautifully made🙏🏽 thank you guys!
I’m really happy with the Phobos buff - there’s a couple of guys who play them in our local group and on the weekend they both managed to get draws, when previously they’ve only ever lost.
Another great video! Few more and I seen all :D Everyone say elite team counter Phobos so it will be great if you try after buff Phobos vs Legionairs next time :)
Modifications to APL plus or minus one last until the next time that operative is activated. So if you finish your activation on a mine and get stunned, that model should get minus 1 APL the next time it activates. That's why the mine is good
While you are correct on the general rules for APL modification, the minelayers mine works differently. The FAQ'd rule says "Subtract 1 from the remaining action points the target has for this activation (if any)", so because the apprentek was out of APL, that part had no effect.
@@2CasualYT Technically, the attack would have been outside of the apprentek's activation seeing how it was out of APL. At that point, it's activation ends. So it would have subtracted from the APL
An operatives activation does not immediately end when there are no remaining apl, as things like ploys or free actions can still be done. Also, the mine interrupts the operatives' move action, so if I did not retain a crit, the apprentek would have been able to finish its movement action.
Actually, you explicitly can. unlike shooting, both players are supposed to roll their dice at the same time in combat. Generally the attacker just rolls first out of courtesy, but mechanically this means that because your rolling at the same time you get to determine if you want to use re-rolls after you've seen your opponents roll. You opponent can also use CP reroll in response to you using it as well.
I played against a Phobos player last weekend who’d used them as his main faction since Moroch came out, and it was a slog of a game; so many free mission actions and so many switches back to Conceal.
So firstly great vid! I'm looking to get into kill team. What's the board and terrain from? Looks awesome! I'm gonna binge watch as many of your vids as possible now haha. Any pointers for someone looking to get into kill team, sets/ rules to get?
That terrain set is the into the dark terrain. Buying the into the dark set also gives you 2 kill teams (navy breachers / Kroot), a rulebook, and special missions for playing in that terrain, so picking it up will give you anything. Also, I cant recommend wahapedia for all rules enough. It's organized extremely well, updated frequently, and has everything available for free. It's technically piracy, but basically everyone I know into 40k / killteam uses it. GL on gaming :>
Ditto to what Riley said, its a great box to buy. The kill team starter set is also a great box, that has orks and veteran guardsmen. both boxes are awesome to split with a friend too. The intersession squad is also one of the best teams to play when getting started with free rules, you only need to get 6 space marines: www.warhammer-community.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/Bq0onwVbVTnpoA5k.pdf If you have a local game store highly recommend asking if there are kill team players, there are KT Facebook pages that can also help you find players in your local area. good luck, let us know how it goes! We'll be really excited to hear when you get your first game in.
Nope! Specifies first enemy. Real nice for area deniel, especially vs melee operatives wahapedia.ru/kill-team2/kill-teams/phobos-strike-team/#Incursor-Minelayer
Well, the problems the necrons always had, still linger, if dice or abilities from the enemy dont let them kill, they are screwed, like that time i shot one 9 wounds, 5+ defense model with 4 shots from immortals and the lider once, to kill it, he wasnt in cover, but it was a leader and i had the tac op of killing the leader, i lost right there. Well that and melee specialists.

Stranger choice of Specialists on the phobos side, but still as always thnx for great video anyway
Soooo cool to have a battle rep so quickly thaaaanks !
(PS : I think during a combat you can't reroll your attack dices after the défender rolled his)

would like to see phobos against custodes. Very interesting format, considering the "recap" part. thanks :)

Yay! Phobos!
So the haywire mine doesn't blow friendly operatives when activated?
