Small tip, on the second turning point, necrons did not use any strategic ploys, but used at least two CP for command reroll for shooting attacks done within 6 inches. Necrons have a strategic ploy to reroll one die on all shooting attacks within 6 inches. This would have saved at least one command point. This is why command reroll is super inefficient, and if you have a strategic ploy that gives rerolls, or automatic successes, or anything of the sort, you should use those a lot, because even if the effect only happens once, it is at least as good as command reroll. (Also, one of those necron attacks was with the despotek, who can demand himself to give a free command reroll anyways)
Hot, unfortunate rules tip! The Hand of the Archon feel no pain doesn't actually work against mortal wounds, only against damage from attack dice. I think it's the only one in the game that works that way 🙃
Rule says "Each time this operative would lose a wound as a result of an Attack Die that inflicts damage." Would that not include mortal wounds, as the mortal wounds are a result of that attack die? I play HotA a lot and I feel this rule could use an faq. My club always plays with it including MWs.
@@tygerbomb while I do agree it should be changed to that way, it's not.. Mortal wounds are not from a damage die dealing damage. Rather They are a trigger that happens when you retain a crit. Definitely a little confusing in the wording. But it definitely works that way. Most other teams do work on mortal wounds though, like gellerpox. You can see the difference if you compare how they are written
I gotta say being new to this game makes watching these two just fling around rules and stuff very confusing. They also don't face the models towards their targets which adds to the confusion.
I like the report, it's always great to see some necrons. I'm wondering though: gunner with shredder on 24:20 did a Fight action. So 3rd APL came from spending one of the 2 pain tokens (from killing Despotek) on Dark Animus, I'm assuming? P.S.: drukhari' dice were sooo hot.
Archon needs to have the pain token at the start of the activation in order to generate the extra apl. Then I got 2 more pain tokens after killing A model with more than 11 wounds Here is the ability: wahapedia.ru/kill-team2/kill-teams/hand-of-the-archon/#Ability
It was on the shredder. 2 activations later I totally remembered the omen and realized I could have saved some pain tokens/CP. Definitely would have been helpful later :p Would have been a bit of rewind though.
@@2CasualYT I really wish they'd release print+play cards and tokens for all the current teams, it's way easier to remember things when you have a hand of cards to play per phase. I wound up making my own, but it's crazy how HotA has extra stuff that comes into play at Select Equipment, Select Kill Team, etc. etc. At the same time, game aids wind up taking up so much precious tablespace. What a hard game!
Thanks for keeping close eye out. On the contrary though, Command uses overwatch to shoot, which can absolutely be used after moving even with heavy. A strong move in itd for heavy guns is to move dash and guard action. It allows high movement and get a shot off with your normally slow guns
@@2CasualYT Holy cow. My local group has been saying that is not a thing you can do. I will make sure to spread the good word then and will admit to being wrong in this one. Thanks for the update.

You guys rock, thanks for the video. I'd like to see a narrative campaign with the whole gang picking a kill team each.
Do love me some narrative. -riggon.
It's definitely on our radar, but we haven't recorded on yet

Pathfinder Shield Drone works the same way
Shucks your right, good catch!
Strange they made it work differently

enjoy the panning shots to convey deployment. must note though that plasmacytes only have 2 defense dice
Yes first again :D Thanks for report. Now I go enjoy it :)
Keep up the reports guys! I enjoy these a lot

looks so good what cam is that for the upper shot?! amazing!!!
For the top cam we use Sony zv-e10 with a E 3.5/30 macro lens - Pond
Another excellent report! Hierotek are a rubbish match up for all my Aeldari teams.

@@2CasualYT , yep, as I thought. Thanks.
Was there a target for the Skysplinter Assassin's [Omen] ability? If not, I enjoy having it on the Shredder quite a bit.

I played few games with Hierotek Circle and even after latest buffs I still dont enjoy their playstyle. Ányway great report!
awesome game!
You consider to change the scenario a little more? You basically only player beta decima for the past vídeos
Yes. Coming soon ;)
Woah woah now. Even with the command ability that Deathmark should not have been able to shoot as he moved this turn and the weapon is heavy.
