You had to have a big ego, if youvwant to make it, in rock and roll, during those times, Richard, had the biggest baddest, coolest, EGO ever! Go ! Richard!
I think Little Richard is the greatest of all time when it comes to Rock n' Roll along with Chuck Berry. You can't deny their music as the beginning of Rock n' Roll.
Sorry, not the beginning at all. Proto r'n'r dates back to 1928 at least, and then r'n'r came in the mid 40s, but actually a single r'n'r song has already been published in 1938 (and no, I'm not talking about Rock me). Chuck Berry COPIED the guitar style of 2 other guitarists (one from the 30s and the other from the 40s), made an intro STRONGLY inspired from a record, took the lyrics from other songs, chosed a piano part inspired by another tune, and fused them into Johnny B. Goode. It takes time to track all the influences but then it's clear. Elvis Presley mimicked Roy Brown and Jackie Wilson, and you may like to read what Leiber & Stoller thought when they heard his cover of Hound dog. Etc etc...
@@norai.5826 😂😂😂 Musicians/composers are always stealing from their predecessors. Almost everyone stole from Bach, then stole from Haydn, then stole from Mozart, then Beethoven, etc. And each of them stole from the composers that preceded them. The thing here though, is that when you combine all those elements together, you are creating something new. Many musical compositions are somewhat like Frankenstein’s monster, they are like a new creature assembled from various parts of old ones.
notice how JB, developed that ye'll or scream like Lil Richard, also Billy Preston did it too, Big O Otis Redding also had a lil richard yell, I remember when all these all time greats were small potatoes, when Lil Richard was the biggest
Little Richard once called Fats Domino, the true King of rock and roll. Then claimed himself the Queen of rock and roll. Whatever Richard was, he was one of the very first, and very best, if not THE best.🔥💙🔥☝ He recorded Long Tall Sally, Ready Teddy, and more, right down the street from my childhood home. Cosimo Matassa had a vision.
Lol larger than life! But now u see how James Brown n Mick Jagger developed their swag McCartney found his high scream octive n lill Billy Preston who must have been really young prodigy heard what wd be later crafted into his sound n well Jimi I dont kno what he got from Richard maybe finally his first left handed guitar. U can see how richard really did have an influence on each one of them.
Lemmy would agree to this, and that's all the confirmation you'd need to know, if any. And in such case Lemmy himself would make fun of you from needing confirmation beyond your own hearing.
If Jimi Hendrix and James Brown are in your band then it’s game over, you are the King!
Facts 💯
What about The Beatles and The Stones?
@@MsAppassionata Did they play in Little Richard’s band?? They toured with him but weren’t in his band
I’d love to hear a recording of all of them together god damn
That’s what homie said. And I’ll agree. With a name of little Richard to boot. 😂 you gotta be bad to make that shit work lol
True king of rock and roll
Give lil Richard his credit my dad told me how much lil Richard was powerful in the music business 🎉
You got that right. King Richard!
It's simple, there's no king.
And (if we really have to force things to select just one inventor) the 1st r'n'r song was made by a woman.
@@norai.5826a so called black American woman named???

When jimmy page said, "A good artist borrows, but a great artist steals", he was "borrowing"a quote from Pablo Piccaso. Go figure.
When he said “bottom” 😮🤭 he was so progressive in those times… and said it on national television.
No shit! I didn't even know that term existed back then. Lol 😄
Tutti frutti, "aw rudy", was the original lyric. He was taunting A childhood bully. He was " full of the devil", in the best way possible. 🔥💙🔥
His stories are just as entertaining as his music, hehe nice😊
Reverend Penniman was my uncle…he died…This man was an original.
I know you must have been proud of your family.

One is an original, and the other is a watered down imitation styled by a team of people to attempt this kind of grandiose larger than life presence.
Wow
That little leather crown is for a reason...
Hidden Facts
Little Richard & Jimi Hendrix. Yes Jimi played with LR back in the day. But they never met again after that. Richard is telling a good story here
he worked with separately, not as one huge supergroup
HE DIDN'T SAY THEY WAS WITH HIM AT THE SAME TIME.ALL THOSE LEGENDS WERE UNDER HIM AT ONE TIME
