I recently listened to an audiobook on UA-cam called Freakuencies by Gregory Patrick Travers about 5G towers wreaking havoc on a small town. It reminded me of Stephen King and now I'm here being nostalgic
Springheel Jack - this story blew me away when I first read it in one of the short story collections - Night Shift? Skeleton Crew? 🤔 Many years ago, but those stories hold up even today 😘👍 constant Reader turned Constant Listener 🥰👍👍
My favorite short stories by Stephen King (or any scary short story) are the ones where it isn't until the very end that we get that sudden twist that makes the short story a truly _scary_ short story, such as _Strawberry Spring._ Another great SK short story is _The Jaunt_ which is probably my favorite of all time.
You’ve gotten over 16 K listens ! Why not do more ?! 😀✌️ Ignore those that criticized you - Just jealous they are ! Look at all those who chose to listen to you read this ! No one making them do that !
I feel really bad for the protagonist. Yes, he killed people, but he clearly seems distraught over how he’s seemingly a murderer but can’t prove it because he doesn’t even understand how he’s the cause. It doesn’t help that he has a family who will surely distrust him once they find out.
Totally found this by accident, You have a voice for narration, I actually nod for a well know UA-cam narrator so I kind of know something about that. BUT, if your going to take the time to narrate something, do it right, you had a million noises in the background, people who listen to you, dont want to here that, I dont mean to be so crucial, but if your going to put it up for people to listen to you have to expect some criticism
Beautifully read. One of my favorite SK short stories. Thank you so much for this.
This one was my favorite short story.
Strawberry spring forever !!!
Yep i get it . 🍓🍓🍓🍓🍓🍓🍓🍓 Beatles picture yourself on a boat on the water. 🍓🍓🍓🍓

An excellent story! John Glover gave a memorable reading, many years ago.
Nicely done, Abigail. Thanks.
Loved it and thanks for narrating it for us ❤️ subbed you and waiting for more 🥰
Short and sweet.
Arranged him? I think you meant arraigned him. As in the arraignment of a prisoner.

Frankly, for a 16vor 18yr old, not bad at all!

This is a story that is told by a man, and although this reader is good, it is more convincing - and chilling - if read in a male voice.
she reads in a monotonous way with a drowning voice, not breakin' up in sense groups, amateurishly
Boo on the reading👎 Love the story.
me 2
@@abigailschichner5931 don't listen to them
poor reading - too many background noises and no appropriate intonation. You sound utterly bored with the monotone throughout
I did this for extra credit in high school . thanks for the critique tho
Yawn😒😔😔
That creaky voice thing is really annoying. I always think people who speak like this must think they sound really good. They don't.
hahah
