- After 3 years away, we're heading back to America for reunions with friends and family. This year traveling comes with a lot of extra restrictions, but the extra challenges don't take away from the joy of being together with loved ones again. It's time for another heart-warming episode of Life in Japan - in America!

おじいちゃん達が迎えに来てハグしてた瞬間、ウルってきました🥺ずっと会いたかっただろうなー。子供達も楽しそうで何より！日本語も英語も完璧な子供達の将来が楽しみだなあー！みんな日本で自然と努力していて、そして楽しむ力があってスバラシイ！
やっぱりアメリカって大きいなぁ。 ハワイにしか行ったことがないのでアメリカのこういう景色が見れるのは新鮮で楽しいです。
私はハワイとバンクーバーにしか行ったことが無いから、凄く面白かった！
やっぱりアメリカ大陸のロングドライブ旅行はいいですね！

どちらかと言うと、スイスが（広さや大きさ抜きとして）似ているかなあ。

私が中学生の頃にシカゴに引っ越した時のことを思い出しました。ひどい時差ぼけ、食べたことの無いバーガー、見たことのない大きさのスーパーとコーラのボトル… 旅行はいつの時代でも楽しいですね！
This reminds me when I moved to Chicago from Japan. Bad jetlag, Wendies burger, super huge Super stores, and bottle of Coke. Wish we could travel to everywhere soon!

I’ve been to only Hawaii in US. But I’ve never ever been to mainland. I hope to visit there and experience a lot someday. It looks like there are a lot of fun things in US that Japan doesn't have.

時差は東へ向かう時のほうがつらいのかしら？自分は欧州に行って日本に帰ってくるといつもグッタリしてしまいます。今日、ヤンキースとホワイトソックスの試合でfield of dreamsのようなとうもろこし畑の中にある野球場でやっていたので、とうもろこし畑というのがアメリカの原風景としてあるのだなと、わーアメリカだなあと感動しました。
今回の時差ぼけは難しかったです。 フィールドオブドリームスが撮影された球場は、イリノイからそれほど遠くありません！

Dragonfly is such a cute name for the toy dragon! The species is called a Lightfury! Toothless the black dragon in the movie is a Nightfury!
I know it was complicated to get the gang to the U.S., but I am sure it was worth it. I'll bet everyone was shocked at how much the children have grown. Looks like it was a blast!

Illinois to Tennessee to Orlando(?) to Virginia? That’s an epic family trip. :D For most people who haven’t lived in the middle of the us have no clue what is like driving 10+ hours per day with little changes in sceneries.
The scenery in the U.S. is really cool because you have a little bit of everything: farmland, forest, mountains, plains, deserts, cities, tropics, etc! It's so cool.

I plan on visiting America one day as I have some family there (in Michigan) that I haven't seen since 15ish years ago (when I was 4). Japan would be very cool to see too. I might be visiting the Philipines in a few years as I have some family from there, and some flights have a layover in Japan (plus other countries in Asia). I'll have to find some resources for learning Japanese that teach via English.
Looking forward to your next vlog in America. I bet you all are having a lot of fun and exploring new things during your trip!

The big airport seems O'Hare where I've been once. I'm impressed to see your kids recovered from jet lag so quickly. Kids are said to get themselves in shape nearly a month because they don't force themselves to adjust to the site time. Anyway, it's important to get used to homeland atmosphere that they'd return some day in future, isn't it?
It was Dallas - and the kids adjusted quite fast this time. It takes about a week to get over the worst of it.
@@LIJ Oh, I see. I've been to Dallas-Fort Worth twice, though. AA was monopolizing one terminal. There wasn't tram service at that time and we had to move from a terminal to other terminals by bus.

They really like both, and both are so different and have their own advantages that you can't really compare them. They're just so different and unique in their own rights.
