"Quitting Day," also commonly called "Quitter's Day," refers to the second Friday of January, which is considered the day when many people tend to give up on their New Year's resolutions due to waning motivation after the initial excitement of the new year fades away; essentially, it marks the point where a large number of people abandon their goals. 👏Do. Not. Give. Up!
i will not quit!!! LOL.. I tracked everything up til a day or two ago...categorize it and making a limit for each.. i only spent 65 this month on groceriess, so im allowing myself for JAn 100$$ food out was 250... Jan will be 50... TY so very much for your help!!!

I've been debt free for years now. But I have gotten lazy--not tracking my spending, no focused goal, etc. I was shocked to see how much I was spending on eating out and my hobbies. Looking forward to improving the situation this year. Thanks for your helpful pointers!
At 54….I’m coming very late in the game, but I want to start and fund a Roth IRA in 2025. I just started cash budgeting last January and haven’t done too much for retirement. With my debt paid off, I want this to be my focus moving forward….better late than not at all. 🤷🏼♀️🤩
I spent all weekend putting my budget together. I have 54 debts and there isn't a single tracker out there that has that much room on it. I had to get creative with a digital budget sheet. I set it all up on a snowball debt payoff routine. I felt physically sick looking at all the debt I have. It's over $54k. It's a combination of credit cards, personal loans, Affirm debt, and student loans. I've been fixating on my spreadsheet for 2 days now. This year has been very traumatic for me as I've been recovering from 2 bariatric surgeries. I've lost 125lbs in the past 9 months. Now 2025 will be all about losing debt. I was an emotional eater as well as an emotional spender. I've tackled one - I'm sure I can tackle the other. It's just going to take time. I do have an emergency fund already set up so that was checked off my list first. Now this debt......sigh.
You have this!! You have a plan, you have the motivation, you have our encouragement, and you know you have the persistence! Keep us updated on how things are progressing; we will all cheer you on and celebrate when you get clear of the debt.
@@celestebarrentine3922 Thank you so much for the encouragement! I'm going to need it. Yesterday was the first no spending day and I actually got into Michaels and Hobby Lobby and didn't spend a single penny of my own money. Day one --- 364 more days to go. :)
I've identified my 5 culprit spending places for my credit cards. I'm doing a no spending on craft supplies and unnecessary items next year. I'm crafting my way through my craft room and selling the items I make. I've experimented with crafting and selling in the month of Dec and was able so far to make an extra $460. That's probably more than I'd make on a part-time job. I've created a budget that looks promising. We shall see. I'm excited for 2025 debt payoff starter journey.
You can do it, I understand about spending a lot on craft supplies. I used to do that as well but I have gotten so much better and I no longer spend money on so many things. I’ve actually made some money selling supplies I haven’t used in a long time.
So glad I found your channel!!! We have a written zero-based budget, in a dedicated binder with a sheet that tracks each budget item (mortgage, dental, water, garbage, groceries, auto insurance, etc...). I balance our budget against our checkbook and bank statement twice a month (pay days). We just paid off our car (we have 2 cars fully paid off) and only have our mortgage left. I pay off the credit card every month but my goal is to STOP AMAZON PURCHASES for at least 30 days, then I can go from there!!! I have a terrible habit of Amazon orders. We are a one income family and I am home with our children. Looking forward to no spend January and then a low spend for the remainder of the year. We use a lot of hand-me-downs and thrift finds for clothing and home goods. Looking forward to watching you this month for encouragement! Happy New Year!
Girl. They are coming! 😂 I am currently working on growing the channel - this is the time of year when new people are searching for info on how to save. 🤩💛🐝
I'm enjoying these videos. Lots of people do cash stuffing, but they don't show you how they got yo the point of having so much cash to stuff. I want the debt payoff breakdown.
Have you been listening in? 😂I am so glad that you commented this - my sister and I have been talking about this for probably the last couple months. I think it’s a very important point - with anything that we do. Perfection can stifle the growth. 💛🐝
Brilliant! I got all answers to proceed with my budget. I often stumble with months that I end up having more money than expected. I am really good at explaining to myself why something is essential to buy even though it isn't. My three categories are: groceries, my pet and gasoline.
Life happened and ate through my emergency fund so back to building it back up. I have been doing a budget for 2 years and I sat down yesterday and wrote out a debt repayment plan. If I can put more towards debt I will but I got a plan ironed out.
Good morning Jenn. I don’t have a planned out budget, I used to when I was younger but I stopped when all my children were grown. I keep thinking about starting a physical budget but haven’t started yet. Thank you for the information.
Do it!! I am 65 and just started 2 years ago. It has been life-changing. I had no idea how much money I was just frittering away. Now I have permission to spend, and to save.
I am on baby step 2, with a goal of paying off all of my consumer debt in 2025. I was using an app for budgeting in 2024, but I am trying the cash envelope method in 2025.
I need a clear zippered pocket envelope binder for stuffing like your black one. It has to hold my loonies and toonies to work properly. What size and where do you get them on Amazon?
I have been learning so much(I used the cash method before but wasn’t motivated) you have shed a new light for me. Thank you! Ps. What do you do for your hands. What kind of lotion? Do you wear gloves for everything? Just really curious! 😊
Half way to much 1K. Budgeting and cash stuffing helping sooo much. Thank you. Goal for 2025. Get that 1K . Keep paying that credit card down. And I'm being good not using it.
I've been trying to do this budgeting thing for few years now but always fell,so come this new year i want to find a budget that works for,c.c. debt free, not living paycheck to paycheck. I will be turning 50 next yr in june and have nothing saved

It’s never ever too late. You can do this! I’m proud of you for setting this goal.
You got this. You have a plan
Think of it like eating an elephant , 1 bite at a time
Don’t feel bad. You’re here and making changes! Also, you are not alone; I didn’t start this journey until 53. ❤️
It’s never too late, keep working towards your goals.

Age 62. I am surprised at how much money i have saved. I do a mix of cash and digital.

I just did 118.90 return to Temu. 120.00 to my favorite shopping store Boscov’s! Stuff I didn’t need. I already had. Did some cleaning! & it paid off!
Oh yay!!!!! 🎉
This made my morning!!! I’m drinking my COFFEE and I see your comment and I want to jump up and down!! At 7 AM!! 😂😂😂😂

I budget on excel and update regularly! I’m doing your spending tracker with my husband this January to see where we can cut more expenses.
We have our emergency fund fully funded & we are currently working on step 2, trying to pay out all our debt, but it has been tough
I have been using only cash ,the cash envelope method, love it, great video!
Thank you and yes, it’s a game changer! 👏
Budget is written and I am ready to knock down my next debt (two left) on this list.
