    Great video! I’m about to paint my entire vintage caravan. I’d love to know exactly what kind of paint to buy for this.. also do I prime it, then sand it, then paint it?

      Thanks for the comment Do you need to primer before you paint, that depends on the condition of the current paint if it's just a bit faded and not cracked or peeling you may be able to get away with just sealing it and then painting. I will leave a link to a video you should watch about prep before painting. As far as what paint to use nason xl good coverage reasonably priced. Then clearcoat which you could also use nason . I have many videos on painting basecoat/clearcoat.

    What would you use to cover a puncture dent in a aluminum rv looks as if someone drilled into the side with a dull drill bit...

      It's hard to tell without seeing it. Depends how large. Some have used silicon on small holes. They also make some tape for that purpose otherwise you have to replace panel.

    I am giving a 1994 bounder a face lift and I was wanting to know what type of primer did you use? Thank you

      @GarageNoise  3 роки тому

      I don't know specifically what brand it was but you want to use a 2k urethane primer. You local automotive paint supplier will carry it or Amazon there should be a link in the description of this video. Thanks for watching!

    What about removing wax before you sand? How dire is that? Also what’s the brand of wax remover you use? 3m?

    • @GarageNoise
      @GarageNoise  3 роки тому

    • @GarageNoise
      @GarageNoise  3 роки тому +1

      Roughly 600.00 It would vary, I would try smaller body shops and shop around.

    this rv is painted? How do you know if it is paint or gelcoat?

    • @GarageNoise
      @GarageNoise  2 роки тому +1

      It really doesn't make a difference you can use automotive paint and clear over gel coat. Gell coat is much harder to work with. I believe most rvs are painted. Most boats use gel coat
