Ask a prosperity preacher if he/she has ever read the rich man and Lazarus in Luke 16:19-31.

Satan favourite test to make us curse God and fail us. May be that was his motivation for fooling Adam and Eve. We are now stuck with the Satan because of our weaknesses. He has an evil plan for us - i would think. Show we are heaven-worthy and serve God by helping each other rather than trying to enrich ourselves. Otherwise we will fail miserably to the joy of the Satan. Life on Earth is not about getting rich but rather salvation (from the Satan). After life, we will take with us the good deed and not the wealth.

One of greatest way to show that we are heaven-worthy is to apply Jesus' teaching/principles of wisdoms and humility in our daily lives. We should be serving God by helping each other to 'carry thier crosses' instead serving the Satan and turning others lives into hell through sins like greediness ... Even during the great tribulation we should be helping each other instead of trying to save ourselves. Luke 9:24 For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will save it. We serve God and achieve salvation for example when we forgive and forfeit salvation and be judged when we judged others. This should be a way of lives for Christians. Bible teaching should not be theory only but also put into practice.

Without reform Jesus cannot introduce us to His father. We cannot be a bunch of greedy, hypocrite ... and expected to be heaven-worthy. Jesus is waiting for us to be heaven-worthy before he comes. Lets not make Him wait any longer and adopt His teachings.

This lacks nuance though... There are verses which support the word of faith movement. Matt 7:7-11, 17:20, 21:21-22. John 14:12-14, 15:7, 16, 16:23-24. 1 John 3:22, 5:14-15.

Really? Faith is a "force" that God Himself used to create everything? So, God had to "believe" for creation to happen? That's a pretty weak God. And, if I'm in want of money, I just speak to my wallet in faith and money appears...really? Your verses are out of context, the Greek not properly parsed, nor understand the culture and the meanings of words that the Jews clearly understood....you're passing on dribble and not sound and total truth in God's Word.

I think this is where religion is failing, you guys yourself ask for money and can't sustain without it and then call it evil. This poverty mindset has killed so many people. Go to a poor person with financial difficulties and see what difference it makes in their life with shallow words. Let me tell you honestly, money is extremely important in this world. If you don't have it, you can't live. Sorry to say but this is true.

@@LiberatedbyGod a single verse out of context makes no sense, remember this. Idk what you intended to mean but anytime you read the Bible you must read it in context, that's what any theologian will tell you. Peace.

@@souvikguha I'm not against the prosperity gospel, but I also don't support it. In every church you go to, there's always gonna be something you're not going to agree with.

@@LiberatedbyGod yeah that's right. Btw I believe prosperity itself is not a bad thing God can give us blessings materially too, it's when someone becomes over-engaged in it or is swayed away from the purpose of life as a Christian, that's where problem lies. God is the most important, to seek His Kingdom first is something we should keep in mind.

It is hard for someone in need to help others. So I believe God will make us rich so that we can have the ability to help others. The term "rich" should not be just be limited to money but it should include health, money, mental health, good family relationship and favor with others. We are called to be the head and not the tail.
3 John 2 Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.

"And He sat down and called the twelve. And He said to them, “If anyone would be first, he must be last of all and servant of all.”
      Mark 9:35 ESV
If you want to pray for riches, are you sure you are to give the majority of it to those who are in need and not keep it for yourself?
"But if we have food and clothing, with these we will be content. But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation, into a snare, into many senseless and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evils. It is through this craving that some have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many pangs."
      1 Timothy 6:8‭-‬10 ESV
This is a good example of how we should ask God for blessings. God bless
"Two things I ask of you; deny them not to me before I die: Remove far from me falsehood and lying; give me neither poverty nor riches; feed me with the food that is needful for me, lest I be full and deny you and say, “Who is the Lord?” or lest I be poor and steal and profane the name of my God."
      Proverbs 30:7‭-‬9 ESV

Did Jesus help others by giving people wealth? How about the disciples? Was the great commission to “go to the ends of the earth and help people make money”? While we need to help people with what we have, “make more money so that you can help others” is in no way a biblical command.
