Not the thunderhead, we already have an autocannon The top 3 i want in the game are the lead storm, LOK-1 and the breach cutter Other than that the sludge pump and cryo cannon would be cool and a pocket railgun coilgun would be awesome
I believe the main dev of DRG semi-recently went to visit and hang out with arrowhead to talk and share knowledge on each of their games in hopes of potential collabs between them since both games are passionately loved by their devs/community and they are both similar to each other. So a future DRG x HD2 collab is definitely still a possibility.
Technically actually you can, bile spewers and spore chargers both will explode acid in a small radius, so if a bunch are low near eachother and you shoot one the rest usually die then chain react
Bro I'd love to see an animation of the Terminids being sent on Hoxxes, with the impalers making holes in the ground and the glyphid protecting their home, along with the other insects living there to take out this invasive bug species
There are already Terminids that explode when they die... So it would make sense if they added a bug that explodes on purpose, as horrifying as that seems!
There might be a counterpart to the warden in HD2. The brood commanders and the alpha commanders. While they don’t power up other bugs, they do summon more bugs quickly when alerted, and the alphas summon souped up warriors.
Bugs commit multiple acts of genocide against Mormon Separatists for the crime of settling on a planet they didn't know the Bugs had already claimed. The Bugs didn't try to communicate with or resettle the colonists, they just slaughtered them. Then, because the Mormons are human, they launch a genocidal meteor strike towards Earth, attacking an unrelated party and wiping out an entire South American city. And internet intellectuals - typically ones who claim to be progressive - declare the Bugs as innocent victims. Did these people watch a different movie to the rest of us?
i think the crassus detonater armored itself with gold so it has a better chance of reaching its target intact, there are some bugs irl that eat minerals like iron or whatnot and their body moves that mineral into their shell or carapace to harden it, obviously at their size we dont notice cause were a million times bigger but the principle of it is their then the explosion creates entense heat that liquifies the gold and the shock wave throws said golden goo all over the cave then it cools and hardens into a minable gold. a real life example of this may be that in "shaped charges" theres a copper cone, the explosion liquifies the copper and turns it into a beam of molten metal that burns through armor like a lazer. but thats because the shaped and design causes it to focus into a beam, whereas the natural armor of the crassus has no such shape and would just go everywhere
Not to be the "erm actshually☝️🤓" guy, but actually funnily enough the terminids are by majority eyeless or effectively no eyes(vestigial eyes that are covered by carapace or something) with the notable exception of hunter caste terminids, ie. Leapers, hunters, shriekers, and stalkers.
Even to mention that Terminids and Glyphids can not only just use pheromones but also vocal sounds. Glyphids even make alot of sound too even when not fighting, indicating that they use echo location to see.
@viper0vendalmy794 mhm, loads of chittering and clicking from em, except technically chargers who do more like stomps and roars but alas, the attention to detail with enemies is honestly rad
There is actually a theory that whilst the glyphids are not directly controlled by a hive mind, since the planet of Hokses 4 is sentient, it tells the bugs where to go by creating vibrations
Also, consider that ALL Dreadnoughts are NOT fully grown! We are intentionally sent in to interrupt their gestation/metamorphosis. DRG, has no idea what would happen if a Dreadnought were to fully mature, AND INTENDS TO KEEP IT THAT WAY!
7:18 Swarmers in DRG are a far better comparison to the scavengers and as someone who has extensively played both games, swarmers are much deadlier than scavengers due to their tiny size and ability to jump
It would be cool if a rarer version of bile spewer that inside it's big bile sack, are super earth civilians and KIA helldivers with an ammo pack, stims, anything like that would be awesome to have. It'd only spawn from challenging difficulty or suicide difficulty and up just to reward helldivers who do those harder missions.
Imagaine if ther was a helldivers equivalent to the unknown horror, which if you didn't know, its basically a invincible walking nuclear bomb that follows you everywhere.
12:01 I would say, yes and no, the Oppressor is deliberately an anti-bunkering enemy, with it’s ability to create shockwaves, be literally impenetrable from the front, and , most of all, it can dig, and crack a bunker wide open
10:38 Maybe a large bug, inbetween a charger and an impaler that roams the battlefields eating bodies, minerals, and weapons for some strategie the bugs are trying. Like the nids from 40k trying to get tougher minerals or metals into their DNA so they can further resist the call of freedom
Literally the first thing you say about starship troopers is wrong. Even in the movie which was a complete piss take, not even a parody, it was a piss take of the book, made the bugs the aggressor. The director directly said in an interview that the bugs attacked first.
Erm, no? There is a news broadcast that mentions humans expanding into the bugs' territory before the war begins. Humans moved into bug planets, bugs defend their home, humans attack bugs. The humans literally started it
Slight correction on the arachnid part! Arachnids have two major body segments, spiders have the body and abdomen, scorpions have the body and tail, Glyphids differ from this by having a moveable head, which arachnids lack, that isn't fused to the rest of the chitin around where ther head connects to their body. Hope I didn't come off a little harsh, I just like arachnids
The oily bastards terrify me. I mean, glyphids are all different, but they all look similar. BUT TELL ME, HOW ON GOD'S GREEN EARTH A CHARGER, ALPHA COMMANDER, STALKER, SHRIEKER AND BILE TITANS CAN BE BROTHERS
More like cousins, they seem to be of different ‘casts’. Like the warrior, brood commander, and hive guard all have the same long body and flat head because they’re the soldiers. A lot of them also just look like bigger versions of smaller bugs, implying they have stages to their life cycle, like a charger is just a big armoured scavenger if you look at the side by side, or how bile spitters (the bile scavenger variant) is a tiny bile spewer, and the bile spewer has all the features of a titan, just in different proportions, implying that titans are just very old spitters that grew an insane amount. You can see this in some other sets of bugs as well like the hunter and the stalker
I would have compared the spitter to the glyphid spreader as it looks similar and launches lingering artillery sludge. It's a tougher bug that can't be headshot but has a massive weak point. Another comparison would have been the menace as it is also a larger spitting variant that uses the caves to its advantage to quickly move around and ambush the dwarves.
The oppressor is more like a charger because they are numerous and not difficult to kill, the impalers are like a lower health dreadnought to be honest
It is an interesting thing to see between HD2 and DRG. The terminds are creatures that were experimented on just so they can produce more of the oil like substance in their body and are now rapidly evolving insectoids that are just trying to expand. The Glyphids however don’t need to do that. They won their ecological arms race in Hoxxes. Due to the radical changes many people theorized happen, there needed to be some dominant creature that can adapt the best to these environments. And the glyphid swarm were the winners. Why they are everywhere and have adapted to every single cave in Hoxxes. And only now are the swarm getting challenged by the company of DRG as they attempt to mine the planet dry.
As a HD2 fan who hasn’t played DRG, I wouldn’t necessarily want them to copy the exact functions of some of the DRG bugs, but I have to admit that the Warden and Exploder do sound like cool ideas for future terminids. Definitely would crank up the difficulty.
I think that pink bug at the end of the video. Probably sprays their fello bugs with adrenaline and other body/Mind altering substances that are easily exorbed by their ally bugs.
terminids i think exist between the ant style hive and a sci-fi style hivemind. because the terminids clearly still gave to communicate with each other through the language of pheromones. which means they dont have a telepathic link between each other so perhaps its the hive lords/queens that are the hiveminded leaders of the terminids
While not exactly the same I can see comparisons between the Impaler and the Glyphid Sting Tail. The Impaler attacks by stabbing you with tentacles from its head while the Sting Tail grabs you with the stretchy claw from its tail and stabs you with its horn.
What kind of bugs, bots, or illuminates would you add to helldiver 2. They could be new or old maybe even something else entirely. as for me I want to see a walking fortress for the bugs and bots something you HAVE to kill from the inside, just imagine a mobile factory or hive walking around the map armed to the teeth with artillery, bile, guns, and claws. then KABOOM
