@supercliff5634 it's not a big lake so you can cover the whole lake if you have to. But I always did good right in front of the Lodge just past the bouy. Good luck! You probably will see alot of boats jigging for Kokanee also.
I live in Bend and just picked up a fishing kayak. Mine isn’t as fancy as yours -no trolling motor or drive system, just old fashioned paddling 😂. Any tips to get started? Good lakes to try out?
The cool thing about Kokanee fishing is that you don't have to move very fast. You just need to troll at 1-1.5 mph, you can easily paddle this. If you don't have any Kokanee gear just start with a 2" pink Hoochie tipped with a piece of corn on each hook. And use a dodger about 12" away from the lure. Also, I have seen a bunch of boats jigging for kokanee with a kastmaster lure.
When I troll for Kokanee, I try to keep my speed at 1.2 mph. But between .9 and 1.4 is ok. Never faster than 1.5 mph. Sometimes there is current or wind changing your speed so you need to keep an eye on your Fish finder or whatever device you can see how fast your are going.
My absolute favorite Kokanee fishing lakes
My favorite Oregon lake for sure!
Wow what a beautiful lake.. looked tasty also!!!
Absolutely, I can't wait to go back and fish it again and it's twin lake called East Lake.

Good luck up there! Thanks for watching
I might be there for the 4th. Are you in a boat or kayak?
I’ll be in a blue Lund boat.
Those looked good in the skillet at the end!
Thank you! They tasted even better than it looked
Great catches, bud.
Thanks my friend!
John and I might hit this lake this week. Any pointers on where to troll?
