Thanks Phil another great vid, fantastic news that it is so versatile and that it doesn;t knack the joint lines like a turbo nozzle, I am saving my pennies.............
I don't use it on decking as it can leave swirl marks like a turbo. Not sure what you mean by using lead as I can't say I have any issues with kickback. In fact it's probably the tamest Lance I ever used in that repsect. Do you have a return to tank bypass unloader?
@@DirtyDriveAway But I have a 1.5m lance which I have created a 90 degree bend on it. It means its perfect when I'm cleaning roof tiles but I need to hold it down. Was thinking on fitting a weight on it as a counter balance. I will try it one day when I'm not so busy.

Just a bit of FYI. The twin head turbo won't work on a 15lpm After looking at yours I fancied one. But was told I didn't have the flow min 18 LPM Regards nick
yeah it all depends on pressure and flow as you have to split the nozzle size in half. I think the smallest suttner go is an 030 nozzle. What pressure is your machine?
It worked great on my job this morning, you need smaller turbo nozzles as you are halving the flow. It was a 15lpm machine, evolution i think it;s called.
Hi Phil, intresting video.I have just set up for what looks like next season.I have a single rotary head and a 18" whirlaway. How would you rate whirlaway and any advice how to "bring in work".
hey shawn, the wirlaways are ok, I do have one. Problem I find is they are bulky and take up valuable space in the van. They can give a reasonable clean but I feel they lack the oomph of a lance. They tend to use 25 degree jets. As you have 2 of them on a whirlaway you need to split your regular nozzle size in half, thereby splitting the power between the 2 nozzles. I tend to find you have to make multiple passes over the same area in order to achieve a decent clean with no stripping. If you have weeds the whirlaway tends to struggle especially if you running a lower power and flow machine. As for getting work your best way is a good website, i built mine a few years ago and it pulls in more and more work every year, its my sole advertising route as advertising in general can get very expensive. The 2 best bits of kit you can have on your van are a vario nozzle lance and a good turbo nozzle (or twin nozzle if your machine allows) need any help just ask. phill
Hi Phil, thanks for the reply. If possible could you give me some idea on "fair pricing" of jobs. How much per square meter for different jobs? Thanks Shawn
Shawn Jones hey shawn. Well if you really want to start pulling the work in next season your prices need to be keen to customers. Some companies charge a fortune for this kind of work. My prices are a bit cheap but then im booked solid all season, ive been booking 6 weeks in advance through summer. Have a look at my website, my price structure is on there. Just think about what you want to earn for a days work. I normally cap my clean price at £150 a day and that gets 6hrs cleaning. I usually aim for around £20-£25 per hour, but you win some and you loose some. Dont turn down the small jobs as those are quick and easy to knock out. If you dont have a website get one sorted now so its running well for the new year. I have a web designer friend who does all that so if you need one built i can put you in touch, shes very good and very reasonable, she can tailor a web build to suit your budget.
Hi Phil, Quiz question for you - did the 150 sqm in 2h 15m include tidying up and packing up or the raw clean of the blocks? I got my 600L tank and 21LPM this week :woo hoo! I measured 10 sq m and cleaned it with the double turbo in 8m 20s. Could you estimate the increase in performance to the Falsh from the double turbo in percentage terms, what about a video comparing the performance of your different set ups?
its difficult to put the nozzles in a performance race. The falch for me works really well on all types of stone, whereas a turbo nozzle should really only be left to do block paving as they are very aggressive. The falch can struggle a bit on heavy weeds, it does remove them but not as easily as a normal turbo nozzle. The falch covers a wider area compared to the single\double turbo nozzle, I found that when using the double lance I had to really look where i was going to avoid missing spots. The falch covers like a block and a half so I know that with each pass its cleaning the entire block. The falch also has nowhere near the kickback that a turbo nozzle has. I actually broke out my single head turbo the other day and man my arms were killing me towards the end, the kickback on a single nozzle at 250bar is serious, with the falch its barely noticeable. The falch is also a bit gentler on the sand lines, you tend to loose a lot less sand, meaning less muck to clear up. When I used the turbo nozzle it really tore out the sand, I walked away from that job with an extra sack of muck then i expected. This ultimately means more sand to sweep back in. Because I don't get anywhere near as tired using the falch it means I can keep going for longer without coming off the trigger or taking a break.
powerwashcleaning yes it covers way more ground than the twin nozzle. Ive used the twin nozzle many a time and it is good but this nozzle beats it on time.
Yes you need this on full power to get maximum performance out of it. Don't use anything other than a normal lance on low power for decking otherwise it will destroy the wood.

450-500 bar for cleaning driveways and patios etc is way to high. That will damage the stonework and rip out cement joints. I think you may need to do some more research into this. You really need to know how to operate a machine properly its not all about the pressure. If your running 500bar you going to cause damage, that is paint stripping pressure Your best off with a machine of around 200bar and 21LPM you can get them for a fair price, once you go 250bar upwards the price skyrockets as all the components need to be beefed up. The more flow the better the clean, but bear in mind your water supply if you plan on using anything above 21lpm as a common outdoor house tap kicks out around 9-15lpm so you will use water quicker than you can keep a tank filled. No it is not a winter job, cleaning driveways and patios goes from March-September.
Your washer will be on full power all the time unless you use the unloader valve to wind the pressure down. If it is kicking out 450-500bar you won't be able to back it off that far permanently. You will also need to have a pressure gauge on the pump. A washer that size will cost mega money as the pump will be overkill. Thats the kind of equipment you see in boatyards for removing barnacles and paint from boats.
