Just wanna share a fact why this song is so meaningful for them. Chris (vocalist) wrote this song for his then girlfriend (now ex-wife) after her dad passed away. She was so heartbroken because she had very close relationships with her father. That’s the reason this beautiful song called Fix you. Tried to fix her broken heart

After 15 awesome years, looks like my dog is about to give in. This song never made so much sense to me and never made me cry this much before. This is the power of music. It connects with you, and wake these emotions you had inside of you but didn't even knew. Some people may think it's kinda ridiculous to feel like this for a pet, but he's not just a pet. He's a family member. He's my younger brother. And i kind of got the chorus on reverse. I tried to "fix" him, but seems like soon the lights will guide him and ignite his bones. I hope that, wherever he goes, is somewhere with no pain and chicken fillet rains every thursday. But he'll have to make new friends, because i won't be there for him for some time. I hope he knows that one day i'll go pick him up.

I'm so sorry that you are having to go through this I wish the very best for both you and your younger brother. My daughter would have been 7 on the 02nd of April this year instead she passed away in my arms on 11/05/15.
She was then and still is the only light of my life. I can't ever be fixed but so many people have tried. Just like the depths of my heartbreak I will never be able to express the gratitude I have for all those who try every day to fix me.

This song reminds me of the family and friends who stuck around and helped me back up every time I fell during my battle with alcoholism, and the ones who helped me reach and keep sobriety. Every time I listen to it now, I think of those who helped guide me on the path to recovery and am grateful for having them in my life, as I know I would never have made it without them.

What I like about it ist that when the first verse is sung I feel sad mostly because sometimes you know it's exactly the way I feel, and what I need to hear… I start thinking and let the music calm me down and when the drums and the guitar come in that's the moment I experience happiness again. Haha :)

This song was my anthem when I got clean from heroin 11 years ago. I know it's a love ballad but to me at that point in my life heroin was my lover. This song was about me fixing myself to me. This song will ALWAYS hold a special place in my heart. Lights guided me home to the life I always should have lived and I fixed me, and I most DEFINITELY learned from the mistakes. Many jail, rehab, and halfway house stints. Was too in love with heroin to let it go. But I tried and found out what I was worth. Defines such a pivotal place in my life 11 years ago. LOVE THIS SONG💗😍

I loved someone for 20 years-then cuz I got diagnosed with a mental illness after having our 2nd daughter, he filed for divorce and I spent almost 3 years fighting for my kids in court-WITH NO ATTORNEY! Thank God for karma. He thought I was too stupid and poor that the only way I'd see my kids is with supervised visitation. On September 6, 2017, I won getting more often and consistent time with them-NOW UNSUPERVISED. I also won the religion war-and I loved watching him squirm in his chair.
