This was the song of unique harmony combinations. Jin/RM, Suga/Tae, Suga/Jin. I think I have listened to every BTS song and I have never heard any of these combos before. It was wonderful.

It’s not called harmonizing SJJSPS Just singing a lower octave, theyre singing the same notes just a different octave. So you dont call it harmonies. Edit: jk I learned wrong, its still a harmony bc it’s a different frequency

The fact that Coldplay themselves do not allow just anyone to cover their song, this song in particular. BTS delivered, not only the perfection that this song is, but also the emotions that it convey. Each and every single one of them, thank you.

Anyone can post a cover but being recognized for it is completely different. If you’ve ever noticed this song is not used in many movies, TV shows, or ever covered by larger artist and that’s because Coldplay is very picky about who they have preform and use the song.

My husband and I are huge Coldplay fans. Listened to it when we were falling in love, Yellow came on in Jamaica after he proposed, just random times at the perfect time. It’s somehow always been a sign that we’re in the right place at the right time. Then my daughter (9yrs old) sends me this link today. She’s a huge BTS fan. It’s come full circle and tears literally stream down my face. This is absolutely amazing.

I’m not an ARMY but I care about the hate they’re getting because the comments made by the German DJ is not only racist, it is also fueling the rising cases of anti-asian violence. Very few people outside of the Asian community are speaking up about this issue, and it doesn’t help when a non-person of color compares a group of Asians to a virus. I've been a huge Coldplay fan for 15 years. I was a bit cautious when I read there would be a cover from BTS because usually there's a level of disrespect from any musician's fandom whenever they make a cover, but I've been pleasantly surprised with the amount of kind comments towards Coldplay from BTS fans all over the internet. The band itself did the song justice, even if it's not an easy song to cover. Overall I'm leaving with a very good impression.

That's because a lot of BTS fans, myself included, are also Coldplay's fans. I've been with them since Parachutes and I can say that one of the best days of my life was being in that stadium in Mexico City making my dream of seeing them live come true, while they were filming the A head full of dreams music video... Now watching this cover was so special to me, since Fix you has been a huge part of my life, as Coldplay and BTS too... Im just so happy 💜

I came here after seeing coldplay's Instagram Story, and I am crying. I never listened to BTS before, although I know they have a huge fandom. It is stunning. This song was my only comfort while I was in severe depression, it is really special to me, and this seven man just sang it with their heart and soul. And now I know why they are loved. I want to hear them more. I think I need more BTS in my life.

I saw bts got subjected to racism and disgusting words because of one cover, and came here to check if it even warranted one comment about unstable vocals or such. And wow. This song is so close to my heart, it came out the same day I lost my grandmother and although it's been a decade, it still hits just the same, I cherish this song and is generally dismissive of any and every cover of this. But wow this. It touched me so much. All the boys are such amazing singers!! I thought some of them only rapped lol. Their vocals, the harmony, it made me feel the same way seeing coldplay perform this live did. They put their heart and soul in this and if they can do this for a cover, I wonder how their own songs sound like. The guy who ends the song gave me goosebumps, his voice is so, so rich. And the one who sits at the far right, wow. The tenor of his voice is unmatched. I especially love the one with the pink mic. His voice is so...soulful, emotional, I felt chills, it pushed me to tears. Someone please, introduce him to me!! This cover was so perfect, and since the racist idiot couldn't find one flaw in the performance he decided to throw dirt at them the only way whites know how to bring down poc. I love how restrained they were with this song. They didn't tried to change it into something you can barely recognize, they didn't do unnecessary vocal acrobatics to try to impress with their vocal abilities, they even left guitar rift to play. That is what you call paying respect.

Totally agree with you. I'm an ARMY but I love Coldplay songs they are all so good in their genre, but I don't cry when I listen to it. This cover made me cry listening to it, and I don't usually cry not even when I watch movies. I guess it tells me how good this cover is.

Guy was triggered that a Korean boyband did MTV Unplugged and was even more triggered when they covered Fix You. He is definitely racist and felt that he can be overt with it due to the dangerous anti Asian sentiment going around. He definitely did NOT watch this performance or was curious enough to know their body of work as any genuine music journalist should. Such a shame that something as beautiful as this cover was temporarily tainted by some low life's tantrums. But I know that there is a higher purpose to everything -- BTS becoming big at this point in time, breaking all stereotypes around race, masculinity, Anglo-centrism and all that. It is shining light on how there will be forces who will try to bring them down so we can go back to the way it has been -- the marginalized remaining marginalized. Most of their songs come with stories and messages, with few witty sidetracks to add to the fun. Understanding their music takes more than just listening to a song or two. It's a whole timeline from being a rebellious youth towards the unfair society to the process of growing up and learning to love and accept yourself for who you are. You boys did great here. I am not a Coldplay fan and have only limited experience with their music but I know they are good songwriters and decent performers. That they supported this cover knowing how the message fits the BTS history is impressive. Nobody has the range of voices to cover this like our BTS. I am frankly surprised that BTS would pick someone else's song for their MTV debut but they nailed it. The music was mixed in too loudly and drowned out the lyrics but V and Jimin and the others were, as usual, perfect, relaxed and professional and they all looked great. JK looks about 30 years old now. Hardly recognized him. Jimin is so damn beautiful in fine dress clothes. Stunning visual. The boys did it again. Another home run.

Eminem is known for very clever word play and lyricism while Suga is known for telling a story and bringing out his raw emotions when he raps. Western fans won’t be able to clearly critique Suga’s rapping and lyricism unless the understand the language and vice versa. There’s really no point to compare.
