    The KLARK TEKNIK CT-1 it's sound more precise,and a bit warmer even if feels that take less gain than the fethead,the fethead has more gain but doesn't sound too clear and boost up a little too much?
    The cloudlifter it's indeed the microphone who has more gain,but i don't like how does absorb the sound,sound only more gain but sacrificing the clearness of the mic.
    For the only db gain i would choose the Fethead,for clearness and gain CT1,in my case the shop has both for only 20 euros of difference,so i'll try the CT1 and try to add some background music for "mask" that little noise of the preamps.
    Thanks for the review @Danboxing

    Great jobs, althought not pro but very helpful, thanks a lot, after listen to all your recording, i am more interesting in the white noise output, the boosting fedhead the loudest, Klark Teknik weakest, Cloudlifter handle the white better, it boost more balance on most frequency compare to Fedhead and the Klark Teknik, well different brands of mic and preamp will again alter the results again due to impedance matching and losses, thanking you much

    For me, Klark CT-1 sounds much better than other boosters...

    I don't have a booster but am looking for one and this was very helpful. I agree with your choice--Fethead. It might have been my imagination, but when you compared the KT and the Fethead at the same volume level (without the Cloudlifter), your wife's voice with the Fethead sounded a bit "smoother" to me than the KT. I've also read in product reviews that the KT doesn't always connect securely to some microphones and can fall off. Even though it's not necessarily a common issue, it's a risk I'm not willing to take for the $55 difference. Thanks for the great review! Short, but covered all the bases for me very well and just enough time for the A/B/C tests for each.

      @@DanboxingPH also the cl-1 don't give full range of gain boost, it will only give up to 15 on voice till you get into the low frequencys then the rest of the boost kicks in. It does do a good job giving a warm tone though, but for price point not a bad boster if you get it on sell.

    Is there a gain difference between klark and cloudlifter?

    a great test but you still need a preamp your expecting these to make it professional and it wont do it the sure is a nice mic for some one on a budget and i would by the klark however still not pro you need a 2,000 dollar preamp and a 3,700 tube mic and professional sound card with proper audio to digital converters and digital audio converters now this is expensive but the sound is night and day

    • @sikwitit773
      @sikwitit773 2 роки тому +1

      If you had a $3700 Tube Microphone you wouldn't use a Sm7b, it's a night and day difference of course but using a klark mic and booster and a WA12 would be way better than cranking the gain on a underpowered Audio Interface and hoping for the best.

      Not really agreeing with this. The SM7B is perfect for audio blogs and also for many performers. Hip hop & loud rock as many rappers use it and also Michael Jackson and Anthony Kiedis famously used this mic) I have had it and also use a U87ai (can be had used $2k-$2.5k and its fantastic on most sources but you can get pro sounds well cheaper with many microphones) As for preamp, again, hip hop artist such as Snoop use a BAE DMP 73, easily had for about $1k. You can grab a UA 610 for $1.2k new, and a Focusrite ISA One can be had for $700 new and all sound fantastically pro on vocals. This video is fantastic. Logical, great points about usage, and the romantic poem was icing on the cake. Your wife’s ability to stay same-volume is talent in itself! Wish there were more who conduct comparisons like you do. Logical, to the point, and with a touch of artistry!
