"400BHP" This, the Z-Tune, and the TKR are the holy trinity of mass produced new school gtrs. I could also argue the Mine's R32, the Veilside GTR, and GTRLM for rarity, but those are one offs. Incredible stuff. I always thought of this machine as the F40/enzo type, racecar on the street that poured a GT program into a production car for their best customers. I hope they never stop making parts for these cars. I love the sound, and seeing what these can do against the world's best.
400 horsepower in 1995 was fast. Of course kids these days think it’s not a lot of horsepower and wonder why all those 400hp 2011+ mustangs get loose easy. Hahahaha it is a good amount of power and pure cope from those who think it isn’t.
There's a 400r right here in South Africa. The owner even does drag racing with it so I'm assuming he's done a few things to it. But I'm so glad I've gotten to see it in real life.
Larry you have to travel to here in Australia, V-Spec in Melbourne have 3 400Rs, and a MNP III Z-Tune as well. I have been lucky enough to see them in person (as well as their other awesome cars). It's so epic!!!
I had a replica r33 400R, it was actually a gtst25 but fully modified to the extreme, down to a single seater, a truck turbo and full gtr interior etc. Fk it was insane. I manually tuned it via the dash mounted link computer and it made you sick with lateral gs. I had it up to about 260kmh (off the clock) in 4th gear up a hill, at about 4000rpm so this had legs left to spare. I took it for Dyno and it wasnt super stable that day, had 400hp but 700+nm torque. The tourque was insane. It's the fastest accelerating car I've been in. Was wild.
I Live in Tasmania, Australia and in 2010 a rx8 gt ran into the back of a 400r and wrote it off in a Targa event down here. I was gutted at the time because I knew how rare they were. I’ve always wondered where it ended up and if they managed to fix it.
When I first saw an f-40 I said “if I die today I’m okay with it” but In reality now I’ve seen 3 more after, GOD pls don’t take me without seeing a 400R!! 😂

To add to his comments on being a real limited production car, for its high value, it is a Homologation Special as well, intentional low volume car, built from the ground Up - to make use of the platform for WEC/LM competition Racing. These types of cars will forever go up and retain its insane price tag/values
I made this car in Gran Tourismo 7 through the livery editor, obviously with some discrepancies due to limitations but I’m satisfied. Dream spec right here

I wouldn’t think the process of making a Z-Tune (as he described) would affect it much as I think the track those specific VIN as being “Z-Tune” VIN’s or even re-VIN them (no sure if either are true). Being that both are very rare and elusive, I am not surprised at the price in this current market.
Mailman in Las Vegas. I just saw an R33 on my route. It’s shocking how unassuming they are. I passed by it once and thought “hey, that’s a mean looking Maxima”. Then I passed by a second time and I noticed. That’s what I love about the R33. Definitely my favorite model of Skyline.
1996 had just a handful of production cars over 400hp in America. Dodge Viper, Ferrari 550M, Ferrari 456, Ferrari F50, Porsche 993 Turbo S, Lamborghini Diablo. Hitting 400hp from the factory was no small task, so a 400R in '96 was rarified air.
November 1997 was when the 400R Launched, Don't forget TRD Also had a Supra, Plus all the Hks/veilside/Mines GT-Rs/Supra's that were made into Production cars forsale
Mannn wait until US gets there hands on some of the unique 34s. 34s have half the production numbers and objectively much bigger following. That’s probably gonna drive some of these rare 33s up even more. Some prices are going to be scary in the future
I like that toprank brings in cool JDM cars to the States but companies like them are the reason they are getting so expensive. They buy as many good ones as they can and flood the market with cars for sale at 3x the cost, so everyone that owns a 90s JDM shitbox thinks their car is worth a fuck ton.
That Skyline 400r is one of the underrated JDM icon of the early 80's and at the same time most expensive Skyline Nismo you could ever buy nowadays. Timeless design and engineering!!! A perfect machine suitable for people who are genuine car enthusiasts and it's made to be a street/track car.

Not to break any dreams - left door is not OEM-paint. Between 2:50 - 2:59 it's easy to see 'markings' / flimmer from the sanding machine, when the sunlight hits the doorskin. I used to work as a painter for many years, and a technichian for DuPont in Europe. Measure the thichness of the paint of the door, its more than OEM / 90-140 my. I love the car, and I understand this is worth a lot of money but the 'original paint'-statement in the video is by my knownledge not correct.

The only semi obtainable non-exotics in dealership showrooms I can think of would be a ZR1 Corvette, Viper plus Saleen S351's and Callaway Vette's if we're including factory backed special editions like this 400R.
Top Rank needs to find a R33 Type 280 MR, rarest non gtr R33 also has reinik built 2.8l RB25DET. Also a special order nismo car i think less than 20 made. Ive only seen 3 for sale the past 4 years.
There was one for sale on Carsensor for around 5.5m yen about a year ago. Kanagawa dealer special. Same block as 400R with NVCS capable Rb25 head. Had a similar read bumper as the old Trial rear bumper or 400R rear bumper.
Whole america is jacking up the prices cause the 25 year rule..while we i europe have had these for decades..so people here are selling skylines to the us cause they pay lol..while most of european dont think they are worth over 100k..
Those 21 Z-Tune cars are basically a Kitted & Tuned GTR-34. Just tuned by the Manufacturer of the base car, but still essentially aftermarket. Whereas the 400R is Primary Market, or was made from the ground up at the factory to be exactly what it is from day one Concept Designs all the way to Printing the Title and VIN Tags. I don't get why people cannot understand this??? I really like how he describes it the way he does... "A Z-Tune is a cool car, a fun car, but the 400R is a REAL CAR! You could go to the Dealership and buy a 400R as it is. You couldn't go to the dealership and just buy a Z-Tune and choose options and stuff.
The z tunes are worth more just no one has sold one in a long time, there is a shop near me that in Australia that has a 400r and a ztune and both are factory restored from nismo
I’d say the most expensive GTR will be the MNP 3 Z-Tune resto car in Australia that got sent back through the factory to 0 on the cluster and got re stamped as MNP 3 Z tune
33 400R and the 34 Z and R spec GTR are on a different level. Even when new they got that Holy Shit factor. Doesn't surprised me at all if that's the price in 2023.
Most people will disagree with me, but I actually prefer the r33 over the r32. I think people should jump on this before the price blows up when most the r32s and r34s are exported out of Japan.

400hp is A LOT, even by todays standards, the corvette c8 is at 490, people these days are just obsessed with hp because mopar makes these crazy 700+hp cars that can’t handle a single corner. Nismo (Japanese brands in general) was all about track racing not straight line racing.

I'm certain that is the paint protection film. The entire car is covered.
The whole car is covered in PPF. Whether the paint underneath is original is hard to say. I’ve seen this car in person.

its not loud because exhaust volume for street use is regulated in japan.
These cars are literally my dream cars. I was 17 when GT2 was out and I still look at these like unicorns. Japanese history in its finest

Not a 2m car one sold recently for a round 1m. Theres also another one In the USA in a private collection.
Only thing I have a problem with is the different Nismo logos throughout the bay. You have Old,Old.1, Mid,New .
At a car show id dock it for that.
Intake manifold is not original, it’s later Nismo production. The original one is black and doesn’t have Nismo logo on it.
