    I discovered this practice as I have been recovering from Covid-19 and it's been an immense source of comfort and relief to me. I have been an avid practitioner of yin yoga for many years, and your classes are some of the most powerful I've ever found. Thank you, and please: more yin classes!!!

    Almost a year ago i've practiced this yin yoga. Stopped smoking 3 days after and do not smoke since. I just enjoyed the practice and really do not know why it affected me so much.
    I want to thank you for helping me to hear my lungs voice and defeat the addiction.

    Twice now that I have tried this, it has rebalanced my qi, as I was feeling very tired and lacking motivation. It seems like the oxygenation itself, as you said, spreads the qi throughout the body, limbs and head to revitalizes all and fill it with it's own reservoir of energy --Dan tien, I imagine. Thank you for sharing your qi and wisdom with the world straight from the Chinese masters of this art (and Thai). You are a national & international Treasure. With prayers for you and for peace in our world. HAPPY WOMEN'S HISTORY MONTH!

    I am a subscription member of your website and love your practices but Now that these have been monetised and adverts are popping up and disturbing the very meditative practice, Can you please make the Yin Yoga videos available on your Video Library website. I know the are in the free section on the website but that will just redirect to UA-cam again and the adverts are very unpleasant during deep practice.

    Namaste! Thank you so very much for your wonderful videos! Each day I have practiced another one - happy liver, happy heart and now happy lungs! 😄 You have so much knowledge and break it down so wonderful for us! Such soothing and healing vibes as well!🙏 How often would you actually recommend to practice Yin Yoga? I can not really connect to other forms of Yoga and like Qi Gong or Tai Chi much more. Would you switch between the sessions or do e.g. for a happy liver some days in a row as sequence? Thanks again! Haee a beautiful start into the weekend! 💞🌸💞

      Thank you! Practicing yin yoga every day has amazing benefits! Just make sure to do some yang exercise too- even if it's a brisk walk, sports, dancing or yang yoga. The key is to balance yin and yang in the body.

    Thank you for this wonderful routine!! ❤️🙏I’m wondering if you have any advice for me: I have some lumbar and cervical herniations (l4-l5, l5-s1, c7-t1, c5-c6) and a partially torn left knee meniscus and yoga has always been a mixed blessing for me. I feel great sometimes, and at other times it can be excruciatingly painful afterwards. I’ve ended up in the ER a couple of times. Therefore I stopped all yoga exercises for a long time and took up qigong because I’ve never experienced pain with qigong. But I would love to do both. I tried this routine and even though I wasn’t able to do some of the poses as prescribed or as deep, I endured through it and mentally I do feel great, but at the same time there’s quite a bit of pain in my back and knees. I’m afraid my stubbornness will get me in trouble because I do plan to continue integrating yoga and qigong. Many physical therapists have told me to not do yoga because it will end up doing more damage but I’m not willing to give up something that makes me feel so good mentally, so peaceful. Do you have any advice for a stubborn dummy, like myself?😜🙏

    • @danasnell7975
      @danasnell7975 4 роки тому

      I'm not Marissa, but I was struggling with a herniated lumbar disc before I started doing these yoga sessions. I've been doing them a few times a week, and now the pain is completely GONE. I definitely agree with doing these Yin yoga videos (not so much the regular stuff) until the pain is gone. You can definitely back off of the poses - I was doing the most pitiful versions of some of them for the first few weeks - and let time help you open the joints.
      I still skip saddle pose, and reclined twist, but I'm working up to them! I hope that helps!

    Is it normal to start crying whilst doing this? I'm told the lungs are associated with grief, so perhaps there's some link here.

    • @margaretclitherow7313
      @margaretclitherow7313 Рік тому

      Yes, that's normal. The practice can release emotional blockages as well as physical ones within the body -- often, the two are connected in a more direct, causal way that is revealed through the stillness and breathing.

    Hello Marisa! I have got an important question about traditional chinese Medecine principles and acupressure. I did this routine yesterday. I am not used to it in France. This morning I have painful feelings in the lungs. It's the first time. Could you explain me what happened ? Please.

    • @yoqi
      @yoqi  7 років тому +2

      Hi Marina, I am not sure that I can fully answer your question here with little details about your health and body type, and I am not a doctor, but I will try my best to give you some feedback! I am not clear about what you mean by "I am not used to it in France". What are you not used to in France? And what kind of painful feelings in the lungs do you have? Shortness of breath? Sharp shooting pains? Tightness in the chest? There are so many different sensations that you could be experiencing. Also, have you had a past condition or illness that may be related to this? From a Chinese medicine point of view it could be that you are purging old toxicity or emotional energy, which is a good thing, and the pain will only be temporary..it could also be related to other organs, but I can't know without taking your pulse and seeing you in person......or the pain could be telling you that you need to see a doctor. I am not a doctor. So if you feel this is serious or even if its like a bronchial virus, I recommend to consult a doctor. Or even a local Chinese Medicine doctor/acupuncturist. The three part breath that we use in this routine is a powerful, yet gentle way to open up the lungs to their full capacity and teach you how to breath deep into the lower abdomen. If you have never breathed like this before, you may have pushed too hard, you may have overstimulated the lungs, but I never heard of this breathing to hurt the lungs in the average healthy person, when done properly. I hope this can help and that you can gain positive insight into your body through the experience!
