I have been running hi-lift blades on three 52" Wright Standers and ZK for over 5-6 years with no spindle problems. Best cut ever. In fact, during the entire Fall season. I run cross blades on all three spindles. I run a hi-lift on the bottom and a gator right on top. The secret is to half throttle before engaging the PTO, mow at high throttle and drop the throttle back to half throttle before popping off the PTO. Never engage or disengage the PTO at full throttle. This stresses the clutch, belts and brakes. The main thing is to ensure you have a high-end horsepower motor of 25 + and to expect more dust, more noise, and less gas consumption. All worth it though.
Best ultra high lift blades I've ever used are from Ballard. Made my old sentar with no striping kit stripe again. Oregon fusion blades also leave a very nice cut. I think they are just high lift but seem to hold an edge much better.30 or 35 degree angle works best.
Nice back yard. No plants and a view of a warehouse parking lot. Clean cuts should be the least of your worries in terms of making your yard somewhat presentable.

All I run are high lift blades. They make the super high lift blades if you’re interested in trying those. They make alot more noise.
mine did that it was the idler pulley wasnt getting tight the bolt had fallen out i put a new bolt and spring and belt and that fixed it.
The high lifts on a 52 can make you replace the spindles almost every other season!!!!
