I love seeing your projects! Whatever you say is a WIP is a WIP! I think you are 100% correct! I don’t understand why anyone would challenge you on that issue.
WOW, not sure where to begin #1. This is YOUR hobby, not anyone elses, her opinion is just that hers and you should continue as you see fit with YOUR hobby #2 Any project you start is a WIP no matter if it has 150 sections that need to be completed. IF I put a stitch in a piece of fabric I have a WIP, I am part of the cross stitch community and I have No confusion Rose. I enjoy your videos and thank you for taking time out of your day to video and put it up on You Yube.
Thank you so much for the shout out and showing the SAL. I am so glad you are going to stitch with us❤ now… I believe you should do your craft the way you want to do it. Call it what you want when you want friend ❤️
Wow oh wow…why does she feel so strongly about your counting policy. Your wip counting logic makes sense to me and no you have not confused me. And even if I did things differently it doesn’t matter…this is your flosstube. I will do my flosstube my way…though I think you will find we align quite nicely.
Fellow flosstuber. My opinion is it’s your project, your rules. I am planning on starting 4 seasonal projects. They are from 4 leaflets but I am calling them 1 WIP. My project, my rules. 🤓 The WIP Warrior group claims that to be apart of their annual stitching group the project must have 200 stitches. That is the only time I’ve seen anyone put a number to a WIP. However, I see many stitchers call a project a WIP if floss and thread have met. I think this too is a personal interpretation. I usually stitch full coverage projects and like to have at least 1,000 stitches in my projects before I move on. Personally I don’t care what anyone else thinks. 😜 Overall, there are no rules in cross stitching. This is a hobby and I hope it’s one you can continue to enjoy. 💜 elisa
Just found your floss tube & can say that I really love your style! I agree with you totally 1) Flosstubers spend entirely too much time apologizing 2) they are your projects & you can call them what ever you want. The person that was berating you really has other unsettling issues going on & she just took it out on you. That is true for all keyboard warriors. Thanks for posting & look forward to checking out some of your other videos.
You have met the cross stitch police. I did a dimensions kit of 5 ornaments I counted it as one project. But really who cares because I also counted it as 5 FFOs. In other words it is what I say it is. Tell her to go FFO.😮
Hi Rose. Where do i start firstly this is your hobby so you do what makes you happy. For me a WIP is once you've started making crosses on your fabric its a WIP. The reason the person mentioned 200 sts is some groups on Facebook use that as a foundation for a WIP for example WIP Warriors Facebook group uses this. I wouldn't worry what other people think. Another great video Keep on stitching.❤❤
Hi Rose! I’m finally starting to get caught up on FlossTube and I want to thank you so much for the shout-out! BTW, I count WIPs the same way you do when there are multiple in a series or chart, and if I have even one stitch in the fabric… it’s a WIP! Where in the world did the arbitrary 200 stitch minimum come from?? 😂 Happy stitching and Merry Christmas! ❄️
Hi Rose! Thanks for mentioning Stephanie and In(cross stitch the globe). That was so sweet. I think everybody interprets WIPS a little differently. Like I’m doing a year long stitch that’s all to get her so I’m saying that’s 1 WIP but then my prairie school year stitch I’m doing as separate wips because they’re not on the same fabric and I might not do them all. Do it However YOU want ! 🎉 I enjoyed watching your video today. Thanks for keeping me company while I stitched with some coffee ☕️ 🧵🪡❤
Thank you for taking a step into this community. I enjoy listening to your stories and ideas. Life is too short to make rules about hobbies we do for fun. The animal baby blanket is fabulous. I'll be looking for the finish. Crabby All Year is a hoot!😅❤
If there are a number of items in a series, each one will be a separate WIP if you are stitching each as a separate item (no matter the number of stitches.) After all it is a hobby for most of us so feel free to have your own rules!! However I do think it's good manners to use the full term when first using an "in house" abbreviation eg I'm going to show my WIPS or Works in Progress ... going to my Local Needlework Shop or LNS. Then any newbie will understand what the heck you are talking about 😃
That is a very silly thing for your friend to get upset about. She was also unnecessarily aggressive, demanding to come to your house and take over. It doesn't matter how you count them. There's no Stitching IRS. Keep your records how ever you want.
It would be interesting to know why she cares so much about what you call your stuff. Keep it fun for YOU.🤗

Thanks for your input. I was very nervous to start a channel but everyone has been so supportive and I am having so much fun.

One work in process. Your work in process, your count. Your friend has issues!
Thanks for watching!!!
