G'day Hank & Roger, I so envious at your modelling desk. I don't think I've ever seen a modeller's workbench with so few supplies. When I came back to scale modelling, about 8 years ago, everything had changed since I was a kid, and I wasn't sure what paints, thinners etc. I would need so I got a bunch of different brands and types.
Likewise, I'd forgotten what tools I'd need so I stocked up on just about every conceivable tool, device or substance I thought I might want. I also began buying up a 'stash' for about a year before I had the time to start modelling.
The result is I've got so much gear on a large modelling table and all my office bookshelves became storage 'racks' for modelling 'stuff'. Every other flat surface in what used to be my office is now taken up with huge stacks of kit boxes.
Like you, Hank, my special interests are WW2 aviation topics and I prefer larger scale kits as my eyesight and dexterity has got worse as I got older. No more 1/72 scale kits for me; unless they are of large, 'real world', aircraft.
After I got out of the Air Force, I became a military historian and that's why I stick to older aircraft. Modern military aircraft are, mostly, all shades of grey which I find extremely boring.
Hank, you must keep your finished models somewhere, maybe next time you do a video like this one you can show us your collection of finished models and how you display them. Also, a quick look at your stash would be cool too.
Really enjoyed this look behind the scenes.
Cheers, and all the best to you and Roger! Bill. H.
Higher Call is such an incredible book. What is also incredible is how you managed to convince wifu to let you set up shop in the home let alone airbrush inside 🤯 Man, I can barely get away with glueing a few pieces together at the dining table! 😅
Higher Call. One of the best WW2 books ever. Nice.
At 1:37 Roger was like ok lets move thing along now I need a walk! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I think it is always interesting on seeing how others model. Some have huge workshops others like myself a corner of a room.
Cute puppy. The camera loves him!!!! Nice space. Cheers. 🙂
Zomg! loving your custom Funko Pop!! Roger is adorable!! Thx for the new studio tour, everything looks so incredibly homey and quaint...just the right build atmosphere!! :)
Very nice, I like it! It's very neat, very Hank. Thank you for sharing my friend.
Hey Hank, you and you channel were discussed at my SoCal AMPS meeting last Saturday, we thought you provided quality content along with helpful tutorials.
Awesome. You’re inspiring. Loving all the B-17 Content! I started my own collection! Thank you! 🍺
Roger is the most important part of the interior ))
Your hobby studio looks sweet! Kinda jealous you have decent space for your build and display your military props. Question..Would I be able to get a sign like your Hank's Hanger custom made? Nice Video!
Need a workbench tour asap 😫
Very cool!
Amazing
Need to see a review on that Thompson. K98 too.
Cool ! 😊 What's the make of your adjustable overhead work light ?
Like it!
have you made a video where you show off your models?
He does
You need a Norden bombsight . . would be a nice touch.
the way my eyesight is now, I'd be using one to build my kits! lolz
I HEAR THAT! @@eclipsehorse8693
Speaking of B 26s....u going for ICMs B 26???
would be great if Revell brought the old Monogram 1/48 B-26 kit back out. I built it ONCE back in the day...
You play war thunder? cool
We’re you in military?
Why the sticker on the Iron Cross?
too bad you did not turn around :)
Hello how are you? Have you made a sponsorship agreement for this or any other video of yours? I'm planning to open a UA-cam channel and I'm curious about sponsorship fees. If you made a sponsorship deal, can you tell me how much you paid?
ROGER 😂😅😂
Your work bench / studio is
TOO CLEAN and ORGANIZED
unless you cleaned up for this video…
I’m organized, but while I’m building…
My tools are to the LEFT
PAINTS/ BRUSHES to my RIGHT…
More tools and supplies in front…
My builds are broke down in smaller boxes for each phase they’re in, and spread around different areas around the bench…
Finished/ Displayed builds are in the other room…
Of course my hobby area is shared with the laundry area…
My basement is finished off
So it’s a nice place to hang out
A little good by BARK from ROGER would’ve been a nice touch…. BARK BARK BARK
my RUDY talks all the time
MODEL ON……..

I have cats that 'help me build'. Mine are usually on ,my lap, wandering around on the work bench, taking up residence in empty kit boxes, or perched on a TV stand I have next to my work bench for my laptop :)
