    Thanks Adam, I have only used Inmotion. I love your videos and saw the review you did about them sometime back and used your offer and signed up with them. They offer fantastic support especially for a non tech like me! This is great news on SSL. Keep up the great work Adam

    Hey Adam, I'm a bit of a greenhorn when it comes to self-hosting and chose to go with SiteGround. Love their support!! Also, wanted to give you a huge a shout-out and thank you for your tuts. Without your amazing content I might have gone in a different direction only to later regret it. Same applies for Theme's (GPP) and Page Builder's (EP). Thanks so much for doing a great job!! You have become a trusted digital friend.

    Hi Adam, I am using Inmotion and so far i'm very happy, especially with the customer service. Since I'm a relative newbie this was very important. I never have to wait more than a minute or two to get a response and they are always patient and helpful. Going to look into the SSL now.

      Hey Don, yes I do have two videos regarding changing web hosts. One of them I show you how to create a cPanel backup and uploaded to your new Webhost and then asked them to restore it. This method will migrate everything including websites, emails, and databases. The other video is just on how to move a website only.

    Setting up my first website. Going with Inmotion Hosting. They offer BoldGrid as a preloaded page builder. Love your tutorials on Elementor, would I be able to use Elementor instead? Are they comparable? How do they size up? Thank you

    • @WPCrafter
      @WPCrafter  7 років тому +1

      I don't recommend using bold grid. Elementor is far superior. This is why in the different tutorial videos that I've created on setting up an account with InMotion hosting, I never show people how to install bold grid because it's just not that good. I mean it is good but there's better stuff out there.

    They look like good options but still a bit overpriced, even with the SSL certs - I have been with Media Temple for a few years, they have great support and I currently run 14 sites on there and I pay 20 bucks a month. Ok, they don't offer free SSL certs but still, better value I think.

    Hey Adam. Great vids, thanks for your hard work! Quick question for you. I was almost about to sign up with A2 hosting but decided to go with hostinger because it was less expensive. Hostinger offers a free SSL certificate with Let's Encrypt and the ability to add Let's encrypt to all future websites for free - but apparently I have to manually update the SSLs on the additional site. Wondering if you have an opinion/review on hostinger? I have 30 days to change to change my mind so if there are any red flags you can point out, I'd rather change to one of these three options. Thanks so much.

      @ronmiller7916 6 років тому

      Hmmm, just going thru InMotionHosting now and they say you need a static IP for SSL which costs $48/year so it isn't free there.

  • @Onewebstreet

    I've used all three and they all have their good points (and not so good ones), but they're all so much better than the EIG/GD crowd.
    I think your SSL comments in regard to Google are a little misleading. There isn't any data to support the fact that non-ssl websites (still) are being "penalised" in SERPs. If you said that Google looks favourably on a site having a correctly configured and installed SSL then I would agree with you.
    Plus, especially for us in Europe with GDPR coming in, there's going to be a higher concentration on businesses having an SSL so that the collection and communication of user data is secure.

    Hello,
    I haven't had any problems with HG, but I'm considering moving my ecomm site from them to IMH come renewal time or maybe sooner. I started with HG hatchling earlier this year, then changed to the baby cloud package. Neither package offers free ssl, and I'm not really sure about security of the cloud. Changing hosts makes me nervous, since I don't really understand it. Could I leave my domain name with HG, but host with IMH? My site is not developed yet; still very empty, so I think a change now would be better than later when it's built up. Right?

    So I'm not trashing but just sharing my experience.
    I currently have a Siteground Grow Big and some Reseller credits. By far, super easy to install LE SSL. As far as support, it amazes me how good it is, I can see why their hosting is more expensive than others.
    I literally just got an A2 reseller account few days ago. Support is helpful but not nearly as good as Siteground. But they do respond so that's a good thing. Unfortunately today was a bit of a let down. My reseller account went down, no biggie, because I can just submit a ticket and find out what's going on. Well, to my surprise, the A2 website was down also, it was showing the cloudflare popup websites show when their down. So there was no way to submit a ticket. Took about an hour or so for the site to come back up. Will let this one hiccup slide and keep on testing A2 for now.
    I definitely want to try out Inmotion hosting Adam, but over on the WP hosting group it doesn't get much love. But I guess I'll never know until I try.

    • @WPCrafter
      @WPCrafter  7 років тому

      Hey Luis, before I responded to your comment I wanted to join that Facebook group that you mentioned. So I joined it last night and took a look in the group today, I must say it's a great group. And I did see your specific comments in their about A2Hosting. Now I will say that it is not a comfortable feeling when your Webhost's own website has some downtime. It's easy to say this happens to all web hosts but even that comes across as kind of an excuse. I will say that the Webhost that you're praising and the Webhost thats praised a lot that Facebook group had downtime last month for over 15 minutes. All the accounts and their very own website, and you can verify this on Siteground's twitter feed. Now I didn't scroll back that far in the Facebook group to see if people in that Facebook group are talking about it, but people sure as heck were talking about it in other Facebook groups and it was on their own website. To Siteground's credit, the downtime was caused by denial of service attack. However I find that this is the typical reason given whenever there is downtime with any web hosting company. Anyways my point is that sometimes these things are out of anyone's control but one thing that is in their control is the quality of support they offer. And how helpful that support is, and that stinks to hear that they were not as helpful as you felt the should or could have been.
      Thanks for sharing your experiences here I'm sure they will be helpful to others.

    • @luisavila2988
      @luisavila2988 7 років тому +1

      Hey Adam, thanks for replying. I in no way meant to bash companies. I'm still going to give A2 a fair chance because I know this stuff happens. and yea Siteground did have downtime not long ago and I appreciate they kept customers updated. As for InMotion hosting, I actually chatted with them after I saw your video and asked about the SSL because that is the reason I'm looking for a reseller account. Their customer service was actually really good and they answered all my questions about their Free SSL. I even left a positive review for the guy that helped me. Anyways, thanks for the video.

    Do I need to purchase hosting for each website I buy? Or do I just purchase one hosting package and just point the DNS servers to my hosting account such as A2. Then do you ad Wordpress to each? Thanks

    • @WPCrafter
      @WPCrafter  6 років тому +1

      Each hosting account will have a limit on the number of websites, or be unlimited. So it would depend on the plan you choose. With A2 hosting they have the number of websites listed. And yes, you just point your DNS to the hosting companies DNS servers and they take care of the rest.

    • @scottfreedom2012
      @scottfreedom2012 6 років тому

      Thanks, I did get A2 through you had registered names through Namesilo and it has been 36 hours since I directed it to A2 and they are still not showing up on A2. Was thinking it was because I needed a host for each. Thanks!

    • @WPCrafter
      @WPCrafter  6 років тому

      DNS changes can take 24 - 48 hours, but it has more to do with your home router and computer. Also, did you add the domain names to your service on A2? It would be an add-on domain name.

    • @scottfreedom2012
      @scottfreedom2012 6 років тому

      I paid on the swift level hosting with unlimited websites. I also have a very fast router. DO I have to do more than just change nameservers to A2? I only have done that and nothing on the A2 website. My first website that I moved to A2 was done super fast but found a better name that I wanted to use and got that one at Namesilo and thought they would show up under A2 like the first one did. Like I said it's been over 36 hours when the first one showed up in less than an hour. Guess I just need to wait?

    • @WPCrafter
      @WPCrafter  6 років тому

      You have to add the domain name to your hosting account. Here are the instructions on their site www.a2hosting.com/kb/cpanel/cpanel-domain-features/addon-domains-and-parked-domains#Creating-an-addon-domain

    I have created couple of websites on Wordpress (with heavy plugins), however the hosting provider that I'm currently using is not good as the sites are running very slow due to the plugins installed. My question is- do u have an idea whether these hosting providers will be able to handle the load of the plugins on my Wordpress sites?

      @rohitrajani999 6 років тому +1

      I'm using Restaurant Reservations, hotel bookings, order online, Woocommerce, etc. If these plugins are already installed, and if I install additional plugins, will there be any issue with the performance of the site due to the hosting provider?

    • @WPCrafter
      @WPCrafter  6 років тому

      Ahh, well I think the slowdown from those is minor. It is more dependent on how much traffic and you should have a good caching solution in place.

      @@anina_net They all do. Now Sitegroud has its own tool for it to make it super easy. But they all will do migrations for you.

      @WPCrafter  7 років тому +3

      Yes I will definitely put out a tutorial video. It will hit all shared hosting accounts on the ninth of this month. So expect tutorial may be around the 15th.

    Does the inmotion SSL cert cover all subdomains on the account??

    • @WPCrafter
      @WPCrafter  7 років тому

      A subdomain is treated as a completely independent domain name. So what I think you're asking is if the SSL certificate is a wildcard certificate that would cover all subdomains. I'm not sure however you can add as many SSL certificates that you need, so you can add one to each subdomain. My guess is that it is not a wildcard SSL certificate. Let's encrypt doesn't offer wildcard SSL certificates as well. But it's just a few extra mouse clicks to get one for each of the subdomains that you may be using it.

    • @themedleb
      @themedleb 7 років тому +2

      I already asked them after knowing about the free SSL certificate a few days ago, they told me that the certificate will be available officially and for all customers until August 9, 2017 and it's going to be free for the plan life span.
      And i think it's going to cover the sub-domains too, since cloudflare supports it for free, all what you have to do is to add the domain name in the account and add the sub-domain in the DNS (in Cloudflare account).

    A2 swift vs turbo...
    Is it worth the extra $$$ to get turbo. I spoke with customer support and they couldnt specify what was best for site getting 4k uniques month, running wordpress/woocommerce.
    Any thoughts. Using slooooow arvixe shared and looking for much faster host. Speed is main concern...want the fastest host i can get for

      Yea Siteground is metered hosting. However, I don't think you will hit their limits. I always prefer to pay for good hosting. You can go without turbo, see how it goes, then upgrade if needed.

      100% because of some Google changes you HAVE TO HAVE and SSL certificate. If you don't all visitors using Google Chrome will get a big warning saying your website is not secure.

      Because it is easy to ignore it when you are just accessing your site each day, you tend to not think about the hosting!
