So we have a “winter home” in Queen Creek, AZ and a “Spring / Summer home” in the Black Hills of SD! Totally recommend. Allegiant flies out of Mesa Gateway for cheap straight to Rapid City. Our place is an hour drive from the airport. There’s lots to do, highs usually in the mid 70s and 80s in the summer, lots of lake days and water parks and fishing and live music ❤️ and then when it gets cold here we go to AZ whenever we want! 100000% recommend coming out here to visit! You’ll love it!

It’s so interesting to hear you say you’re miserable in the summertime in Arizona cause I live in Illinois and a lot of people I know have moved to Arizona because they are miserable in the winter here and want more heat all year round! Just kind of shows that the grass isn’t always greener! I’ve come to accept that no matter where you live there’s always gonna be like a month or two where you’re like stuck inside, and you have the right idea of just like living somewhere else for that month lol

I like how you pointed this out! My husband and I are always talking about moving to Arizona because we can’t stand this cold idaho weather. I even have said moving to Arizona would be good for my mental health as I get seasonal depression during the cold and gloomy months here. I had no idea people could get seasonal depression during hot weather as well.

@@KileanRodriguezAZ was too hot so we moved to Montana. It was too cold! So we moved to Tennessee, it’s just right! A little humid and sometimes buggy but not bad!! I truly believe every place has downfalls but even though Tennessee feels humid I’ve never felt more at home! Being away from family is hard but I love where we live!!

Kilean, you can get food poisoning anywhere! It’s not fair to put it all on Mexico. It could have just been the resort! I’m sorry you had to go through that though. Being sick when you have to parent is truly awful. Glad you’re doing better :) All-inclusive hotels in Mexico have Americanized food. Local restaurants is where to go!!! Also, I live in Chicago & we are miserable for winter months. There’s always a con to the location you’re at 😭

I had cryptosporidium (parasite) and it sounded EXACTLY like that. Lasted FOREVER. I am still have symptoms a year later. Literally about to do one of those crazy parasite cleanses.
I totally understand summer seasonal depression. I live in Florida but originally from PNW and summers are unbearable here. So humid, summer rain daily which makes it more humid, hurricane season, and high temps. It’s hard to be outside and not a lot to do indoors with the kids. I always feel out of it during the summers here.
It definitely depends which all inclusive you stay at. We stayed at a Secrets resort in Jamaica that was not great at all. When we went to Cancun we stayed at Excellence Playa Mujeres and it was amazing! I was beyond shocked at how great of a resort it was I felt like we significantly underpaid for the level of service/resort. I would highly recommend looking into their all inclusive resorts in the future if you’re open to it!

I potty trained my 3 boys exactly the same way you did too with going straight into undies, asking every 20 mins then giving an M&Ms if they did potty in the toilet. We were able to get them out of diapers over a weekend time frame.
Ummm you’re not a brat for being bummed about the food! One of mine and my husband’s favorite thing to do on vacation is try out yummy local restaurants.

Your not being negative. Your being real. Thank you! I am in the same phase of life and its hard at times. The lack of consistent sleep is insane. Just when you think you have a good routine. These babies and toddlers keep you on your toes. They change so much these 1st 5 years and needs us so much. It makes sense but that doesn't mean its not hard. My me time has dwindled so much and don't even ask the last time my husband and I went on a date. Its been almost 1 year...so sad. I miss time with him. Good on yall for getting our for a couples vacation. I hope to do that when I am done breastfeeding in a few more months❤️

In regards to seasonal depression it’s so interesting to hear it coming from someone who lives in a “hot” state. I would’ve never thought. I live in Colorado and I love that we get all seasons but I grew up in Oregon where it was gloomy and rainy 9mos out of the year. So here in Colorado the months I get depressed are December-April and it just feels like the longest winter being cooped inside as well. We have implemented going to Florida every March to help me with my seasonal depression. Don’t even get me started with the sleep issues. I have a 2.5 year old and for the past 7 months I have been sleeping in her bed because if not she doesn’t want to go down AND she wakes up every night at 2am and sometime will go back down or stay up for 1.5 hrs. Struggle bus over here.

Visit Prescott Valley Arizona! weather is lovely. We get all four seasons and summer is still enjoyable IMO. There's also lots of activities for families with children. Love your content. 🫶
My 2 year old son still has to be rocked to sleep for bed and most times it takes us at least 30 minutes each time. He also contact naps on us for every nap. Which knocks out any outside help giving me a break. I couldn’t make it without my hubby. I have no clue how to stop procrastinating and start training him to sleep more independently. So I feel ya girl. We parents have a hard go. I pray your littles will continue to be better at their sleeping 🙏🏻💗
Did you hold him constantly as a baby?
@@RaqMor13 Yea he had colic and wouldn’t let us put him down. He had to sleep on my chest constantly. Thankfully I was able to get him to sleep at night in his crib but we still have to rock him beforehand.

While I was pregnant we had to have a repair done on our dryer and the repair tech warned me we should always wash baby/toddler socks in a delicates bag because they are so small they can get sucked up in the vent.
We haven’t lost one yet. I keep a bag attached to his hamper with clothespins and just zip it up and pop it in the wash when I do a load.
So So happy you are back! Proud of you for taking the time to heal & rest. Also the things you pick out for your kiddos are DARLING! So freaking cute! Love the vaseline trick, no idea why I stopped doing it as it really is nice + I hateee taking off mascara at the end of the day.
Not sure how north you want to go but if you want true north, Wisconsin's Door County is the sweetest county ever! Amazing food, weather (in the summer), people, activities for the kids, outdoor activities, etc!

I also get the Arizona summer depression!! Especially with kids, loading, unloading, bringing things in and out. My legs quite literally feel like they’re melting off putting my kids in the car seats🫠

I 100% feel the same way in the summer! I’m in Texas and it’s the exact same here where it’s too hot to be outside and not be in the water, and as a SAHM with a 4 and 2 year old it’s not a good recipe some days 🥲 I fixate on moving from June-September yearly 🤪 I’ve found doing play dates either inside your house or another friends house are so helpful. You have company and your kids are entertained while not having to endure the heat.
Also my 2 year olds sleep is the EXACT same as Ekkos right now. Went from being the best sleeper to fighting naps and bedtime every day 🫠 hang in there girl you’re not alone in it!!! 🫶🏻

You should try western Washington or Northern idaho (coeur d’alene) for summers!! It’s soo nice, still warm enough to swim but the highest it gets is like 100 once or twice during the summer!!

We have lived in southern Florida for two summers and I agree, the summer heat is miserable. I have 3 toddlers and 9 month old twin girls. We are moving to a cooler state soon and I’m really looking forward to it. 🤍
I moved around a year ago to the Northeast from Florida and it’s literally life changing. You can always put on more layers if you’re cold, but if you’re too hot it’s just miserable!
