My husband and I read a book during our pre marriage counseling and it talked about love banks. Basically everyone has a love bank. Everything you do either adds or subtracts from that love bank. Kiss on the cheek = add. Dishes done = add. Something’s add more than others. It’s been a helpful visual for me to stop and think if I’m adding or subtracting to my husband’s love bank. It helps me be more thoughtful and think less of myself in the moment.
You talking about how your husband helps you when he works from home feels so validating! My husband is always so willing to help and I feel like I don't see that happen very often. So grateful for our situation and it's nice to see others in our situation 💛
I really love how you talk about having a healthy body and not looking a certain way. I’m sad that you had to go through hardships regarding your body image but the way you talk about it now is really inspiring!
Yes!!! These were all great points I’ve been doing the same. Working out, getting ready for the day, having my time and girls nights have been amazing. Thanks for sharing ❤
Thanks so much for this video! There’s a lot of nuggets of wisdom here. I’m feeling in the thick of it with a 25 month old and 4 month old. My husband went away for 2 months for military training when our baby was still a newborn and then we moved, so everything is feeling a little overwhelming and I’m starting to feel myself slipping into bad habits again where I neglect my needs and treat my body poorly. This is a good reminder to make myself a priority again for everyone’s sake ❤️ I particularly love what you said about eating well and endless scrolling and things you do to mitigate that. If you can speak on that more in the future, I’m sure it’ll be helpful to a lot of moms out there!
I really needed this video❤🥹 I’ve been feeling just so burnt out, stressed and yucky about myself lately. Thank you for your wisdom and feeling like a friend, truly means the world! 💞
wow you sold me on the pique matcha.. if i had never tried it before i would def buy a bunch but unfortunately i have tried it and still have tons left because its not the best quality. it tastes fine, but theres much superior quality ceremonial grade matcha in the market.
prioritizing your marriage is way hard when you have children. I feel my partner and I try but it's just impossible. I feel so distant and disconnected from him and I don't think he thinks the way we do as far as wanting to also put effort in without being told. Also, can we talk sex, I am tired and over touched sometimes and then to have your man think about his wants and needs sexually without even asking you how you're doing or just simple affection without it turning into sex is just beyond. Sometimes I feel I made a mistake getting married and having children because no one talks about how much moms are unappreciated, overwhelmed, and expected to be the glue to a family when the man doesn't have it the same. (sorry for the vent session, and I do love my kids)
@@Kaedence-x5n I hear you & this is so valid. I try my best to communicate in a kind&understanding way when I am feeling under appreciated, over stimulated, etc and it seems to help me feel heard and seen. It is extremely hard but I try my best to remember it’s a season but also that my marriage deserves the same amount of energy and shouldn’t be the last thing I put focus to each day. I hope that makes sense 🥲 you’re not alone!!
Hi Kilean! I always love watching your videos discussing how you prioritize yourself in motherhood. I have a 2 year old and a 4 month old so that “find your season” quote really hits home. I’m definitely trying to find ways to prioritize myself but it’s been hard. One of the areas I struggle with is finding friends. I moved here last may from NY and have 0 friends here so it gets really lonely and since I wfh I don’t really know how to meet other moms so hopefully I can figure that out soon and can find a small group of friends to build a social support system out here
@@gabriellailene hi girlie!!! Thank you for being here 🥲 I’m so sorry it’s been hard to meet other mom friends!! I swear social media is the best way to connect and kind get to know someone before you actually meet them. Also joining classes, going to the park/playplaces splash pads & trying to be super friendly helps me as well!! I always ask for an insta insteaad of phone number, it feels less personal but then I can chat there more causally! Hope this helps ❤️
Thank you for mentioning which sports bras or good and bad for nursing! I’m 5 weeks postpartum and the girls are HUGE 😂 Finding gym clothes that fit has been a struggle lol
Do you have a recommendation on how you went about “finding what you like” as far as moving your body. I can never stay on a workout routine because I hate working out, I also hate the muscle pain in the following days. So I always fall off after a couple weeks.

I do the same thing with most of what you said! The TV show after nap, the diaper bag. This is real motherhood, not something to feel guilty about!
Oh Kilean! I am 63 years old. Even though I am not a mom, what you have shared is amazing and motivating! Thank you!😊

I could have written this myself!
Couldn’t have said it better. I barely have energy to look after myself. I embrace my alone time when I can get it.
I could have written this too. My husband and I are like passing ships in the night. It’s a really hard season x

Satiate?
It means you’re full/satisfied from a meal.
