excellent late game by russia, very well played with the mind games. I understand grogu's hesitation because if he pushes those 2 blockhouses 20 strelets and 2 falcs could pop out and wipe u. but instead he goes industrial! the cav switch was chef's kiss.
I think playing the long game, or at least a short delay, as Russia is actually really fun. I have done the Strelets to Rekrut and Rekrut to Northern Musketeer build a few times now and got some surprising results (the Northern Musketeer - Tsar Cannon combo can hit HARD)
Their biggest military bonus is sucking all of the capital/money & general resource control at the top. Makes conscription seem better to the average citisen.
One thing to add Lion, regarding the pronounciation of Mansabdar, you nail the pronounciation except the fact that you miss the d. Pronounce the d and it will be perfect.
I would love to see a Sri Lankan civ in aoe 3 (i am sri lankan) we got crazy historical lore and literally a suicide squad in our history against colonizors that would make banger units for the game like.

can anyone explain why most of the high ranking players builds walls without the pillars the just leave small gaps is to save wood and disrupt vision of the enemy player?
Yeah just to save the wood for the pillars. DOn't quote me on that, but I think it's 5 wood per pillar. Also I think if you target a pillar, you destroy the 2 wall sections around it.
Too much hesitation with the units by GroGu. So many times he pulled back just when he had the edge over the russia guy.. Terrible micro too... Man that was painful to watch!
Lion, I wish you would change 2 settings: 1. Add resource rates to show how quickly the gather rate is 2. Home city background should be the game rather than the home city
@@lionheart9015 you can disable showing the 3D home city in DE that appears when clicking the home city flag, so it'll instead be an overlay on top of the game instead of a separate menu. You can see Widgie have the setting on for reference. It is pretty useful as a DE setting even though Legacy players aren't gonna be used to it.
Shocking that a player like Grogu is not upgrading siege ele to age IV which is much cheaper then other age IV upgrades (250c, 250w)
Industrial Russia is also funny with the card that allows your muskets to build forts

Have you tried the Bashkir archers? I build a bunch of cossacks and then send the card and suddenly I have decent calvary to support my strelet spam.

but you wouldnt build them against musk falc. Wouldnt be worth. the switch was so smart

Imo ive had success with Russia going age 1 900 food ageup into double blockhouse ff/fi shipping the card that lets blockhouses make falcs.
