Hogarth is too underrated by the mainstream as a singer and frontman. This is sublime from the whole band. It's a joy to see and hear X.
This music reaches in, grabs your soul and squeezes it until you experience the most powerful high ever. There simply are not enough superlatives to describe Marillion.

What baffles me is that The Beatles never come up in these lists. Under all the instrumental layers, Hogarth is an extremely orthodox pop songwriter in the Liverpudian tradition. And I mean that in the best possible way.

Marillion is one of the most underated bands of the world, this song is so sublime, a real homage to their music played in front of a crowd.

I want to upvote this 1000 times but I only have two UA-cam accounts. To perform this well live, no auto tune, not a wrong note, is simply sublime. I'm a Marillion fan forever now. Each and every one of them are incredible musicians. I would sell my soul to be half as talented as just one of them.

MARILLION was one of the top bands in the Cruise to the Edge 2014, a Cruise with the most outlandish line up of prog rock bands you can imagine. The big name was Yes, but by far Marillion performance was one of the best of the whole bunch... and they close with this song.... it was a religious experience....
IF this and so many other Marillion masterpieces like Fantastic Place, Power, Oceans Cloud, Invisible Man, Neverland, Splittering Heart etc I could go on for a long time but this band doesn't move you inside Your simply all dead inside.

It took a long time of hearing and loving this band that I finally decided that the new Marillion is a better band than the old one. This is the song that convinced me. Pure genius!

I'm listening to the lyrics while in lockdown. Marillion concerts are currently unimaginable because of the pandemic. The song lyrics has now become a very special - almost visionary - meaning and gives me a chill. It's good to be a Marillionair.

This was their opening song in their first concert after the pandemic. Phenomenal song by a brilliant band.
Love the visual of the lack of people with their phones off. Everyone just enjoying the moment.
They do ask at the beginning of the concert usually if you can keep mobiles to a minimum. As this was at a Marillion Weekend, essentially a convention where they play 3 different sets over 3 nights, they usually record a couple of the nights and sll the DVDs on the web site. They hold The Guiness Book of Records record for the fastest music DVD (filming to release) of 10 hrs 31 mins.

Hogarth a volte scrive in modo molto simile, e c'è lo stesso connubio di ricerca della miniatura pop e della canzone "sperimentale" (almeno nel senso di giocare con suoni che si sentono circolare in un dato momento).
Brave (il finale del disco omonimo) a me fa pensare a Mercy Street.
