    Looking forward to this! I just hope the point tallying at the end of the game isn't too much of a nightmare

    Really hoping my friends watch this video cause this is going to be difficult to explain when compared to OG boss monster lol

      We've found that new players jump in quickly when they hear, "Every turn you just draft one tile-and-token pair to build your map." As different terrain types come up, you can explain how they're scored. When a Portal comes up, you can explain that it lets you move or swap two Monsters. The rest is just optimization!

      @@BrotherwiseGames it gives me a Tiny Towns vibe which is very good as that game is a huge hit in my family. I only worry the monsters on top of the tiles might be confusing at first, but I'm sure they will catch on :) So looking forward to receiving my KS copy!

    This is a much, much better _game_ than OG Boss Monster.

    So is there a limit on your lair? As in only 6 tiles?!? Or only 3 portals and 2 crystals and the minion spot, as per the graphic?!? Or just unlimited! I havent seen a rule saying a limit so thats what im going with till there is a clarification.

      There is no limit to the number of tokens you may hold in your lair. Just keep in mind that anytime you end a turn with an open (non-Dungeon) terrain tile, if you have a Monster token in your lair, you must move it to your map. How do you get crystals thought I don't believe it ever said to add those in when talking about set up.

    • @BrotherwiseGames
      @BrotherwiseGames  2 роки тому

      They are added to the bag at the same time the monster tokens are, and placed in your lair when drawn.

    When is the release date for the game?

    • @BrotherwiseGames
      @BrotherwiseGames  3 роки тому +2

      Overboss is coming in February! The official US release date is February 17, but nationwide shipping delays are unusually prevalent right now, so it's possible that date will slip slightly.

    It looks simple than the card game.

    • @BrotherwiseGames

      When played with just the core rules, it's very simple/accessible (age graded 8+ versus 13+ for Boss Monster). When you add in the advanced rules, it's still easy to learn and teach but the optimization decisions and tactical choices get more brain-busting. A great game to introduce non-gamers to the hobby!
