Hai Duaa Yaad Magar Harf e duaa yaad nahin, Mere Naghmat ko Andaaz e Navaa yaad nahin...So very true that we remember the prayer, but tend to forget the wisdom or the profundity of the words in the prayer.....A beautiful ghazal with heart touching lyrics written by Saghar Siddiqui Ji....Main ne Palkon se Dar e Yaar pe dastak dii hai, Main vo Saa-il huuN jisei koii sadaa yaad nahin ...Sung as melodiously and soulfully by Ghulam Ali ji, in his divine voice and inimitable style, touching our heart strings.... Zindagi jabr e musalsal ki tarah kaati hai, Jaane kis jurm ki paayi hai Sazaa yaad nahin....Very heart rending poetry....Soul stirring rendition and music.. Tabla played by Tari Khan was phenomenal, enhancing the beauty of the lyrics and the rendition..He is undoubtedly an exceptional Tabla vaadak, plays with perfection, spell binding the listeners...Thanks, Suman ji, for giving us the pleasure of listening to such a rare gem...Another one of your lovely uploads...Stay blessed always.!

What's so special with Ustad Ghulam Ali Saab is the fact that he can unleash the tragic and romantic nuances of the Urdu couplets with equal proficiency ! Perhaps, that might be one of the major reasons as to how he could offer such epoch - making masterpieces at regular interval !
While the great Mehdi Hassan Saab was instrument in the revival, ascendence, and further flourish of the art of ghazal gayiki, as a 'semi - classical music form' and in catapulting it into the present level of much wider acceptance across the globe, Ustad Ghulam Ali Saab has cemented its future ! After the sad demise of the great Khan Saab, the mantle of carrying forward this glorious journey has fallen squarely on the safe shoulders of Ustad Ghulam Ali Saab !
