Great video! We met Fabian & Isabella during our trip through Baja, they are truly amazing people. I can say that Baja is definitely a place for EV's and rigs like theirs. So many places to explore. Aside from Bosco peeing on all of our tires, we had a great time traveling with them, lol!

I understand your frustraition; but we dont have any backstory n the How this couple is able to do this extended traveling. I personally have been saving almost my entire life so that I can retire and do something similar. Maybe not nearly as extravagant as this as I dont want to travel the world but I do intend to live fully on the road. It has taken me years upon years of hard work saving and being very very frugal not spending and cutting my expenses until I only have Needs and have completely forgotten about my wants. Every extra penny I save for my future. You would be amazed at what you could accomplish if you had a plan of action and stuck to saving for a few years just how much money that you could save up not eating out, staying home cutting all your expenses. I have forgotten about being jealous of anyone and now focus upon planning and preparing for my own adventures. Kudos to this couple, they do seem like genuine considerate people. That in the end is all that matters, not if you are rich or poor; but how we treat each other !

There was already one reply, but you can find quite a few suppliers of these tires from military surplus dealers. Some are 100% new, for which you pay a premium, but there are also many with slight wear (85% or better of tread remaining) at a significant discount. Google "military surplus tires" or search eBay for "Michelin XZL" in your size.
I have watched so many of the OB vids, this was one of my favorites. Cheers.

Hi from England , there’s a company here in England , withams , if you google them it comes up as www.modsales , they are the official British military surplus outlet for vehicles , they often have those Michelin tyres up for sale on their auction site , I’m pretty sure they can ship anywhere mite be worth a look and may well be cheaper than new shipped in from Germany , good luck on your travels

I've been driving an Atego since 2011, not super convinced of the reliability.
Tell them to keep plenty of spare 4wd solenoids they fail a lot and you can be stuck somewhere in AWD, which is pretty useless. The big super single tyres are a great idea because my truck was let down a lot by the skinny road tyres. The position of the air box (plastic) under the front is useless, very easy to break. The lights are as bright as a candle, so lucky they got the spotties. Mine is 12 ton and with the Terex ewp on, 4.3m high.
Got to be careful with lots of idling too. Only truck I know that gets a lot of diesel bypassing the rings and filling up the oil, we get a lot of overfull oil warnings. Can't be good for the lubrication to be diluting the oil with water.
And the front cv broke, $8000 Australian just for the part, be very wary of coming onto hard surfaces with the centre or front diff lock on.
Man, you got some money. That vehicle is well over 200k.

Problem though is that we can’t buy a brand new one. I wonder if you know anyone who’s planing to sell theirs preowned rig like yours? We’re in Canada but don’t mind to travel anywhere to buy one and start our traveling right from that spot. We would really appreciate your help.

I dont want to ruin it for you but honestly guys... How often are you really going off the road with that? And how often do you really need to do that? Permanent 4x4 and 18L of gas per 100km is just rediculous. Im afraid this will become a mainstream thing just like the SUVs in our cities. Just imagine massive amounts of people cruising the planet in their 18L expedition RVs... As if climate change wasnt bad enough already.
