- Big thanks to the Adams overland company for getting me to tag along to fix this awesome motor and get a full interview and tour with Ollie Ollerton
What a rare vehicle to camper convert.
This originally was a 6x6 ambulance that is now a campervan that the whole family can get fully off grid in.

What a walk around, it’s been a pleasure to work on this vehicle! We can’t wait to get it up to the workshop soon for even more mods 🔥
Thanks for the invite and exiting projects to come.
I’ve done the pimp my ride over landing thing in the past, but now my kids have grown up and have their own lives, I have gone back to basics. I love my road legal quad living here in mid Wales. I park up in the forest just off to the side of the Strata Florida or Sarn Helen and sling my hammock and tarp up and watch the weekend adventure boys go by without them having a clue I’m watching them. I’m more at one with nature and from a personal perspective the more luxury you have the more sanitary the experience and I feel more at one with nature listening to the environment that surrounds me. I do a bit of fishing, get my twig stove on the go and feel safe in the knowledge that nobody has a clue I’m there.😊
Nobody cares.
Cool
Thank you Rich & Ollie for the verbal and visual peregrination. imo simplicity is the key when overlanding. 👍
Glad you enjoyed pal
Yes boys. I know there has been some effort put in to this badger. Excellent vid mate.
Thank you very much.
I built a tiny home trailer I can move with a truck. Seemed like the best option to get everything I wanted with the lowest budget. I’ve been living inside it full time for 8 months now.
Nice one
So true about the people you pay to look after your vehicle. If they see it as "your problem,😢" then that is exactly what it is.
The truth is that until you have turned every nut and bolt yourself, you can't be confident in it.
I have learned most things the hard way, thank god I have good friends around me when the sh*t hits the fan.
Really good video, cracking rig and Ollie seems like the kind of guy you could easily have a chat and a brew with.
Yes mate he’s very humble and one of the lads.

We built our ExpeditionVehicle with a rear entry.
We like the visual and visceral sense of openness.
.
With a side entry, your sight-lines end at the cabinet or toilet opposite the door.
Inevitably, some nation has right-hand drive (RHD) with traffic in the left lane, putting the entry out into traffic.
Great video, amazing vehicle 👏
Thank you
Great watch and a great walk around top vid again rich 👍
Thank you very much.
Absolutely superb episode Rich 👏
Thank you. It’s very much appreciated.
That's some bit of kit must have been great getting to meet ollie aswell 🤙🏻🏴
Yes mate. Very chilled and funny guy.
That’s a nice bit of kit now it’s been sorted properly plus mr Ollerton seems a proper sound guy!
100% mate.
That’s a lovely machine that is. Got everything you could possibly need. Also bang on with the fact that get someone professional to do things that can cause and issue as in electrical stuff as last thing you want is it going up while you are asleep. Spot on thanks for sharing dude. All the best dude
Ah mate the list of stuff that wasn’t right was unreal. Good job liams got pics and video of it all if anyone questions him.
Fantastic content & a huge thanks to Ollie for the entertaining & informative walk round. Seems not that long ago that he got the Pinz & got it converted but shame he's having so many problems. Hope he gets it sorted soon & back out adventuring. Thanks for my Pinz fix Rich!😂
Thanks pal.
Liams got it back on the road now so adventures to come.
Great entertainment Rich, and an absolutely fantastic vehicle.
Thank you 🙏
There’s a few of these converted. A mate of mine has one, and has done winter trips to north of the arctic circle. Awesome bit of kit. And, this one has had a shed load of cash spent on it!
Thanks for the comment.
I quite like Ollerton's car setup. He has tons of experience as a Special Forces Operator and that experience paid off. Definitely, it's not an annoying UA-camr's van trying to mimic a real house.
😂😂😂 don’t you like all the wood batton walls and roofs 😂😂😂 thanks pal
Great vid Rich, can't wait to see more
Thank you. I think the next one is a Daf tour.
Great video mate, well done really good tour and presentation
Thanks bro.
Great vid bud loved that walk around. Great looking vehicle too.
Thank you very much
Awesome walk round Ollie 🤟 what a fkn gold nugget of a BOB. I’m going back to a more utilitarian vehicle now as I have got sick of the bells n whistles sounding off every five minutes. Have to say Solar in the northern hemisphere ??? Having pissed off to Straya 12 years ago I spend 3-4 weeks out bush at a time and solar rocks. All the best both from Aussie Viking 💪🏴🇦🇺
Fair one. Solar is touchy up this way but you just end up with bigger panels to still get power in winter
Such a small tank on these would definitely need to put in a LR tank to bring it to at least 150 litres. Same with the water don’t want all the weight up high . This looks good but some bits are definitely impractical
They did make a 140L fuel tank for Pinzgauers, not to many knocking about but not impossible to find. We normally fabricate new stainless one up however
@@TheAdamsOverlandCompany that would be a great mod , thanks for taking the time to reply
@@darrenhale6320 any time dude, I enjoy this kind of comment, it inspires genuine thought 🔥
Thanks for posting, 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼🤙🏼🤟🏼🖖🏼🇳🇿
Glad you enjoyed it and I hope you are well.
@@Bugoutvehiclesuk 🤔 if $$$ was not a problem could one swap out the running gear for a busted up 6x6 so on road would be better, have seen in hot rod side one putting in all the comforts of new vehicle, probably find one off them Mercedes 6x6
Cracking build! Stay safe atvb 👍🦊
Thanks pal. Glad you enjoyed

2003, we engineered our ExpeditionVehicle with zero cabinets above waist-level.
We prefer the visual and visceral sense of openness.
Fair one. It’s definitely a good spot for light weight items tho.
Id like a top one above my bed at the foot end as it’s dead space. But I suppose that’s out of view so not an issue.
These things are the next progression for campers 😂
It’s a hard one. Iv done the slow extreme off road one now and I’m spoilt with the van. I will have to see what the lorry can do.
@@Bugoutvehiclesukthat’s what Pinzgauer is for. Fast, extreme off roading 😈
Great video & wow what a vehicle! Ollie seems like a really cool bloke too, I reckon you could take him though Rich 😉😆🤣
Thanks pal.
Great Video Rich😊 now back on catching up on your videos 😮
Thanks pal
I like it. I really do like it. Personally, I would like to have a private toilet space inside. That space would ideally also be able to wash one's body if no facilities were close by. For legal reasons of registering as a leisure vehicle, I would also need to have (but not necessarily want) a sink and a fixed cooker of some kind. An onboard toilet is something that I don't have in my caravan, but having stayed somewhere last year where there was a bear alert and bear fireworks being set off not 5 metres from my caravan, the trek to the toilet in the middle of the night was done with much caution! The bear problem has become quite an issue with 'urban bears' now part of everyday vocabulary. (Country is Japan)
Fair one. Iv got a toilet and kitchen space in mine and I try not to use them but every now and then they do come in.
If I’m ever interrogated by this guy, I will just remember his sandals 😂😂
😂 😂 what ever turns you on.
You know what I mean? I mean, you know? 😂 I lost count.. 😂 jokes a side, great bug out vehicle! Nice tour, good camera and audio work. Not to long and still I feel like I've seen all the details. 👍🏼 Keep it up! Just bring the DAF back already...😢
😂 I want to get the Daf out believe me. Until some one will sort the sub chassis there is no point as I want to hit it in a run of vids.
@@Bugoutvehiclesuk Yeah, subchassis is quite an important choice to make! And if you don't get or know what you want it's not an easy fix after the fact. How much travel you need to have on the springs of the subchassis and how to attach the fixed point where it pivots... You need someone with experience. I'm from the Netherlands so that makes the DAF even cooler! Here I would know who to send you to for that subchassis (even on a budget). I've helped on a Mercedes 1120 4x4 (German fire truck)
If you need inspiration there is this massive meet in Germany. Willys Fernreisemobiltreffen. It's mainly truck based overland vehicles but If it has wheels and is meant to travel with, you will find one there!
Nice to see you doing well. You will get to it. I'm sure!
@@BenVeenstra to be fair I can copy my friends Daf he’s done a good job of it. I’ll be doing a video on it soon.
@@Bugoutvehiclesuk looking forward to it 👍🏼! I can imagine that filming all the details and telling a fun to watch story is a challenge 😄
Chad as ya dads phys rig
😂😂😂
BLACK! Perfect color for Sevilla in. August.
It’s grey but I suppose some ppl have nothing positive to say 😂
The vectors in Afghanistan which is this basically the same we used to put sausage rolls and pasty’s under cover n the engine / transmission tunnel get them nice and warm .
A lot more room in this one tho. The vector is the same underneath but this has an upgraded engine and isn’t weighed down with all the armour.
We did the same with the Jackals 😂 have lads top flapping domino pizzas to reheat 😂
Great conversion, Ollie didn't show where the rack is for his weapons, no gun mounts on top lol
😂😂😂😂 he did actually show a few other bits but they got cut.
?Do you have the firepower to keep it one TSHTF?
So when does the Pinz build start?
😂😂😂 the daf needs to come first.
@@Bugoutvehiclesuk I was wondering about that but I didn’t like to ask. Hopefully an update soon!
Nice build, but how do you get out of that Island?
You must be American with that generic response like that 😂😂
You inflate the tyres to 80psi and swim it across… you’ll be over taken by a couple of ferry’s but my dogs best mate - the fish said it’s do-able
Can I get one with left hand drive for the US? What would be the cost?
Plenty of left hand drives and different body styles and prices vary depending on year engine and body style. Speak to @theadamsoverlandcompany

What's always forgotten in these walkthroughs on builds, is; what purpose are they built! This is a weekend warrior. Not believing in showers and toilets makes you dependent on a bucket and petrol stations. not a fulltime living. What I do love about this one, is the lack of tech. Too many of these trucks are built for when if Armageddon happens. It's silly.
What amazes me is there are actually ppl that click on a video to find as much stuff as they can to bitch about and pick fault. Lucky there are plenty of ppl out there that actually respect the time and money that’s gone into the build and the making of the vid. Hopefully you have a better day 😂
@@Bugoutvehiclesuk I think the channel name of "Bugoutvehicles" says it all really. It's not about using/having or building something with a 240v hook-up, shower, toilet, microwave, fully functioning kitchen, vanity mirror and hairdryer, it's about having something that can get you from A to B, over any terrain and you can live in/out of as long as needed. Otherwise, you'd buy a Caravan or Winnebago. This vehicle was built to be minimalistic, meaning less to go wrong. Or maybe I just totally misread the statement.🤔
Overland vehicles and full time living vehicles are two completely different boxes of frogs.
05:32
What motorcycle is that?
Thornton Hundred, Triumph Bobber 🔥
How much is that thing worth?😅
It’s a hard one to put a number on. There are a lot of subtle but expensive upgrades.
Nineteen dollars and ninety-five cents.
you do know you are in the uk where the fuck are you going to go the uk is tiny
Not as small as Ireland tho is it Irish Simon 😂😂😂😂
Suppose we could all go hang out in ya mum Simon
@@Bugoutvehiclesuk lovely camper you need to do a world tour in that
If only Ollie had a budget that meant he didn’t have to stay in the UK 😂
I wish someone had told me I just needed to stay in the UK before I visited 32 countries in my vehicle, would have been a lot easier.
What a waste of time, talkfest for 18 plus minutes, hardly showed us anything of value
😂 yet your the only one crying because you think everyone makes videos just for you and you didn’t get exactly what you wanted.😂 I’ll stand by for an example of how to make a proper vid on your channel.
@@Bugoutvehiclesuk It is great to see your a bigger enough man😂😂😂 to take constructive criticism
I’ve literally no idea what else you could have wanted from a walk around video 🤔
@Matt,
Agreed.
All the components and procedures could be covered in sixteen minutes... easy.
@@largemarge1603 Absolutely, that would have been valued information
