Thank you sir. Iam from Turkey. Our mechanics are reliable engine slayers. My cars compression was 120 120 120 120. They said valves were turning around. It was rock solid and ıt can hold performance driving. They use a iron cutter and broke flat surface of engine block. Now my car gives compression to coolant hose.
I didn't made this compression test on my m111.956 but removed the intercooler and spilled some oil. You've mentioned that there shouldn't be any oil from the air intake up until the intake manifold but, the oil separator, if not cleaned regularly, does notbuild up oil from the recirculated vapors comming out from the engine? I'm asking this because I find it quite logic. Best regards and thanks for your vids, they're very very useful. Thumbs up!
Nice informative video..thank you. I did this test a week ago on engine M111.960 (E220 W124) ,I forgot to do the test with throttle wide open (is this necessary?) the readings were : 130 110 130 120 ....are these acceptable? what are the stock compression for this engine model?
I suppose it's a gasoline engine , the compretion ratio is 1:9 on . So if you multiply 9 × 14.7 (atmosferic pressure ) = 132 psi it should be acceptable even with the 110 psi ( although not the best )
Buenas noches amigo buen video, tengo un c230 kompressor y la compresión que me da es 90 psi en cada cilindro. No veo falta de potencia, no bota humo, no consume anticongelante… es normal???
Hello can i contact you by WhatsApp or any other way to send you a video for this test and ask you if the result is good or not please because in my country there's no one to do this i have the same car so please let me contact you I suffering from oil in the AIR MASS FLOW SENSOR and i want to know if it's from the pcv valve or it's from the engine
check if there is low compression ; try to record the gauge while doing so , replay the footage and see how much the needle is raising when the cylinder moves first time . You might wanna check also if the spark plug is creating the spark proportional with the engine speed : remove the coilpack , remove the spark plug ( both from cylinder 3) , connect the spark plug on the coilpack -but outside of the cylinder so you can see the spark in a safe place , and connect the threads of the spark plug to the ground ( negative terminal of the battery) .Than start the car and you should see the spark on/off rapidly , proportional with the engine RPMs .
If there is really no compression at all , either the gauge is broken or there are serious internal damages in the engine , like broken piston rings / valves / cracked engine block

That's sad to hear , hopefully u can do most of the work yourself in the future
ALWAYS MAKING USEFUL VIDEOS 👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾
Keep up the good work
Thanks

Thank you for very useful video. I have a question, what proper compression for this type of engine?
Great job 👍
Thanks for the visit

But what is the issue with the car ?

I have Mercedes see 200 compressor and won’t start and I check the compression all four cylinders Are zero compression what that could be
Indian ChrisFix? 🤔
I have a misfire on cylinder 3 an I'm going to do this compression test on it but what should I look for ? Thanks

@@doit_vehicles thank you I will try today
every other tutorial says the engine should be at operating tempreture
if there is a compression leak it will be even more obvious on a " cold engine "
