Hey, thank you for taking the time to do this review I'm looking at a couple of different reveal tactacam trying to make up my mind. And, I appreciate you showing me that the smaller solar panel can be fit on the regular SK. That helps me make a decision to get two. Once again thank you for the effort you put into making this video I appreciate it.
Great cams. The solar panels are useless that come with the cam. Average about 2 pictures per day of solar current pull. The larger panel is the way to go. Making the xb the best model.
With the large solar panel do you need batteries at all or can be empty? I have the XB and was upset seeing the SK online with the solar panel, was disappointed but after seeing this glad I can go with the larger panel
You need batteries to close the circuit for the solar panel to connect to the camera. For example my batteries are dead but my solar panel still runs the camera. If that makes sense.
My SK takes more than 30 - 40 pictures a day (18,345 pics in 14 months)with the small solar panel for over 14 months. The only time I've opened the door is to get the card. Got to be smarter than what you're working with!
@@TripleRwoods are you having photos send instantly or like twice daily? - I just got two SKs and I’m working on which settings are best. I like the instant because I know what’s there right now, but the camera than doesn’t take pictures for about 2 minutes because it’s sending the photos. Twice daily is nice because I’m getting more photos, yet I feel like I’m still not getting ALL the photos.
@@Ryan_Pitts I'm currently using instantly, I like to know what is there at that moment, but yes if I told it to transmit twice daily I would get a few more pics instead of it transmitting.
I’ve got 7. Haven’t had any issues with that. Make sure the card isn’t backwards or turned around. If that’s not the issue then I would contact reveal and they should fix it for you.

are you putting the integrated camera onto an X or an XB?

@@TripleRwoods Thanks, yes that makes sense!
Picture quality better than the X??
Lots of variables there but id say the XB and SK are prob better quality pictures. But when you request HD pics I get great pictures on all of them.

What settings are you running for your SK?
Flash power high, settings check instant, 10 sec video, 24mp pics, delay off, night mode min blur

Instantly will use more battery too, but so far it hasn't affected it.
Can you change from pic to video from phone
Yes
Anybody else have a issue with inserting the SD card? Mine isn't locking in...

Might try other brand sd cards and make sure it’s not the card itself.
@@TripleRwoods I definitely have it the right way ,but will try to get ahold of the company...thx for the feedback!
