Sorry you had to deal with that negativity! There seems to be a lot of righteousness on social media about having debt. It’s okay not to aggressively pay it down at the expense of all other priorities.
It’s completely up to the individual what to do with their finances but I for one agree with your more balanced and sustainable approach of paying off debt while also investing for the future and enjoying life.

Congrats! The nerve of the person to tell you you can't invest and have debt. As you said, investing is about how long you've been doing it....long term vs short term. Continue to do what you're doing. I have a small amount of debt and I do the same as well.
Sounds like a Dave Ramsey follower smh.
