Ar tonelico as a whole needs to remaster it for current gen consoles. I have played all four games, 1, 2, qoga(3) and this one and would love to see and play it all again in HD
I played the Ar Tonelico trilogy, loved it, and somehow didn't know this game existed until a few months ago. I bought it blind, knowing nothing but that it was a "spiritual successor" to the Ar Tonelico games. I doubted it could capture the magic of the Ar Tonelico games, but when this opening started, with the computer code aesthetic, the "project [insert game name]" logo, and the music that sounded right at place in Ar Tonelico openings, I knew this was going to be Ar Tonelico 4 in all but name (and I guess setting). And I was right. Such a good game. I'd still like to see more Ar Tonelico, but if you keep making Ciel games, and they stay as true to Ar Tonelico as Ar Nosurge did, it's all good.
GUST need bigger budget, remake this game and includes Ciel Nosurge together and release it on PS4. The story is great, but from the gameplay alone it's obvious they are making this on a very small budget.

Still, the story still shows it's like Iris will die if she make the wish to Escalario. And that part of the story is really sad and hit the feel for me It' s really a pity they didn't make extra story to save Iris. Instead, they just made it she somehow survive and live
Diving doesn't get really explained here, even though it does shed some light in several of EXA_PICO's concepts and history. However, it does introduce an inconsistency with previous worldbuilding materials by having Shurelia be present in a time era where she shouldn't be even be created yet: the Forest of Shelanoir and Syestine were destroyed in the same year Shurelia was created in due to the Seven Bloodstains Incident, but by the way she acts and talks, it seems like she has been alive for four years already (Seven Bloodstains and Shurelia's creation: 3031 AD, Shurelia being installed as Ar tonelico's Administrator: 3035 AD).

Ar Tonelico 1 and 2 impacted me more about the history, battles and cosmospheres especially AT2 around Lady Cloche and Luca with Infelsphere and Synchronizations. I would like see and play again a game like AT2.
If you love game based music and jrpgs, this is the game for you. Definitely recommended for genre mentioned fans. It's predecessor games, the Ar Tonelico series is awesome !

There are some things mentioned that you won’t understand, but for the most part anyone who plays this will be ok to understand this game. Ciel noSurge just sheds some light on some things that happened previously but is not a requirement. But with that being said, shame on Koei for not localizing it. Sure there was the whole PS Vita has no games, but it’s like yeah well there are lots of games on it. They are just not being localized. And now of course it’s too late. But a port to Steam, Switch and PS4 is welcomed anytime with maybe adding Ar noSurge with it.
Yes this game even breaks the fourth wall by saying that you’re controlling a robot and watching what happens through a screen. But you control Earthes in the Ion scenes whereas in the Casty scenes you control a regular guy named Delta.
The xbox community in general is too xenophobic which is why EU and Asia games don't fully represented themselves on the console, unlike Playstation. Furthermore, Sony actually has a wealth of western studios. It is simply a platform with far larger international appeal.
Awesome games since Ar Tonelico and Atelier, I love this kind of games and a shame I didn't have ps3 for this but I cherish the old ones :3 , and hope I can see another with Akiko's voice.
Justine Greene I will definitely fork over my cash just to replay them all in order. Elemia was my favorite, I never beat Metafaulica because of a glitch fighting the goddess, and Qoga's ending was a perfect conclusion for the 3 games.

Gameplay wise I prefer Ar Tonelico 1 & 2, Atelier Iris 3, and Mana Khemia 1 & 2 I love their gameplay so much
the game producer that makes this game (and others including the Atelier series) always has the most amazing openings.
this game explains who the Teru tribe really are and shows the origin of Diving. It really gives Ar Tonelico a lot more depth now :P

I really love this intro, but the melody of metafalica intro song will always be my personal favorite.

Ar tonelico 1 for me is the best one. Remake 2 and you will get ar no surge, the battle system is nice but it's getting tedious soon
