Today I'm eating at an all inclusive resort called Melia Cayo Coco. This is an All You Can Eat Breakfast Buffet. I made a video last February at the same buffet but that was when we had restrictions and less food. All restrictions have been lifted so let's see what it's like and if there is a difference in food items.

I think its still breakfast, but its literally just all bread, pancakes, and pastries.
Gonna be honest here, Cuba looks horrible compared to Cancun and other resort areas.
It is. The country is poor, what can you do? The one thing about Cuba that can't be compared to any other carribbean country is their people. Genuine, real & not ruined by money.

It’s just a guess, but the viewership of his vlog channel is much lower than his main channel; so posting videos on his main channel has more exposure, makes more money and builds his brand more.
Very sad I have been to Cuba food selection is poor they don’t have resources you can talk it up all you want. Is there water and ice? Ketchup!
I know you like it there but would love to see other resorts. Your last 3 Cuba trips have been there...not sure we will see much knew things....I still watched to show my support!

I go for the fresh fruit scrambled eggs and bacon the fresh fruit juices and sweet and creamy coffee😊
The only problem with Cuba is the food, can't really blame them. It's hard for them to get anything in the country. Great beaches for sure. I've watched video on youtube about cuban supermarket and it's in a sad state, rows and rows of the same can food. it's crazy
Honestly America put them in a bit of a grid lock it's hard for them to import different ingredients.

Cuban Food?
Those are not crepes. That’s a European style pancake. Crepes are thinner
Eggs over easy with biscuits and sausage gravy with crispy shedded hash browns. Of course lots of coffee and maybe cran juice.
Yeah you might not want to travel outside of ‘murica. It will disappoint you.
Im curious, Ive been hearing mixed things about Cuba right now and supplies, or lack there of, I know on a regular basis not to expect anything too much, but did this time did you find it was even more so severely lacking in basics? Also, I'm curious, and maybe this is too nosy but if you could do a video on costs of your vacation here to compare to other resorts there

@@SleeplessScribbler Yes! I understand that lemon and sugar is very popular in the UK. Incidentally, I live in Los Angeles, CA. There was a restaurant that used to serve thin pancakes that I LOVED... they were so moist and tender.
I much preferred them to American pancakes. I’ve since found out that what this restaurant was serving were British pancakes! I must try making them sometime... perhaps with lemon and sugar?
@@Rick_Hoppe I'm quite boring with toppings but you can watch youtube recipes, some like Nutella and fruits. I've never trin thin pancakes (crepes), not sure I would enjoy them. The density kinda makes it .

So much food at the buffet. I wonder if they do have lots to throw away or do the staff polish them off. But I love a good omelet.
Its good to see everyone is back to PRE-Pandemic era in regards to Resorts Buffets.... For me it was January 2020 in Cancun. Seem such a long time ago now.

I never have been to Cuba(to be honest I've never been outside of North America) If I ever was able to do so I honestly wouldnt know where Id want to travel first. Where was the first place you travelled outside of North America & would you have changed the location you went?

Sadly, I’ve never been to Cuba. It’s difficult if you’re an American.
If it’s a buffet, I go for the freshly made food; crepes, omelets, eggs (sausage and bacon can be pre-made).
Some foods don’t need to be freshly prepared: Lox (smoked salmon) and bagels if they have it, and pastries. For me, french toast, pancakes and waffles need to be hot enough to melt butter.
Fresh fruit keeps and is good. Steam table oatmeal is fine. Too bad they didn’t have maple syrup. IMO, Vermont maple syrup is good, but Canada maple syrup is BEST! God bless Canada!

Me and my sister go every year to Cuba but not at resorts we just love staying in Havana my husband is not a fan has he is a meat and potato guy
Also respect to you Ken for shaking the fan's hand and chatting to him. I recently met another Canadian UA-camr by chance who was dismissive and rude to me when I approached him.
It's strange they wouldn't have maple syrup for the Canadians. Canadians love maple syrup.
