  • Checking the swr on my k40 mobile antenna after being in storage for a few months. Will it still be in tune?

Very nice! Always good to have low SWR readings…unbelievable how so many don’t even check this just hook up their radio and talk! 😳 As for 11 meter, all through my 38 year trucking days, I was [and still am] partial and dedicated to Francis fiberglass antennas. Cheap, pre-tuned, and, tough as a boot when it comes to tree limbs smacking them. Have a good weekend! 73s! ~Jim~

That is not a real k40 the real k40 is a large 2-3" tall coil were a 52" whip comes off, the k30 is 1-2" anD has like a 46'" whip in my experience k40 was never fiberglass basically 2/3 length of a 9' steel whip!!!

All I know it has k40 on the black cover and comes in size 3’ to 6’ with the small adjustment stub on top. It’s a flex type shaft so it can bend a lot before it breaks. Forgot where I bought it but it’s been a real good whip antenna. Worked slot of dx on that thing and easy to adjust the swr. Maybe k40 or who ever makes them expanded their line. Who knows! It works! lol.ok Amazon has it. It’s called a k40 SF-300. Super flex antenna.

@@cbhamradio1507 basically a fire stick with a mag mount!!!!! I was at a radio shop in Illinois when the k40 first came out and watched real life " shoot out" competition between the exist fire stick 7' length and original k40 the k 40 stayed silent while driving along with the stick when stock sig was getting lost the k40 took over and went over 7 more miles!!!!
