    Love it!!! A wobble is usually the steering stabilizer....death wobble is never that part, but usually the track bar. Thanks for sharing this beauty with us.

      @@2kviper877 did you have to recalibrate the speedometer at the dealer? did they do that for you? I have nonXR with 33s and am wondering what the dealer does.

    Just got a 2021 392 with 26k miles. Glad I found your channel as I’ve gone down the “UA-cam University” rabbit hole. Mine was owned by a couple “empty nesters” and was totally stock with a good about of tread left on the 33’s. It even looks like they 5-way rotated. I think I found a jem.

      @@2kviper877 so I have learned from your vids! Have you had any issues putting the 35” on the back without upgrading the tailgate hinges/carrier?

    • @2kviper877
      @2kviper877  11 місяців тому

      @@dvient no but I installed BFGKM3 mud tires which are 315/70/17.
      These are the size tires that came on the XR 392s. But they aren't a "true" 35 as they are really more like 34.5 in. But that allows them to mount on the stock carrier and no issue with my back up camera working either!

      @dvient 11 місяців тому

      @@2kviper877 awesome to hear. Ty. I had the same metric size on my AEV MW3 JKU, but I had to install the Teraflex HD carrier. That same carrier is almost 2x the price, and 4x more involved to install on the JLU lol. I’m not one to take shortcuts on my builds, but the older I get, the more daunting another build becomes. Haha. I appreciate the reply.

    When the Fox wears out in 10 months, Swap out your new Fox steering stabilizer with the Falcon Nexus 2.2 adjustable one, and leave it on the middle setting. Thank me later. 😊

    When the dealer installed the 35s, did they do anything to fix the speedometer/shift points and if so is that covered through the warranty? I know Tazer JL exists but if the dealer does it I was wondering if they have a way to have the computer read 35s.

    • @2kviper877
      @2kviper877  Рік тому

      Thanks for watching! I did not do anything to recalibrate it. Indicated Speed is about 2-3 MPH slower than actual speed.
      I do have a tazer but Haven't installed it yet.
      No issues with fitting or mounting spare tire. All stock. Shift points in off road + are 30, 50 and 75 mph. Not sure what they would be normally.

    I wonder if the suspension parts as a whole are any different on this 392 from a regular Rubicon, as per track bars front and rear, control arms etc. I am guessing they had to put in different front springs from the factory to accommodate the added weight of the engine or one would think so. I have a question that you may be able to answer as per them having done an alignment I gather, did you get the specs as per a before and after for toe and also the caster. I get the idea that most of the control arms on the wranglers from the factory are non adjustable and so it is what it is all based on the height of the suspension and the slight variables from vehicle to vehicle when welding together the axle housing and frame brackets for the control arms and the resulting caster angle. I suspect with all the past Jeeps you have mentioned that you have owned and also modified, the caster angle topic has come up time and time again due to steering wobble or vague handling.

      I know that there was some frame strengthening and some changes but don't know the specifics. I did see a great video on this but can't locate it again.
      No I did not get the specs on my last alignment and I should have. I will be going back to have my tires rotated/ balanced in the next week and will also have the alignment checked.
      I will get the specs this time. Thanks for watching.!!

      @@2kviper877 That would be great if you can remember to grab that info from them at that time, if they do adjustments then you will get a before and after spec. Its actually nice to always get them to print off a copy for your records and have a folder etc that you keep such info for each vehicle at your residence ( rather than how some use their glove box filled with crumpled up paper work/ receipts 😄)
