    Fellow AEVJL370 392 owner here...holy sweet baby Jesus, this is the vehicle you'll tell your grandkids about, then you open the garage door and start it up and there is nothing but smiles. Makes no sense but that's what makes it beautiful...the end of an era. Worth the price, yep!

    Great video!! Thanks for sharing your experience. I’m waiting for my 2022 392 XR and look forward to it when it comes. Thank God I’m only putting my kids in the back. They shouldn’t have a problem getting in and out of the vehicle. Glad to hear you’re comfortable sitting in the front. I’m also a bigger dude, and that’s important. Yes, everything is very expensive and paying this much for a Jeep annoyed me a little, but cars in general have become very expensive. Like you said, everything is expensive nowadays, unfortunately. Keep enjoying the 392, and stay safe and healthy!!

    Ordered my JLUR turbo diesel JL370 in the beginning of December. The wait for it to be built by Jeep is killing me. If/when that happens then it's another wait for it to be shipped to AEV in Michigan. Then it's another 6 to 8 weeks for their backlog.
    It's one hell of a wait!
    Great feedback on the suspension upgrade. I'm glad I chose that option.

    Looks good bud! Take that sucker off-road in Moab. Took my 392 on 37s with a 2.5 in Clayton Off-road lift and it crushed it there in November. 11K miles and zero issues…it’s well worth the money!!! Especially with a Tazer JL

    Your review was perfect.
    100% honest regarding what you bought.
    If course 100k is expensive, of course the gas mileage is horrible especially in these times and of course it's mad fun which if you can afford why not.

      I had a 2012 rubicon v6 on stock tires with no mods that wasn’t much better on fuel economy than my new 392XR. No regrets except that I did have to give up my Ram 3500 Cummins to get it. Didn’t really need that powerful of a truck no more than “I need” this Jeep. I have my older F150 for truck stuff and this will get me where I need to go. I looked at the 4XE but realizing that this nation isn’t ready with the infrastructure and knowing that if we ever do go all electric it will cost just as much and imho be worse for the environment. Once electric really takes off you will spend just as much per kilowatt as you do on gallons now if not more. The global elite could care less about your budget and once it’s your only option they will tag you like no other. The 4XE gets a whopping 24 miles on a full electric charge then go to gasoline and the batteries kill the storage area. This just made sense and yes they are expensive but I’m going to be happy with a winch and maybe a few lights. Nothing crazy. I’m keeping the 35’s it came with and that will be fine for what I’m doing in Mississippi.

    Nice ride! Never understood Jeeps until I drove one. Then it came in Gecko Green and I had to buy one. So I got a Willys, and love it SO much. But I can't help but crave the 392 and am sorely tempted. I know it's so much more expensive, but I just love that sound, and the idea that something like this is just never going to be made ever again.

    • @jethroroams3173

      All true. And it's a cheaper option to doing a 392 (or similar) engine swap. And includes a full factory warranty. But yes, the thrill of the Hemi sound and power is undeniably awesome!

    Yikes, over $100K for a JLUR! But, it's a 392 with AEV stuff. You are right, it is stupidly expensive and stupidly fun! I have a 2013 JKUR that I bought brand new and I slowly built it to almost AEV specs since I couldn't afford it in one big purchase. Almost 10 years and it still gives smile to my face every time I see and drive it. Lots of memorable adventures and looking forward to more!

    A suspension lift or a body lift will not change the dynamic of the oil pan. The only way it would be able to is if you're referencing the front axle because yes that would be pushed lower but as far as the engine being relocated the engine mounts located on the frame and they are not moved by either of the suspension and or body lift modifications. A lot of people think a body lift is a suspension lift but it's not.
    The best remedy would be some sort of skid plate. Compared to redoing the oil pan on the hemi inside the frame, I'm willing to bet that its going to take hours to do that where the skid plate could probably be bolted on in 15 to 20 minutes😂
    Not to mention if you're off-roading and you break your oil pan judging by where you like to off-road in the video there is a good chance that debris and everything else is going to get inside the engine before you have a chance to power it off😅
    Yes, this good place like $200 but they have a tow truck recovery or rig in the middle of nowhere and then the installation cost of the new oil pan. Plus you'll want to buy the skid plate anyway. In the end I would say dollar cost averaging. You are better to wager your bed towards just buying a skid plate😅

    Thanks for doing this vid! I'm a 4XE owner(no, don't stop reading!), and I don't think people properly appreciate the experience of a big V8 when it comes to just being a feeling human person. It's an entirely different experience to roar through gears as opposed to "verp-ing" through them. I don't regret my 4xe purchase, but I'm not giving up my Mustang.

  • @evp3219
    @evp3219 2 роки тому +3

    In regard to the suspension. You should upgrade to the 3.5" duel sport. It comes with a high steer kit and a new rear track bar and geometry relocation brackets for the front. My 2010 Rubicon Unlimited was the same way on the high way and was crazy with wind or if a semi came by. But I put the 3.5" on and the Jeep is absolutely planted, body roll was dramatically reduced and those sways from wind at high speed are a thing of the past. Awesome Jeep man, I wish I could get the V8, but I still love my JKU.

      I work at the factory and his car starts at like 88k ... if your adding uprgades after dropping $100k on a car your either insane or stupid.. especially when these cars are 20k over priced

    • @evp3219
      @evp3219 Рік тому +2

      There is a third option... Insane, stupid OR have enough money to buy what you want. Generally the people who call other people insane or stupid for spending their money how they want are people who don't have enough money to do the same, it just screams insecurity to make such a comment. And companies like AEV are the back bone of America. By the way and AEV duel sport suspension is like $3000 if you install it yourself. So if one has $100k to drop on a beast Wrangler then another $3-5k for a suspension, that is far superior over stock, probably isn't too big of a deal. Having one of the best Jeeps ever made and supporting an awesome American company sounds like a pretty great way to spend some money.

    The 392 Wrangler is an “affordable” alternative to the Mercedes G wagon. The classic American V8 rumble is worth the price of admission. I think the 392 model will be available until 2024. Jeep will most likely pull the plug after that. Future collectible!
