It looks as if they had several children and all eventually moved out...then Mom & Dad passed away. Life goes by SO fast...cherish every moment...we are never promised another day.

Wow! I just loved this upload! Its just crazy how some people just up and leave like this and literally leave everything. All their beautiful memories just left. This house actually took me back years and reminded me of my Nans. She was a massive hoarder, but when we went to see her, it was like a massive adventure because we'd find so many different things that wasn't there the previous week. Memories, eh?! Great work SamandJess.

I have always admired how you both demonstrate such care and respect for everything that you touch in these houses. You even put every item back exactly where it was found.
That house was an amazing explore! So very colorful and absolutely packed with wonderful memories. I couldn’t help but think how difficult it would be to dust all of those horses and nicknacks throughout the house.

@@Samandjessexplore Could be for some people it's just too painful, or they just don't want anything to do with the person or people because of abuse or bullying and violence, or drugs and alcohol. The kids could have died before they did too. Or they changed names and lost contact.

It's possible that there are simply no heirs, or the rightful heirs to the property simply do not know that they entitled to it. It is possible to be the heir to property/cash from distant relatives that you have never known. I understand that if property/cash is not claimed for a certain amount of time it becomes property of state. There could also be disputes over who the heir is stopping progress from being made.

Your whispering shows your utter respect for your surroundings and the people that lived there before, I grew up going to school with a “ traveller family” and the Dad had his horses and Mum had her. porcelain and crystal wares, such proud people (( they were anyway) my Nan was called Daisy Violet too, I’m a 65 year old Grandmother and although never owned one, I have loved horses all my life, this explore was beautiful and brought back many happy memories to me of my own childhood growing up on the South Downs in Sussex, keep exploring Sam and Jess, we love it 🥰🥰🤗🥰🐾🥰🐾🥰🐾🕷🐎

Baby horses are foals for female and colts for male. My friend has gypsy horses. They are so laid back. Very chill horses. They don't know what personal space is though and they don't realize how big and heavy they are. Beautiful horses but lots of hard work goes into brushing mane, tail, and those foot mops. I forgot the real name for their hair on their feet. They can even have mustaches. Beautiful find guys🙏💖🐾

This house is a great argument against minimalism. When I compare this house's interior with a monochromatic, sparsely furnished interior I'll go with this place anytime. Although you call it the gypsy house I don't believe they were pure Romany after seeing the family photos. I think they were a family enamoured by the Traveller's life. I see them as romantics with a love of colour and adventure. I wish, wish, wish this work of art would be restored and loved again.

Their love for nature and horses was clearly evident in the front porch. The house is jammed full of their loves! This was such a treat to go through, and too bad you couldn't explore the caravans. I bet there were some full of beautiful treasures too. And there was bird who continuously sang during the entire video! @@Samandjessexplore I agree too! I felt joy and caring from the very large to the tiny things this family collected. It was also so heartwarming to see their love of all animals. It would be amazing just to sit in the different rooms and absorb the warmth I know I would feel. You did a wonderful job showing everything, thank you so much.

The rug you found is called a peg rug it was made using wooden round topped pegs . The type you would use to hang your washing out to dry. Back in the day my husband 's grandma used to make them but i carn't rember the prosess . The picture in the hallway of lady with the long black hair is from the late sixty's early seventy's cos we had one in my mum & dad 's house before i married.
    Love the channel👻👍👍take care sharon...

This place was my favorite by far. My parents are both hippies & I was born in the 70's so im sure you can imagine my childhood lol. My home is very 60's-70's retro/boho and the tent like rooms and the home made canopy beds in that house were right up my alley!! Loved it so much!!
Oh and those little negative like pictures u were looking at are actually called slides. They sit in a projector that has either a button on a remote you push to change slides or the older ones had like an arm you'd push down to change the slides.

One of my Grandads had a reel-to-reel tape recorder like that in the 1960s to provide soundtracks for his home movies.
