At 70 years old, your videos are as close as I'll ever get to Italy, France, Croatia, etc. I even purchased a T-shirt as a souvenir from my trip which you guys take me on weekly. Thanks so much!!
I really do believe that the house has somebody taking care of it. Maybe a neighbour or family member or maybe even another explorer are keeping an eye on the old house, lights left on and a radio station playing to help give the impression that someone is at home and heaters left on to slow the decay and rot so time slows down of the death of a beautiful past glory. A home x
We did hear previous explorers had done all these things… but due to the face masks on the wall, I don’t think it was vacated that long ago 😣 Very weird situation this one 🤭 Thank you for watching 🙏🏼❤️
@@Samandjessexplore Not really weird at all, its someone else's house but you have been doing this uninterrupted for so long you see yourselves doing no harm, but you are advertising someone else's goods to the whole world. You shouldn't even be in there.
Why do you guys always use GOD’s name in vain. Do you have to use GOD’s name as an exclamation point? For every little thing you say oh my GOD or oh my gosh. Gosh is a euphemism word for GOD. GOD’s name is to be used with reverence not as an exclamation point or a curse word. I had to stop watching the video because the cursing was getting too much for me. This is my first and last time l’ll watch your videos.
I love how respectful you are in all your videos of these abandoned houses and the previous owners. So many little treasures left untouched for years. Literal time capsules of a different era.
What a FANTASTIC place!!! It’s a pity that all of those great antiques and collectables are going to go to waste by rotting. I saw many collectables worth a lot of money and virtually everything should really be in a museum to preserve them so others can see and enjoy them as well! It’s a shame that the person who passed away didn’t think or realize that others would enjoy seeing the fabulous items. Had they thought of it they could possibly have left them in their will and stated that the house is to be opened up as a museum for others to have the opportunity to come by and see the lovely things.
Thays the trouble, stuff from yesterday was made so well, museum's are already full of these beautiful things and probably dont want any more. I have items passed down and my siblings dont want to know unless the monetary value is extraordinary. The one who passed away could not deal with it they never can, its a job for family and they usually appear for the financial distribution then go. Dont bring your kids up to be ungrateful turds like so many have, you are looking at the result. I cleaned house for a guy who went into a home, he had to pay a second hand dealer to take his beautiful furnishings away.
There really aren’t words to describe in words that house and it’s contents. It needs a second visit at least to try to unearth what the owner was doing. Very eclectic mix of collections. Random ‘stuff’ everywhere. What a wonderful find Sam & Jess. Signs of squatters possibly. Yet nothing other than a few small picture frames seemed to be noticeably missing. Completely fried my mind, seriously, never seen anything like it ever! Please try to go back at some time 🤗😁X
Glad you enjoyed it 🥰 Yes we agree, it’s definitely worthy of a closer look! It’s very far away from home though, maybe we would pop by if we are passing in the future 😁 Thank you for watching 🙏🏼

We’re back in a regular home, again! Woohoo! My favourite! 4:45 That radio and light really makes the place seem occupied! I’d have legged it for sure! 10:20 That painting is the face from ‘The Birth Of Venus’ by Botticelli. 15:10 That radio is still available. 25:31 I remember those kitchen cabinets with the reeded pattern glass and the plastic capped finger holes to slide them! 30:30 Was the tape being driven? If not, the internal drive belts would have perished! 32:30 The clock is still running! Must have an electric winding mechanism, I guess. 39:29 Is that a a stair lift or a mini elevator? I used to work for Stannah. 39:56 You were misinformed below. ‘Le diable emporte les emprunteurs de livres’ = ‘The devil take the book borrowers’ Said many times when a book is not returned, I reckon! Makes more sense, doesn’t it? That radio is still available, by the way, so it would be hard to estimate an age for that particular one!
I think that were prowling through an occupied house. The owner probably came home , stepped out of his tardis and said "Who the hell has been going through my stuff?".
Incredible find....the book collection was immense...I would have a field day reading into the literature being a voracious book reader....this is one of the most interesting ventures I've seen in your agendas...love you guys!! You look beautiful, Jess!!!!!📚📚📚
As an amateur genealogist it saddens me that no relatives have come to salvage the house contents. I would treasure the old photos and memorabilia of my ancestors. It's so important to know our heritage which allows us to connect the past to the present. It gives us a sense of belonging and of being a part of a greater whole. The younger generation of the former inhabitants have missed out on all their rich history. They will never know their roots. That is a tragedy.

Wow what a find ! When I watch these, I always see this my great grandparents had or handed down. We all might be thousands of miles apart, in another country, but there's always something that takes me back to my childhood whether it be an oil lamp or knickknacks, even kitchenware. I always get taken back in time. Thank you for that xx
So think he was a well to do man who liked a drink and to read books. How strange the lighting was on and a radio playing. The Roberts radio is from the sixties, my dad had one. Some grand furniture and the grandfather clocks are magnificent. Wonder if he was German or had germanic ties. That blue poofs thing Jess thought might be a powder puff is what you used to put on top of your head if you had a headache (think was victorian times). Xx
This was one of my absolute favorite explores. Such a great house filled with fabulous finds. The furniture and all the books. Fantastic. Thanks so much Jess & Sam for another great episode. Love To You Both. Stay Well & Stay Safe. Til next time….

A radio playing and a light on; I thought we were in for something creepy! Once the lights were on it was an incredible time capsule, even though it was messy you could feel the warmth of living there. The old photos, the furniture, the clocks, it was just magical. My absolute favorite item was the painting over the door of the women with the flowing hair, it was so beautiful and haunting at the same time. Thanks guys, great trip!
British Royal Navy hat. But not an officer. Officers had eagles and the higher ranks had both eagles and decoration on the brim. Absolutely loved this video!!! MORE BOOKS!!!! This place was absolutely fascinating. I’ve seen that once before, however you guys got way more into it and got every little detail it was so fascinating. Really enjoyed it you did a fantastic job. Good music to match. It’s sad it seemed he was as ill as some of his patients. With all of his hoarding and books that he just couldn’t get enough of. Extremely well educated. It’s too bad that his children if he had any don’t come and do something proper with the house. Sending much love from me in California. 🎃💜😎🇺🇸😘
What can I say but WOW, Beautiful and my gosh the wonderful amount of books. I’d spend days just looking at them.Excellent job exploring this manor house. Wish I could’ve been there with you!! Top notch explore!!! You guys are the best.
What a amazing house looks like they are trying keep the house warm having those heaters on also boxing some things up! Amazing antiques inside their great stuff!

This was an absolute joy to watch Sam & Jess 🤎 Hands down, my favourite yet. It was the amazing editing to the perfect music! 👌 I loved the many beautiful hair brushes & the paintings! and the book mountains! 📚 During my nursing career I saw a fair few psychiatrist's offices - and they were all piled high with crazy books, photos & cigar stubbs!! 😆 Thanks again guys 🤍 oh, & chat is so friendly 😊 xx
Absolutely loved that house. It was weird that there's still electricity on and that heater was on. Good on you to say turn it off otherwise the place could have set on fire!! Like you both said it could be a museum and for other people to see !! A great watch for me. Thank you 😊
Hi Sam and Jess, What an excellent find. Books about everything. These people or person was very well read. It like a museum, sad to see its been left to decay. Could definately spend a couple of days just looking through each room. I hope the vandals dont find it. I hope you turned the radio back on? Stay Safe ❤❤
Before the age of MP3/4 and digital media people used VHS tapes with their VCRs to record their favourite tv shows because they wanted to keep them of they weren’t home at the time of the broadcast so once recorded they could watch their shows at their leisure. As to the cassette tapes people would record music, their favourite songs etc., off of the radio to listen to later on. Then there are the “mixed tapes” that people would make to have and listen to whenever and wherever or just to give them to friends etc.
Hi Sam and jess, can't believe all the antique furniture and stuff still in place no sign of vandalism only neglect and decay slowly rotting away this lovely old house,it was great to marvel at the doctors house with so much to see, fantastic find, and hopefully the family if any will save all this precious stuff with a home full of memories thanks for sharing enjoyed watching your video very much.
Wow, epic video! That place is really frozen in time. I agree with you guys, it should be a museum. Thanks for taking us there with you. Sending love from Australia.
Yes, I agree. The musical pieces are in such good taste and suit the classical backgrounds. I noticed a selection of Debussy's music in several videos.
I feel we all have something in common that come here to watch it’s we have a passion and a love and appreciation for history and the things that were made and the people who lived in the past! I really don’t ever watch tv unless it’s old tv show’s from my childhood and I love best was black and white show’s and movie’s!! My brother before he passed away would have loved your channel and he was pretty much like this guy who lived in this house and after he got a divorce is when he started collecting of everything especially stuff from his childhood but we’ve always had a apppreciation for antiques!! You guys are the best and the people who’s face’s that put your vlogs together and film!!!! I’ve tried watching other vloggers showing abandoned houses and I can’t watch after watching you two!!! Love to both of you be safe out there!!!!
For the love of all that is holy, there has to be some relatives who could turn the chaos into a book or short story of the lives that took up residence in that home. You can't take it with you so at least manage the outcome of your estate before you go. What fool hardy person could be vain enough to believe they will live forever. Such sadness, joy, time passing and I shed many tears for everyone's loss. Sam and Jess... You are such wonderful people.
Noticed a couple of face masks hanging up with some coats in the hall, definitely someone keeping an eye on that place and been in recently I'd say. Radio left on deliberately... Amazing place.
What a find guys - and the video is so professonally put together - the music is amazing - you two are very talented - and natural and gorgeous - thanks for sharing with us - and keep finding more places for us xxxx
everything you do is great Sam and Jess, just so many evocative and unique finds, maybe you ought to recapitulate from time to time as you find out more about the different histories.
Wow absolutely loved it brilliant find enjoyed it alot of stuff in there was worth alot of money it's a shame it's just left there ..hope it doesn't get trashed and stuff took real shame .much love to you both 💖
An incredible place indeed, I loved it. A very learned man with a home full of books either of reference or knowledge with some fictional and poetry books thrown in. Fabulous furniture and I just loved the beautiful school type photos.. I have a strange affinity with things from the 20’s, 30’ and 40’s so I always love pictures, clothes, furniture etc relating to these eras. I agree with a previous comment that there is someone keeping an eye on this place. I so agree with you both that much of this house should be in a museum and it is truly sad to see them disintegrate over time. Thank you so much as always for bringing us this gem. 💜🧡
The opportunity to quietly sit in one of the rooms and listen to the home's echos would be a dream come true for me. I believe the walls do talk. You just have to know how to listen.
Great video as allways ,cabinet up stairs is called a line press small drawers inside bigger ones for sheets, blankets , towels , Roberts Radio 50s ,60 s Cutlery is a fish set ,pepper /salts are condiment sets , 2 grandfather clocks are 30 day ones 2 winding holes , vase not urn no lid , small clock in fluffy casecomes out when not travelling they are called travel clocks
Please Go back, and spend a day there! Gosh, I didn't feel sadness at all, I felt there was just so much history to be discovered, what a "TREASURE CHEST"!
the masks on the coat rack really intrigued me, it definitely feels like a family member comes back once in a while just to reminisce or make sure things dont go missing and possibly take things home with them as they find along the way that mean something to them
The house of the books, take years to read them all, wonder if they did 🤔 Think the radio times was out of place, 2 years old, can a house really deteriate that much in 2 years 🤔 Anyway, good find 👍
That's one amazing house so much beautiful stuff it's a shame that its just sitting there as you said there's stuff that should be in a museum love this video as the house is packed with history and so many beautiful objects be safe jess and Sam xx
I've thought recently that these mansions and homes with everything just left behind. If the people in these families still had money, but wanted to start somewhere new, they could afford to literally leave all behind. I'm sure some suitcases of treasured things, if that, but I dated a man once with money, who traveled without a suitcase to where he was headed, then bought when he got somewhere clothing, and such. But, leaving more personal info, like bills, bank notes... makes one wonder. Thank you for sharing yet another fascinating tour.
What an amazing place so much history. What I don't understand is that the family have left everything in the house for nature to clime and be lost for ever. Aussie Annie
It’s so sad to see all those grandfather clocks and antiques, plus the house itself going to wreck and ruin. I would love to own some of the beautiful pieces of clocks and furniture. I just subscribed to your channel. Hope you get many more subscribers 🙏❤. Greetings from Western New York!
This is my mind, a thousand things running around, will need to see this again and then again and again. Beautiful.
Hi guys I have just shown this video to my 86 yr old mum and she loved it and you guys too. So it looks like you have another fan . Thank you xx
It seems to be trendy to mention hoarding but there is no evidence of hoarders disorder here. It is a specific condition & has specific symptoms.
Man to be honest if I were to go into one of those homes I wanna take everything home I love antiques stuff and unique
The tapes may have been sessions. A psychiatric doctor, possibly recorded sessions.
What can I say but WOW, Beautiful and my gosh the wonderful amount of books. I’d spend days just looking at them.Excellent job exploring this manor house. Wish I could’ve been there with you!! Top notch explore!!! You guys are the best.
Deborah wouldnt you rather read them books rather then spend days just looking at them lol
Sam Jess turn them heater's on and preserve the integrity of the building
Yes some of them were already on! We were torn between wether it was dangerous or helpful 🤭 Always strange when the electrics still on 😲
Mm 39:54 "The Devil take the book borrowers" lol Another good video🥰
This was so good guys Thank you for showing us round 🤗 Can’t believe that tv is Sony but everyone has to start somewhere right ?! 🤣 💕❤️
What a amazing house looks like they are trying keep the house warm having those heaters on also boxing some things up! Amazing antiques inside their great stuff!
So scary when you walked in with the music playing an light on! Then those 2 space heaters! That carved furniture was so beautiful. I loved all of it. Thank you
Love the eerie soundtrack playing in the backdrop..fits the theme !!!
This was an absolute joy to watch Sam & Jess 🤎 Hands down, my favourite yet. It was the amazing editing to the perfect music! 👌 I loved the many beautiful hair brushes & the paintings! and the book mountains! 📚
During my nursing career I saw a fair few psychiatrist's offices - and they were all piled high with crazy books, photos & cigar stubbs!! 😆 Thanks again guys 🤍 oh, & chat is so friendly 😊 xx
A few of those psychiatrists are more bonkers than the patients. R D Lang for example. Permantly away with the fairies
That doctor has some INCREDIBLY SERIOUS stuff! Books, antiquities and the like!
Its amazing how this place was just abandoned like that..so many books, and antiques...wow..who is in charge of the property recently???
Found your channel few days ago. You two are amazing! Love your videos.
Greetings from Germany ✌️
Simply enthralling. All those books! I can spend a year of hard lockdown with them as company...
Oh my goodness!! This place is just magical!! I want to see more!! Thanks for the magnificent explore!!
What a priceless find!!! I loved this house and the 🎶 was perfect. Thanks both xx
Hello Sam and Jess another great video keep up the good work love Paul 👍👍👍😘
Brilliant. What a time capsule. I love so much the commentary you do with your video's it's so relaxing and chilling. Very enjoyable. xx
Isnt it strange for lights and radio to be on an empty house. It was an amazing house and explore.
The furniture and the books in there was magnificent.it's sad that no relatives has come to take care of his belongings..I really enjoyed it.
I enjoy your beginning orations of the lives of these houses and the pics & vids that go with them… your voice is perfect for the narrations❣️
Brilliant video a lot of fantastic antiques this house needs to be preserved. Ace channel
Love the haunting music..
It could have been Gymnopedies or Gnossiennes.
The music is so beautiful! Creates atmosphere! 🥰
I'm going to be falling asleep tonight and hearing" Books" "Books " lol.🤣. great vid and location yet again 👍 keep safe
So relaxed the music was lovely
Glad you enjoyed it Tracey 🥰🙏🏼
What a beautiful time capsule… so sad that it’s all left and going to get trashed at some point 😢
Stunning treasures there ❤️ awesome guys xx
The cropped head of that painting of Venus, shown bare within a shell, but only showing the neck up is almost as awesome as seeing the full painting.
Thank you Sam and Jess and your crew for this very interesting find. Patty and Rob
Amazing video Sam and Jess
everything you do is great Sam and Jess, just so many evocative and unique finds, maybe you ought to recapitulate from time to time as you find out more about the different histories.
Wow absolutely loved it brilliant find enjoyed it alot of stuff in there was worth alot of money it's a shame it's just left there ..hope it doesn't get trashed and stuff took real shame .much love to you both 💖
Your videos are always so calming! I love them ❤️
I completely agree with this comment!
Every time i watch one of these i want to declutter
Your writing as a documentary is always very interesting to read. Well done, as always very nice video's.
Bonsoir je suis navré je ne sais pas l'anglais , mais vous faites un excellent travail .
Merci de nous faire voyager.
Peace
Jah bless
Glad you enjoyed it 🙏🏼 Thank you for watching! Peace brother ❤️
Y'all always pick the most fitting music well done!!! your friend in Texas.
This place is so intriguing. 24 hour over night what content that would be. Thanks for the content again guys🤝
The opportunity to quietly sit in one of the rooms and listen to the home's echos would be a dream come true for me. I believe the walls do talk. You just have to know how to listen.
TY for exploring this wonderful place with so many memories
Great video as allways ,cabinet up stairs is called a line press small drawers inside bigger ones for sheets, blankets , towels , Roberts Radio 50s ,60 s Cutlery is a fish set ,pepper /salts are condiment sets , 2 grandfather clocks are 30 day ones 2 winding holes , vase not urn no lid , small clock in fluffy casecomes out when not
travelling they are called travel clocks
Handy having two grandfather clocks next to each other, so handy for checking them against each other to see if one is running fast or slow.
Please Go back, and spend a day there! Gosh, I didn't feel sadness at all, I felt there was just so much history to be discovered, what a "TREASURE CHEST"!
the masks on the coat rack really intrigued me, it definitely feels like a family member comes back once in a while just to reminisce or make sure things dont go missing and possibly take things home with them as they find along the way that mean something to them
Or else someone still lives there and these people just went prowling through an occupied house.
What a grand old house 🏚. Love 💘 the antiques. Stay safe 👌🙏❤💓💙💕👌
Love, love, love the intro you did for this vid!
So interesting looking at all the stuff and the hat box such a delightful shape I do like hat boxes and the pink colour inside gorgeous
The house of the books, take years to read them all, wonder if they did 🤔
Think the radio times was out of place, 2 years old, can a house really deteriate that much in 2 years 🤔
Anyway, good find 👍
The French text above the door says 'The Devil takes away the book borrowers."
I really wish they would do something with these old places and all the things inside. Thank you for sharing, really enjoyed watching 👍👍👍👏👏👏💖💖
Lovely video. Very enjoyable. Love the ambient music as well.
