Koreans underrated our Filipino accent while Americans and other top 3 English speaking countries never do😂 Like what you said Oppa, only few of koreans can only speak English.. Maybe those bullies are so jealous because most of the Filipinos can speak and understand English.
Our family went to Korea twice for a vacation, it's difficult to communicate there since majority of Koreans don't understand and can't talk even simple English, but why underrate us 😭😭😭. In Korea, I have to buy medicine and have to go to the hospital. Even professional people there need a translator. But we never judge them nor underrate them. Here in ph, even simple people can understand and trying to communicate with foreigners coming here. Anyway, not all Koreans underrate Filipinos.
Filipino can easily be multilingual. We like hearing how other languages spoken. We don't underrate a language even Hangul. Instead, if we really do love a language, we sometimes learn it. ALL i want to say, regardless of how the accent is, the fact that we are able to speak other language is already something to be Proud of.
Filipino accent is Neutral. Words are better understood with a neutral accent. It's the clarity of words that's important here. That's why most Filipinos are good communicators. Even little kids won't be afraid to talk to you when you speak to them in English. And honestly, when you're used to conversing with people in English, the (american) accent would just come out naturally specially for people who's very much exposed to Western culture.
Dont underestimate us because that we have a filipino accent.i believe that filipino accent will gonna recognized us that we are from philippines...im just a child from philippines🙂sorry for my bad eng.btw hi oppa joon😊
You make us understand your culture in many things, I hope you do the same with us because the accents of Luzon, Visaya and Mindanao are really different when they speak English, so you should learn their differences.
Jessica lee is a good teacher in english if she teach english in korea...hes student would be like her fluent in english,it doesn't matter the accent, the grammar& pronouncetion is important in english langauge so that we understant each other.blessyoujesse🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭
I think Jessica and her Friend Sylvia are both Single 😁 go meet them Oppa Joon 😂 I mean when you go back to SoKor 😜 I would not mind a collab since the three of you have a UA-cam channel 😁
for those who are underrated our accent I want you to know that the philippines have 175 languages and english is not our totally language , in 175 languages here in Philippines TAGALOG is our national language. but its good to know that many flipino can speak and can communicate in english, well our english accent is easy to understand
It depends on a person what accent they're going to adapt. Filipinos can discern sincerity and kindness. We appreciate your open-mindedness and embraced the Filipino culture.
No worries, I think Filipinos can discern who's nice. Jessica Lee is well mannered and always carry herself with sense of decorum in her actions and communication.
Yes... With their "adu cart" and "siginiture" I am not mocking them amd no Filipino mock them its just that... why are they like that to us when we Filipino are trying to be friend with them? And their are a lot of Korean who do not speak english fluently and when trying to imitate or copy british accent they look more funny than us Filipino with our accent. God bless them! That's all i can say for those people who think theirs perfect and they are intitled to mock us. Believe in "karma"... "what goes around comes around" thats an american belief. Mocking is a bad attitude.
Jessica is speaking filipino accent, because we filipino were educated based on American english. My brit husband said that my accent is bookish, because i am very conscious with my grammar and correct pronunciation.
The English subject in the Philippines , the teacher doesn't teach us Accent. But instead proper and clear pronunciation. You can't sit in your chair if you can't deliver the word perfectly. This scenario happens in elementary and high school. Jessica lee is the example where you clearly understand the english words without reading subtitles. Accents can learn or adopt when you live in a western country.. by the way English language is a way to communicate only as long as you understand each other it doesn't matter if you don't have an accent.
We learn english not to boast the fact that we can speak the language. We learn it to communicate cause we love to talk to people. Same reason why all filipino workers in any country, can speak the native language in that place. All filipino are bilingual and most are multilingual.

For me I believe, every country has their own accent when it comes to speaking English Language. Even the English speaking countries like the British Accent and the American Accent. It doesn't matter what your accent is because somehow it's your identity, what matter is how you speak, compose, deliver your message and be able to comprehend. Just my opinion tho... ;*)
Americans our original teachers of english language themselves doesnt have problems with filipino accent i dont understand why koreans do have problems with it😅 all country accept all kinds of accent except korea i dont know why maybe they are not inform about it..or just ignorant ..
Lee Da Hae was my 1st favorate korean actress. It started when her korean novela entittled GREEN ROSE was shown in the philippines through ABS-CBN. But after i watched the show that she mimic the person who speak english in native accent, that change my outlook towards her.She is not anymore my fav actress.
I love jessica mahal kita..english is very important words..we here in the middle east as a OFW we speack english & arabic....now we are fluent arabic and English..they can not sale me now..hahaha
Our accent is clear to pronounce and I heard before in the news that we are 2nd in England, third is America so we should be proud our accent because clear can pronounce proper and not slang....and also we should be proud being Filpino we have nice skin,we are not white but brown we call it kayumanggi and our legs is convertend too,not only our nose mostly flat but some are pretty and attractive to see so this is the one for u to notice first our differrentiate
The issue is not just exclusive to Koreans criticizing the Filipino English Accent as it can also happen between Koreans too, I suggest watching Terry Tv's story about the time he was teaching English in Korea. Although I agree that this kind of issue is mostly common in the entertainment industry. Heck, even Filipinos criticize their own countrymen especially if the person has a different accent. This stereotypical mindset of if you want to learn English then it should be taught by someone who "looks" western just needs to stop and keep in mind, a lot of Koreans go to the Ph to learn English and this kind of stereotypes doesn't just happen between Koreans and Filipinos, it can be in reverse or with other nationalities. So guys, please just be open minded and don't generalize.
pinoy is great adjuster we easily adopt a type of anything like we sing to make are speaking make fluently and make some of slang tune on pronouciation or we copy what we see and hear you some of pinoy make easily knew how to speak in hang gul because we hear and those words pronouces see what is its to use too
What irks me a bit is even people in the slums of manila can understand and speak a certain level of english. When I went too Korea, we only eat in fastfood because every restaurant we go to, the staff don't understand english then some Koreans have the gall to mock filipino accent.
some korean netizen are jealous of filipino accent because they dont know how to speak english😂😂😂jessica and you oppa are the best korean bec you and jessi had adopted filipino culture..
No actually those who came back that stay in other countries for only few years they are just pretending that they acquired the accent. I know many Filipinos stays in other countries for years but the accent remains the same when they talk. Most of the Filipino can understand English but not the perfect it’s ok as long as you communicate with other people.

Koreans really love Cebu and Boracay, but I suggest you guys should try to go to Batanes that place is paradise and It is the number 1 safest place here, the people there are so nice that they even created this honesty store where there's no cashier, just put your payment on the box and it's up to you if you pay or not It's your choice to be dishonest. So yeah try to go there and you'll see what I'm talking about.
If you notice, some Koreans ,when speaking English, roll their tongue and swalllow the words you can hardly understand any word...the guts to criticize the filipino accent.at least we can speak English well.accent doesn’t matter. The most important thing is to be understood.we relay the message 100%
Oppa Joon!!! Because they didn't accept How Filipino speak clearly and understandable by others. That is why so many humors to critisize the Filipino accent. Actually that is their choice what they like to speak. Just be true to yourself and communicate well to other's so that they can understand you. For me it's doesn't matter if you have an accent or how you speak others, as long as you can communicate and how you speak with them. It's okey with that.Hi to you Oppa Joon...continue that vlogg...i support you.
