Greatest power ballad ever written. No question about it. Had my first "love" experience to this tune. Bravo for Marc that he still has those pipes. AC/DC should have hired him when they decided to go on after Bon passed. Pity..
Absolutely incredible. I listen to this unplugged version time and again, and am ready to listen again. I saw Krokus in the '80's and loved 'em. But this is impressive! Gives me the chills!
👍 ALL THE WAY FROM THE INTO TO THE END SUCH A REALISTIC SOUND FOR IT MEANNING BRAVO FROM CHICAGO MONTROSE S OLD. BASS PLAYER OFF AND OM ........I. REALLY ALWAYS LOVED THIS ONE ✌ ❤ ✌
Hey Rockers...thanks for all your nice comments ! A video from a cool "jam" with my old buddies Tony Castell (left)and Dominic Favez (right) recorded during a Film-Fest in Solothurn, Switzerland, the birthplace of KROKUS Tony plays Bass & Dom Rythym Guitar on the KROKUS *HELLRAISER* Album of 2006. We toured extensively around Europe etc...more Stories on the Krokus Website. KROKUS will record a new album in 2012. *LOUDPARK FESTIVAL* in Tokyo, Japa - October 15th, 2011... Rock On, Marc ;-)))
This song is proof of the talent they had back in the day. When I was in high school this tune was one of the big couple skates. It was so good even the kids that were not big metal fans liked to skate to this one. A good groove and hook with amazing lyrics. loved my 80s metal tunes.
wow!! never got to see krokus, but own a lot of their cds. listened to them alot in the eighties. would love to see some kind of tour, they obviously still got it!
I toured for 16 years with a band out of the 80s all across the country an we played with bands that our sound guy would have the singers mic turned off.Funny as it may sound now one of them is on VH1 with his own show. This is great by a very underated 80s band.
One of the best singers, songs, bands of their time. Makes you wonder what they did to screw it all up. Makes me think Dee Snider knows what he's talking about. Krokus, my first concert.
Everytime I listen to this song I really just want to cry my big brother loved this song I can still hear him sing it I miss my big brother every day he was killed in 1989 love you and miss you bro see you again rip
I have always loved KROKUS ( 1983 just a 14yr old kid) I just heard that a new album will be out 2009!! I hope a U.S. Tour will follow. Why are people on here talking about Bon Scot?
To hear this song live in 1983 was awesome. Sometimes memories are so perfect that you don't dare try to reproduce them for fear they might be as good the second time around. Ya know?
I saw them in 83 at Alpine Valley in Wisconsin, and I had the COOLEST shirt from that show. It had "Eat the Rich" on it, with a wolf with a severed hand in it's mouth that had a lot of fancy jewelry on it...my feather earrings went well with it...LOL!!! Oh, to be 17 again...
i saw krokus live not too long ago, and i think they still rock and marc gives a great concert! his voice might not be as great as it was in the '80s..it was obviously his peak..but its still awesome
This is great! I dont care what year this was recorded. That guy has a great voice. When you wonder why your favorite artist hasnt done anything "unplugged" its because they suck and were advised not to completely embarrass themselves.
I listened to Krokus back in 1986. They were an awesome band , this is actually the first I've heard them acoustical and its amazing. They were know more extreme metal then the scorpions were
@Icepacalapse Absolutely! He is one in a million! So many others worked outside of their range and trashed their voices, Marc didn't! He has an incredibly strong voice!
Screaming in the Night / Letras Sons of vengeance, can you rescue me They got me tied up to an old oak tree They had me screamin' and alone in the night I'm beginning to see what's wrong and what is right What is wrong and what is right Oh, oh, what is wrong and what is right The gates was gettin' rusty, as we sailed into the dark The stars were out and shinin' against the moonlit hour The wolves were out and howlin', most of the time And I was cold and shiverin' and bleedin' in the night Bleedin' in the night, Oh, oh bleedin' in the night Screaming in the night, Fighting for my life, I'd die for you I knew it all along, headed for the sun, Our love was true (our love was true) Screaming in the night Fighting for my life, I'd die for you I knew it all along, headed for the sun Our love was true, ah ah ah oh oh oh In the corner of the valley, we took him by surprise The sound of steel rang loud, above the battle cries I found her lying lifeless, dagger through her heart I picked her up, and held her high And I swore to be avenged Swore to the best, oh swore to be avenged, oh Screaming in the night, fighting for my life, I'd die for you I knew it all along, headed for the sun Our love was true (our love was true) Screaming in the night, fighting for my life, I'd die for you I knew it all along, headed for the sun Our love was true, oh Screaming in the night, fighting for my life, I'd die for you, oh I knew it all along, headed for the sun Our love was true (our love) Screaming in the night, fighting for my life, I'd die for you, oh I knew it all along, headed for the sun (Our love was true, oh)
Had heard of them..but the other day on satellite radio I heard this song..his voice caught my ear...wow..NEVER knew they wee this good...I have to admit I didnt listen to them because their name didnt attract me..thought they were extreme metal heavy...
Belting is not my favorite stylistic choice for this acoustic version, but it's alright, and I'm amazed how well his pipes have held up. Any other confirmation that he didn't forget the lyrics but sang that verse differently on purpose?
I read on Wikipedia that AC/DC offered Marc Storace of Krokus the job to be lead singer after Bon Scott died but he turned it down. He said he thought Krokus had a future ahead of them and he was his own singer, not a Bon sound alike. My question is did AC/DC come to him and offer him the job, or did Marc audition for them? Why audition and then turn the job down?
Not to take anything away from Brian Johnson, ACDC went on to make some terrific music but Marc should have been the replacement for Bon. He is like Bon reincarnated with better control! Dare I say? Hmmm.... I mean no harm. You ROCK Marc!!! Thanks for keeping us old guys rocking away!!! Come tour AMERICA!!! PLEASE!!! More rocking songs like In My Blood!!!!!
@stellastarr69 Agree with all of you re: Bon's voice double but he NEVER got an offer & there's no certainty he even auditioned. The whole process took months & bottom line with AC/DC was that if Malcolm & Angus hadn't seen or heard you before you had no hope. They ran into Brian Johnson late '70's at a Geordie gig & remebered him when he was invited to audition some 3 months after the process. it all clicked from there - there was never any offer to anyone else.
This is SO great .. mostly because of his voice! unlike many others, it`s STILL amazing ! just wish he could trick "Von Arb" back (as a lead guitarist, in front of these, no need for them to go! only one better thing than two good guitarists -> THREE!)
One of the most underrated voices in music
bon Scott alive
For sure, luv this guy 👍💚
Yes
Agree
Yeah, about 40 years ago.
Greatest power ballad ever written. No question about it. Had my first "love" experience to this tune. Bravo for Marc that he still has those pipes. AC/DC should have hired him when they decided to go on after Bon passed. Pity..
Same
Pra que ele ia cantar no ac dc se ele ja tem o krokus?🤡.eu no lugar dele nao aceitaria.o som deles é ímpar.
Absolutely incredible. I listen to this unplugged version time and again, and am ready to listen again. I saw Krokus in the '80's and loved 'em. But this is impressive! Gives me the chills!
I agree, what a great tune. This song never gets old for me
👍 ALL THE WAY FROM THE INTO TO THE END SUCH A REALISTIC SOUND FOR IT MEANNING BRAVO FROM CHICAGO MONTROSE S OLD. BASS PLAYER OFF AND OM ........I. REALLY ALWAYS LOVED THIS ONE ✌ ❤ ✌
I listen to this a lot too when I'm looking for a good laugh.

Thank you for some of the best times when I was a teen discovering krokus back in the day, sir 👍👍
Marc, thank you for your music. What a great voice.
Marc Storace is one of those unique voices that stands the test of time. A classic, great unsung band.
I have always loved this song... who knew it could be so amazing all these years later! And acoustic to boot is great!
people should give big thanx for a awesome singer like this, still belting good shit out after how many years, he is a rock god
Same last name with unique spelling
Mark Storace sounds just like he did over two decades ago. Incredible! Remember this when it was in MTV rotation. Love it.
Holy Crap......his voice is fully intact.
Pretty amazing considering how hard he worked it for all this time.
Sounds pretty good.
What an incredible voice.. 🤘🤘 perfect fit for AC-DC.
I am entirely impressed, and I think I am crushing for that Handsom Man with the beautiful voice... Krokus unplugged..A+
i love how he forgets the 2nd verse and doeznt skip a beat . both guitarists never skip a beat they pull it out. his face is priceless.
I think he was just Improvising because its a shortened version.
@@1peanut I think the look on his face says it all
Concern to pulling it out and satisfaction.
My favorite song, hands down! How can anyone not love "Screaming In The Night"?
One of my favorites during High-school. Thanks for sharing this❤
Fantastic glad he aint lost it, awesome vocalist loved 'em since i first heard 'em in the early 80's.
I watch this a couple times a year - great performance!
WOW still sounds FRIGGIN FANTASTIC!!!! love this version too...

This is a great tune and version. Sound is spot on. I saw Krokus a few years ago at Penny Road Pub in Barrington, IL. So sweet.

Great video! ... I saw Krokus with Yngwie Malmsteen in Lubbock, TX in 1988. Great concert!!! Thanks for posting a great video.
A quarter of a century later, give or take a couple of years, and they can still sing that like the recording. That just shows true talent.
good to see marc enjoying what he does..... bringing music to us metalheads!!!!!!!
I toured for 16 years with a band out of the 80s all across the country an we played with bands that our sound guy would have the singers mic turned off.Funny as it may sound now one of them is on VH1 with his own show. This is great by a very underated 80s band.

Beautiful!!!! Thanks for sharing! God Bless Krokus!!! Carry On!!!
Mar Storace sounds awesome. Their Metal-Rendezvous album is my favorite.
Thank you so much for posting this.🧡
Awsome song. What amazes me is seeing how good(healthy) many of these 80's rockers look while being in their 50's or even older.

The singer is Marc Storace, original Krokus singer.
The others are just later additions.

Sons of vengeance, can you rescue me
They got me tied up to an old oak tree
They had me screamin' and alone in the night
I'm beginning to see what's wrong and what is right

The gates was gettin' rusty, as we sailed into the dark

Our love was true (our love was true)
Screaming in the night
Fighting for my life, I'd die for you
I knew it all along, headed for the sun
Our love was true, ah ah ah oh oh oh
In the corner of the valley, we took him by surprise
The sound of steel rang loud, above the battle cries
I found her lying lifeless, dagger through her heart
I picked her up, and held her high
And I swore to be avenged
Swore to the best, oh swore to be avenged, oh

That was awesome! Krokus 4 ever!
Amazing Unplugged!
voice still goin strong!
This, and "Ride On" by AC/DC are probably the best rock ballads ever.
These guys still rock!!!
Awesome version of this song!
Dude is AWESOME!!!
Man, Switzerlands finest just like their chocolate only gets sweeter with age.
Marc Storace sounds fantastic on vocals.
unreal still a class act!
Great vocals!!
Bon Scott is still alive!
Belting is not my favorite stylistic choice for this acoustic version, but it's alright, and I'm amazed how well his pipes have held up. Any other confirmation that he didn't forget the lyrics but sang that verse differently on purpose?

Absolutely GRRRRREEEAAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
AWESOME...!
What a kick ass video......thanx
Tommy Kiefer was the original singer '76-''78 but Marc is by far the BEST. In the top 10 singers of all time.
it`s the way they do it when they do it unplugged even in Malta that`s the way he sang it on the radio than in concet they do the old version.
Superb!
Itz itz itz the shits... Class of 89... STONERS RULE... SLAYERRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
Still got it fuck yeah!
This is SO great .. mostly because of his voice! unlike many others, it`s STILL amazing ! just wish he could trick "Von Arb" back (as a lead guitarist, in front of these, no need for them to go! only one better thing than two good guitarists -> THREE!)
