I followed all the steps, but when i connect with android usb or android wifi, i got this " the software has not been authorized legally! please contact the dealer!" do you know how to fix this error? also, when i open the easy connect app, on the bottom right corner show " unregister" but there is nothing i can do to select to register. i hope to find a solution for this because i just installed an aftermarket android head unit in my car. android auto works fine, but this easy connect screen mirroring doesn't work.
Does usb tethering to share your internet with the unit even work?? I have usb connected and my phone shows usb tethering is on but it does not share my mobile data with the unit.. Also when I connect my phone to the device I don't see it in file manager....

So without hotspot service on my phone the mirroring is useless? The whole point of this unit was for me to mirror my phone and use the apps from my phone, controlling it all from the touchscreen of the vehicle.
By far the best video, so well done with the 5 things you must have to make it work. I have a ATOTO double din and was finally able to get it mirror. Thank you! I just wish i could get the landscape part to work! Not a biggie but let me know if you have a way. It's not as important on a Tesla like yours because they are vertical and HUGE. But on a 7" screen the phone display on the car screen looks small, but hey, it sounds great! Thanks again, you da man.
hi i bought it is i installed it it gives sound on the radio but when i connect it to internet in youtobe or videos it does not give sound i think it must be programmed from the system to remove the blockage and i do not know how to do it thanks for your cooperation

Why would a person need screen mirroring? I’d much rather control the phone from the screen. I’m driving and can’t be fooling with a handheld device. I have a AuCar head unit and it doesn’t seem to have android auto, so it’s basically a mounted tablet using the phone for connectivity. I thought I’d be able to see text, call whomever, address from calendar mapping, etc. Nope. Pretty shitty for what it’s worth. Any suggestions?

Easy connect stopped being supported it says when It came on my unit a 10.1 plz an 500 stopped working so deleted it and tried re install says it's no longer supported which makes no sense since it came stock on unit any advice?

I have one for an evo x I recalibrated the screen but for some reason the center top down nothing works only the right and left sides of the screen function
how about controlling your phone thru the android head unit touchscreen? the purpose is for safe driving. using your head unit to control the phone . if you still need to control the screen using your phone then it is useless.

I have followed all the directions to the T and still doesn't connect. I have tried both USB connections and nothing. I have tried different USB cables that work on the computer and still nothing. I turned on USB debugging via developer options. I installed the app and click on phonelink and nothing. Having to call/msg with Phoenix Automotive and provide an order # everytime is a nuisance guys. I like my unit but it is many times buggy. It will randomly lose sound. I'm playing the console radio and want to switch over to Pandora or something on the tablet side...and no sound. I have to reset the unit and even that doesn't always fix it. I have to keep messing with many times to get the sound back. It's kinda hard to do when your on the freeway.

Anytime you screen mirror both devices have to be on the same network what did you expect

how about controlling your phone thru the android head unit touchscreen? the purpose is for safe driving. using your head unit to control the phone . if you still need to control the screen using your phone then it is useless.

When i plug in to the usb it doesn't ask to allow USB debugging. I checked the usb cable and its file transferable. Any idea whats wrong?
