Eden Hazard wasn't the problem in the past two games. Meunier has been horrible. Witsel needs a wheelchair to find some pace. Batshuayi shouldn't be played as only striker because he can't keep the ball and hasn't any ability for link up play. But most of all what made the other weaknesses become more obvious: KDB has been underperforming (28 losses of possession vs Morocco). Belgiums strength always was KDB's ability in quick transitions and Lukaku as constant weight on the opponents defense and a clinical finisher. The other players were probably not much worse in the previous world cup but our KDB-Lukaku axis not being there made all the deficiencies more obvious for all to see. Martinez tactics has been depending on those two players for years now. He doesn't seem to have an alternative.

Quite surprising was arguably "the best keeper in the world" could not deal with two free kicks of identical angle, trajectory, arch, height and pace. Never mind anybody pretend touching the ball flying in or not.
Once is too many, the second one again ?
The last goal of first-time shooting could not blame on the keeper.
For some reason, Belgium superb keeper could not perform in World Cup big stage time after time .

Going by the intensity Morocco platted against Belgium, any team could have gone down, including France, the outstanding team this World Cup. This World Cup has shown that Asian and African countries are finally catching up with Europe and America in football. Belgium did their best, but best doesn't seem to be enough this World Cup with every country raising their performance bar. It's not true the European and American teams are doing bad this World Cup, it's just that the Asian and African teams are performing better and they've improved miles from 2018. It's good for the football world, finally if football may so desire, we could even have a first-ever World Cup winner from Asia or Africa. You never know, this is football. Anything could happen!
