@@AlfredMontaner just found your videos and have to say I’m proud of you guys , I know that Cubans are very resilient and go far and beyond to get the job done . Who else do you know that can take a 55 Chevy and install a carburetor from a Russian car and make that 55 run again !
Never had a doubt Alfred. I started watching your channel just before the engine was lost and have been watching feverishly ever since. Both you guys have done a fantastic deed of recovering the engine from the ocean protecting the environment and went the extra mile to restore the engine. Much respect my friends!!! Happy Birthday!!!!!!!!!!!
Congrats Alfredo great work by your mechanic Rodolfo and some times we overlook little things like the bleeding of a line and that causes a no-start situation but the man is a master a very need assembler that requires lots of experience and I'm very impressed with the man that came to help you start the motor that he didn't make Rodolfo feel stupid and treated the man with his due respect. Happy birthday to you and a happy conclusion to the rest of the people involved in this mini-series. DALE! CABALLO
Alfred you and Rodolfo represent the best of the American spirit. The resurrection of that motor is a metaphor for the resurgence of the U. S. as the best country to succeed in regardless of your beginnings. Love your videos, keep them coming. VIVA OLD NOVURANIA RIBS!
Hey! Love your passion! That did the trick! The never quit mantra is the way to live the life! Forget these haters, they probably don't have anything to live for and that's their choice, they can do anything they want to if they change their attitude! Congratulations and really glad that's going to a charity which is even more cool! I am a charity kind of guy!
A man is remembered by what he does, not what he says he will do. You brother, will be remembered. Job well done and respect to you for showing what can be achieved.
I find it amazing how surprised people are that it runs and good. That's a merc. Ya know how many we save down here in Louisiana. In the swamps. Plenty. Best motor ever. I have 300 on my boat right now. Pushes a load so easy
Félicitations alfred félicitations le mécanicien bravo à tous .super vidéos sur le monde de la navigation et de la mécanique et surtout de la restauration de ce moteur j ai suivie cela en me régalant...Christophe de France 😄😄.
Mercury should use your video as a promotion! I have a couple of the older version 275 hp with 1200 hours which are attached to a 32 ft Boston Whaler. They have been flawless. You gave a whole new confidence level to Verado.
Love this series. Stayed up all night watching every video every emotion you went through. Only up from here. Amazing channel amazing content keep up the good work.
You guys are awesome. You persevered, kept your chin up and positively lead the project to a successful outcome. I know firsthand how that feels and it is magnificent. Congratulations!
Happy Birthday! Congratulations on the start up! First time that I have seen the "old man" and the "youngster" smile I think. I live for these moments and now undergoing radiation treatment for prostate cancer and this boosted my morale a bunch! Thank You !
Rodolfo worked his tail off on that thing. And he did a great job, but even his skilled effort needed just one more volunteer's input. And you got it. Congratulations, and HAPPY BIRTHDAY.
After salvaging multiple boat motors several times from underwater, then getting them running again. While it may run excellent initially. Over time the Gremlins will show up. Almost entirely electrical. Rebuild starter generator, recondition, use anti corrosion methods. Overtime you will get shorts and faults, ignition issues. Take apart and clean every electrical connection. Replace wiring that had insulation exposed. Corrosion will ultimately screw with impedance or resistance values for sensors. Your starter may take a crap shortly. Coil packs can fail. Pull all electrical components off, look for anything water breached. Replace it. Use dielelectric grease on wire end before crimping and on terminals and surfaces. Use the industrial kind utility companies use for electric boxes and other connections. No auto store junk. Do that and you won't experience the misery that usually follows within the year. An amazing recovery and resurrection.
Well Done...Congratulations and Happy Birthday Alfred!!! This has been a really fun series to watch and your Never Say Die attitude is the best part. What a birthday present that was huh?
Alfred, da gusto ver tus videos, se nota que sos una gran persona que transmite buena energía. Felicitaciones al grupo de profesionales por el trabajo! 👏👏👏👏💪💪💪

So awesome! I’m smiling ear to ear. Your excitement is contagious. If you sell it for charity just make sure you follow the buyer. You can’t end the series until it’s pushing a boat at WOT!!!
YOOO you better go back to that part shop and demand your $1Million (and the BK 🤣) Congrats bro! Lots of hard work, blood, sweat and tears went into this project - this shows you’re not looking for the easy way out - and giving it away to charity speaks volumes about your character. Well done homie 🤙🏻

Great video, good to see the quality of A Merc is still hanging in there and it should provide good service. This kinda chit happens every raging storm.
These engines are bolted on transoms with lock nuts. They don’t wiggle off. #1 Who dumped it. #2 if it was dumped in Fresh water, no problem, no new parts needed, just take it apart, clean it up and start it up. #3 if dumped in salt water, toss out the electrical and injectors. Opinions please.
So what sensor was that that failed? Was it the fuel rail u bled? I'm a mechanic and its amazing how these engines are built just like car engines minus the supercharger of course.
