This is fantastic!! I did not know about the turtle hospital. With this and the Clearwater Marine Aquarium, it is great to see our animals thrive a little bit more!
I'm so glad that they opened it back up 😃 awesome 😎
Have you ever been. Might try and come down soon
That’s my aunt!!!! On tv
I was there in February 2020! I only saw a few manatees because they had left a week before my visit. The whole experience was something I'll never forget, and it's great to hear this is open again! I may have to visit again!
WOW! Thank you Jamie Woodlee, thank you TECO and thak you Fox 13 Tampa Bay.
I just love manatees, and sooo happy to see that they have such a wonderful sanctuary
in Tampa bay, as a child my family would take us kids to Bayboro harbor to see the
Manatees and Manatee springs near Chiefland as well.
They are so adorable
This is absolutely amazing
Beautiful
Fished that spot for years.
right on, i fished by the power plant discharge by st, pete as a kid
@@g-dcomplex1609 I Fished all around the power plant and Apollo Beach. We used to put in at cockroach bay and fish the curve in the shipping channel. It's a grouper hotspot if you fish it right.
Also lots of snook around there in the flats and cobia around the channel markers.
Peace.
@@NOXFPV now i'm a bit homesick 😔 i love that part of tampa bay you are referring to and as a child in the 1970's our family had friends in ruskin who owned a tropical fish farm who invited us over for bbq and fishing both fresh and salt water, i always had a blast, back then it was a rural area with lots of truck farms of which my grandmother would frequent and load up on various fresh produce as it came into season, she would being her own bushel baskets and us kids would help pick and pack up the veggies, i will always remember that area of hillsborough and manatee counties, especially around the southern end of the sunshine skyway bridge, some of my favorite fish to catch was sheepshead and spanish mackral when in season, actually i love to catch most any fish florida has to offer, , i certainly miss fishing and hunting in florida, as i now reside in the mojave desert, there is a small pond where i live that has bigmouth bass and rainbow trout, and they are both fun to catch and good to eat, the pacific has some decent spots to fish but not the same as good ol tampa bay, has the recent red tides wiped out the recreational fishing down there? anyrate, thank you for your reply, a good ol walk down memory lane was fun, regards.
Beautiful and gentle creatures 😍
Only hitch here, the viewing center wasn't closed due to the pandemic. It was closed due to the overreaction to the pandemic.
No it can prevent another outbreak. Stuff does exist, not likely to happen but it does and when it does it affects everyone differently. Don’t be selfish.
@@dea9800 another outbreak? Bro I'm still waiting for the first one.
@@quantum_immortal69 this is why kids can’t get into politics.
@@dea9800 I wouldn't want to be in politics with an alphabet agency like your heroes, that routinely violate civil rights and ruin lives.
@@quantum_immortal69 still a child
It's amazing that what is consider a big environmental hazard is actually helping an endangered species survive.
We can’t wait! We will be down in January & we are so excited to see the manatees and all the other Florida wildlife.
Don't forget to bring those hard earned Yankee dollars with you. Making Florida great again.
Happy to have you as a guest in our state.... Just don't forget to go back home 👍
@@BCaldwell Happiness is 10,000 Canadians headed north with a Yankee under each arm.
Been almost 40 years since I hung out with the St Mary's herd. Great animals, glad they are protected
I would love to see this
Well managed establishment.
Lowry park zoo need to install man made heaters in the hillsborough river. Area by the river next to the zoo that way when it gets cold that can be a spot they can go to for warmth
I feel like these are gonna end up being teenage mutant ninja manatees....the exhaust is warming them but what is it doing to their health?
Seriously?
They should set up a bait shop and let people fish there. The money would be great for their cause.
I know this isn't where you lived, but RIP Snooty!
So much education watch this
Open now but closed in a week.... just watch. Damn pandemic
This aged well...
*they are stuck and unable to migrate.*
They're not stuck.
