4L5B turk's head

- In this video I tie a 4L5B turk's head, a close cousin to the 5L4B turk's head. Although similar, this knot is wider and shorter, having 1 less part and 1 more bight.
The tying process for such a knot is not the most obvious, so this tutorial should clear it up!

Supeeer :) Thanks Mark.. That's the turks head I've been looking for, on mendrol :)
Confused about interweaves. So far I have learned them on odd number parts, (gaucho and herringbone that is) but don't think they work with an even number of parts. If so, please show us how, please.
Can u illustrate TH knots using a nails and a board. I want to learn how to transfer it to an object from a mandrel.
Mark
I tried Mikko Snellman’s hand tied knot and had trouble keeping the leads in place. I also tried Tom Hall’s knot but found it difficult the first time through. Your illustration is much more straight forward; thanks for sharing. Can this be expanded in a fashion similar to the 5L 4B knot?

What do you do with the ends?
I’d like to know how to finish the night by gluing?
If you tie a clockwise overhand knot ( a wall knot ) which makes a 2 l x 3b Turks head then enlarge it too a 4 l x 5 b Turks head it's so easy to do on one's fingers.
Why is it, they NEVER tell you how much paracord you need?
To determine the length of cord take the number of bytes and loosely wrap your cord around your mandrel that many times. If it’s 5 bites wrap 5 turns. If you are going to double the knot, take the first length and double it. Triple, triple the first length. Add 6 to 8 inches for extra working. That’s what I have seen done. It all depends on the diameter of your mandrel.
Hey Mark,
I have some lacing needles, but I really like yours. Where did you buy those?

How to finish this knot? Glue?
If you're using paracord just cut the ends and burn, you can tuck them under the weave if the ends bother you aesthetically.
Is it possible to make 5 lead x 7 bight ?
Have never been able to tie any knots this guy explains, don't know why... he seems to overcomplicate it. Also seems to miss parts out.
Overall I greatly appreciate your dedication and artistic ability. Having viewed a number of your instructional videos; I am sorry to see you “Speed Up” the latter portion of your video tutorial.
Being slow of mind myself; I would have preferred you not done so. Clearly, it saved you nothing. You expended the effort to finish the tutorial so you had to have done the work. There is no $aving by $hortening the video.
I like your slower, methodical, thorough method so I might follow each step. I would guess others will feel likewise.
Best Wishes
I got thrown off at the end by the speedup and got lost and had to finish the knot myself.
Looks nothing like the picture..
What you can do where he speeds the video up is go to settings (the little wheel by the play bar in the video) and play the video at .25 speed (the slowest speed) follow along slowly and frequently use pause, it works. It's can be annoying but it will get the job done.
Trying to put the gaucho. . .
