This is the midnight color. Same thing happened when I accidentally preordered a pink phone and thought it was red a few years ago 😃

Forgot about 120hz even if screen is 90 hz but dynamic changing then we can save battery when we are seeing statics content or video so small battery can be enough
Probably no space for a third lens and lidar. 120hz will drain a lot of battery even if it is variable.The battery on the mini isn't that great with 60hz so it doesn't make sense to put 120hz.maybe 90hz variable refresh rate

Typing this on my 13 mini. Loving it so far I had the 11 pro max and I do not regret the downsizing, more pocket friendly, not that much of a battery life sacrifice vs the 12 mini. So happy I held out.
Currently typing this on my 13 Pro max with one 1TB option in the blue color way, and I am loving it so far. I used to have the 11 pro max with 256gb option and space grey and I can say im enjoying the new Marco camera and LiDAR Scanner.
How’s the typing experience? Does it really look that small like in the video ? What are your regrets

Would love to see what sets the mini apart from the 13 pro line up. For example camera and video quality, charging speeds, one hand usage, sound quality for watching videos, and of course battery life.
I don’t think the iPhone 12 mini was that disappointing in sale. Apple needed a boast, so it started the rumor that it was the last year. And now the sales are probably higher like the SE(2016).
Going to wait a year to see if the minis are truly discontinued. If they are, going from my 12 mini to the 13 mini and probably won't change for a very long time. The minis have been my favorite iPhones and I don't want to compromise on size for quality of phone.
I think if Apple discontinues this line it will not be for good but only till battery technology changes and let put much more capacity into same space.
@@marcingajek5418 one would hope that, but if the smaller phones don't sell as well just like the 12 mini, I don't think Apple would keep making them even if the battery was as good as the 12 pro max. I would love the mini lines to keep going, but the consumer demand hasn't met their standards yet.

I feel with the 13 mini, you can grasp it easily. You can easily hide it in your pocket which is nice.
Typing this on my new 13 mini. Awesome. I have an iPhone 11 for work, and the mini is almost jarringly small next to it. I’m replacing a 6 and even compared to the 6 it feels compact. Can do everything with one hand again for the first time in years. Love it.

Buy mini, save mini! The smaller screen is not an issue at all. Surprisingly, believe me you get used to smaller screen quickly and you won’t even miss the larger screen of 13. On the other hand it’s just so convenient to carry and pocket.
Can you do a battery life comparison between the mini 12 and mini 13?

Just got my 12 mini yesterday from my provider and loved it!! Been on android for the last 6 years and I totally enjoyed it. Snapped an ultra thin case on it and a tempered glass 😃
It lasted 8-9hrs with regular use while I was working and still has about 10% juice left at the end of the day.
Back to iOS !
Can't wait to get my 12 mini soon!
@@manni06 I’ve had one since Christmas, I was one one of the betas that reduced my battery health to 88% in like 3 days, but it still has more than enough battery from me, even using a vpn.
I ordered the 13 Mini and it is supposedly being delivered today. I'm quite excited to get it. This should be quite a step up from the 6s Plus I currently have.

Get my 13 mini tomorrow. I wanted everything the 12 Pro Max had in a smaller form factor. I never use telephoto or the front facing night mode so those weren’t important to me. Besides I look ridiculous pulling pro max out of my pocket.
Just upgraded from the XS to a Product Red 13 Mini. Was hoping to be able to wait til later in the year, when my XS loses access to the latest iOS, but the battery decided to become incredibly untrustworthy, so here we are.
Loving it so far. Had to use an iPhone 6 for about a month last year, so the size isn’t freaking me out. And I’m really looking forward to making good use of the phone’s MagSafe capabilities.

OK, hear me out… Pre-Order a 13 mini, 512gb, with AppleCare+, with a full body real leather magsafe case to go with it and magsafe battery pack (to use as night charger too). The idea being to have an ultra-durable, one-handed, premium phone that will outstand during the next 4-6 years… In two years time get apple to change the battery and screen before the coverage runs out, and ride it out until the future phoenix resurrection of the mini.
They should have named it the “Air”. I’m calling mine “Steve”, really think it’s the one phone now that still honors Job’s vision.
You should just pay for Apple care+ monthly since it is the better deal
How do you get them to replace the screen and battery?
Better buy a more durable case like Rhinoshield or something. Leather case wears out and not so durable.

They have battery cases…. Battery should never be an issue for people. Just buy a battery case like mophie

I really dont understand what it is with all these corporations discontinuing things that people like the most. Is it a power trip? Cause if Apple doesnt continue the mini series, and Tesla DOES actually come out with a phone, Im throwing this thing in the recycling bin and getting a Tesla. If Apple doesnt respect what the people want, gotta go to someone who does.

So here’s my review, considering size Mini speakers are great. But there’s no beating to Pro’s speakers
If only apple made a mini pro phone (120hz, long life battery, more pro cameras), that would definitely sell a lot.
They would if it's possible. U can't have longer battery life and 120hz at the same time. Pick one or the other. They had to change the layout to fit a slightly bigger sensor. Forget about fitting a third lens and a lidar on it.

I honestly love my 12 mini. I don’t know the battery life is actually fine 8 hours screen on time in average is pretty darn decent. The SE 2 has bad battery. The 12 mini I never had issues with.

@@MF_OXF yes but i also don't play any games. Have all social media only updating when i actually use it. Facebook is a pretty big battery drainer. Games as well. Phone actually does fairly well with streaming.

Do you think they're going to enable on-device CSAM detection in a future iOS software update? Everything I've read thus far indicates CSAM is delayed, not dead

If battery your main concern, why not get a battery case?
Back when big phones were becoming popular, I had an inclination that in 5-6 years small phones will start becoming popular again. And, what do we know? It’s actually happening. I switched from a Plus iPhone to a 13 Pro, and now I wana switch to 13 Mini.
I had a iPhone 10 and it actually hurt my hands because it was small for me. I was used to the 8 plus size but I guess everyone is different
I felt like the minis will be gone in the iPhone line up and it will be replaced by another iPhone. And the minis will be the new iPhone SE but with a single camera.

I love my iPhone 12 mini one of the best phones I ever owned. I am for sure upgrading to the iPhone 13 mini, especially for the bigger battery and bigger memory.

Anyone know when they are supposed to ship? I have T-Mobile (I know I know) and we reserved them on the 17th, but haven't been notified that they have shipped yet. Website says (for mine) ship by the 24th, my wife's between the 25th and the 5th. I got the mini in Starlight and the wife got the Pro Max.
My red mini 256 is supposed to ship by the 24th. Ordered on Friday when pre-orders opened. Still no notification of product bring shipped... (Location : new jersey)

UPDATE: I got a UPS tracking number for my wife's phone which states the label has been made. They also sent me an email stating that they charged my card for her phone. He phone was supposed to be shipped between 9/25 and 10/5. No word on my phone yet.

though i go with apple with ipad and mac.., but phones are way costlier for most users plus notch looks big on smaller phones.., enjoying my pixel 4a, camera is comparable to flagships and fits all a normal user need, plus also very lightweight.

Alright current phone is the 12 mini and do like the size of it but yeah battery life is kinda crap. I also kinda want promotion display but the pro max seems ridiculous. You think 13 pro might be the way to go or just deal with a massive phone to get everything?
Thumb up for you and question, how is battery life in 13 mini? This is for now my biggest question. Here in Poland mini 256GB version would cost me about two salaries and this is a lot for me. Also - i`ve had android since forever really, never had iphone before but now i`m looking something smaller, more handy but that battery life is one big unknown. If you tested this - i`m counting on your opinion about that.
