      Wrong. In California and NY it is. You want to know why? Because those two states don’t think people are smart enough to understand contracts or what they are signing. Yes, many times that’s true. But those who look at what they are signing and understand the risk and reward, it can be a huge reward.
      To those who are saying it’s a crime, are the ones who have failed because they failed and listened to everyone that said it was easy money. Well, that’s your fault.

      @@juniortrucker3389 Even the ones who succeeded will tell you how fucked they were starting. You just put unnecessary stress on yourself. Like why not save up the cash while working for a carrier as a company driver? Relying on one company from your truck to your pay as a contractor makes zero sense. Anybody who wants to argue its a "business", either never ran a business or literally knows nothing about running a business. But hey, to each their own.

    I take 3-4 weeks off too when I travel overseas but I usually put 4-5k down in my efund before I leave. When I come back im not in the negative. Just put 200 dollars every week and then when you are about to go home throw one paycheck into the efund.

    Hello, peruvian trucker. Just a little advice if you want to take it. You should get out of prime and find yourself a good company to drive for. You probably will make more money as a company driver somewhere else.

      Which companies?

    • @SKYLINEThetrucker
      @SKYLINEThetrucker 7 місяців тому

      @mbroa2280 if you have experience and a good clean record, I recommend cretecarrier not because I work for them but they paid really well and the benefits are amazing. But my second option will be gp transco or Hill Brothers or klm. There are a lot of good companies out there. Just need to research depending on your zip code and what you are looking for in a company.

    • @Peruviantrucker
      @Peruviantrucker  7 місяців тому +1

      I have looked at my options and Prime is still the best option out there financially. Based on my personal situation at least. And my goals
      A local job comes with the expense of being local. And otr company pays less than lease. Yes, there is more responsibility, but there is potential for growth. Plus I get the freedom to be home whenever I want😉.
      I will probably settle for a local company job eventually. But not ready just yet 🤷🏻‍♂️

    Do you think it’s a good idea to work where you owe money to the company you work for? Also if you like to live a normal life and take time off why do you not choice to work local or a regional company?

    • @Peruviantrucker
      @Peruviantrucker  7 місяців тому

      I think that if you have a business, you don’t have time off unless you make it for yourself. Unless the business runs itself, there will always be a cost to that.
      Local or regional means I will be home more often. Home more often is nice but also means more unnecessary expenses (at this time). Everyone that says they make the same running local or regional as they do OTR, does not. It comes down to how much money you actually get to keep. There is nothing wrong with local or regional. It’s about each individual’s priorities😉
