Wrong. In California and NY it is. You want to know why? Because those two states don’t think people are smart enough to understand contracts or what they are signing. Yes, many times that’s true. Hello, peruvian trucker. Just a little advice if you want to take it. You should get out of prime and find yourself a good company to drive for. You probably will make more money as a company driver somewhere else.
@mbroa2280 if you have experience and a good clean record, I recommend cretecarrier not because I work for them but they paid really well and the benefits are amazing. But my second option will be gp transco or Hill Brothers or klm. There are a lot of good companies out there. Just need to research depending on your zip code and what you are looking for in a company.
I have looked at my options and Prime is still the best option out there financially. Based on my personal situation at least. And my goals A local job comes with the expense of being local. And otr company pays less than lease. Yes, there is more responsibility, but there is potential for growth. Plus I get the freedom to be home whenever I want😉. I will probably settle for a local company job eventually. But not ready just yet 🤷🏻♂️
@Peruviantrucker yes sir it's whatever works for you. I'm company, and I gross 105k with crete, but here they don't have lease purchase. So I'm looking to buy a truck and work with crete as an owner. Be safe, man. And keep chasing your goals.
@@SKYLINEThetrucker that’s actually pretty good for company! There must be a looot of potential if you bring your own truck! What kind of truck are you looking into? Or have you thought of?
Do you think it’s a good idea to work where you owe money to the company you work for? Also if you like to live a normal life and take time off why do you not choice to work local or a regional company?
I think that if you have a business, you don’t have time off unless you make it for yourself. Unless the business runs itself, there will always be a cost to that. Local or regional means I will be home more often. Home more often is nice but also means more unnecessary expenses (at this time). Everyone that says they make the same running local or regional as they do OTR, does not. It comes down to how much money you actually get to keep. There is nothing wrong with local or regional. It’s about each individual’s priorities😉
Make sure to get the new AI driver facing camera installed before you fail and turn the truck in. The only success story here is the company itself, all lease drivers fail.
it’s a down market because of all the downies trying to get out of the hole, running cheap freight. How does a kid living in a truck without any real bills not be able to take 30 days off without going into debt is beyond me.
You keep thinking I’m in debt😉. Also, election year, inflation, aftermath of covid inflated market?.. No?
